Lovely lobby! I love the illustrations. Nice breakfast area, too. These seem to be fairly new to hotels, at least post 1990s, beyond just having a doughnut, coffee or orange juice. I love having waffles for breakfast!
Me too!!! There are not many comfort inn hotels with exterior corridors or 2 story buildings left. And sadly choice rebranded it to their midscale brand quality inn

This is also a really nice place :) But if you ever go through Mt. Vernon Illinois Would you try staying at the Hampton inn off of 64? I've been to that one several times but it has been a long time since I have and don't know if they have remodeled it yet or not I heard talk that they were going to.

I know I am 8 years late but still today in 2020, Rocco still works at this hotel if nobody knew that. Even though it is branded as a quality inn, comfort inn and quality inn are the same company

Interesting that it has a ceiling fan. It's already rare to have ceiling-mounted lights in hotel rooms, so a fan is even cooler! (Sorry for the pun!)

Worst Frontdesk Service Ever! I had to call a Police to get my room key reaccess.
When me and my parents checked in last night, I got confirmation that me and our family would check out by 12:30pm and Answer was "Yes". In the Morning, I was moving my bags to my keys around 11am and then room key access was denied. I asked Frontdesk Spanish Women that I need an Access to the room, then she said "Checkout time is 11am, Housekeeping can't go home because of you"
Seriously?????
I told her I got confirmation we will check out by 12:30pm, but she says " Stop Yelling! I will call the Police" She doesn't even try to confirm with previous employees and doesn't listen to customers. My Parents and I were so disappointed with their service attitude.
I said "Yes please do it" then, she changed her words "Police won't get here ever" and she's calling her manager to confirm. So, I had to call a Police and explain my situation.
After 5 min, the police officer came and she renewed the room access. And then she and her other Spanish women disappeared from the Frontdesk. If Comfort high Managers or Owners of this Location who really care about customer losing, then you'd better fire those spanish frontdesk women and housekeeping. They are killing your Comfort Inn Business to UnComfort Inn.
Future Travelers... Be aware of this rude and unkind service at Comfort Inn.
She never tries to help and tries to fight you and care about their shift off to go home.
My heart beats so fast still and my hand is still shaking.

It's the room that they gave to them since it's one of the few available at the time.
@@johndeerefan725 That sounds really interesting! I probably never knew about ADA compliant hotel rooms for many people with disabilities.
@adankim2232 ADA rooms are designed for the handicapped but there were a few left, so they gave it to Dieselducy. We were in an ADA room in 2017 at a Hampton Inn because they gave it to us since there were a few left.

@adankim2232 I was, we were traveling to South Carolina, and we stayed in Tennessee at a Hampton Inn, and they gave us an ADA room
