- In memory of Professor Dr. Malik Badri (May Allah have mercy on him), here is an interview conducted by Professor Dr. G Hussein Rassool, Head of Psychology Department at the International Open University (IOU) on the topic of Islamic Psychology.

May Allah have Rahmah on his soul . He was such a pleasant individual to be around and a very inspirational figure who truly left behind a legacy for the Ummah . May Allah grant him the highest level of Jannah .
I met this great man in 2007 when he visited University of Karachi, in the 2nd international conference of institute of clinical psychology(ICP). He truly was a genius. ❤

I really needed to find this man. I got to know his name from a documentary about Malcom x. I'm studying psychology in Germany and need some guidance in my studies.

اللَّهمَّ اغْفِرْ لَه ُُ وَارْحَمْهُ، وَعَافِه ِِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ، وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ، وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ، وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالبَرَدِ، وَنَقِّه ِِ مِنَ الخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الأَبْيَضَ مِنَ الدَّنَسِ، وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَاراً خَيْرا ً مِنْ دَارِهِ، وَأَهْلاً خَيْرا ً مِنْ أَهْلِهِ، وَزَوْجَاً خَيْرا ً مِنْ زَوْجِهِ، وَأَدْخِلْهُ الجَنَّةَ، وَأَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ القَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّار
Good people are enlightened by God and He gives us the power to do something, even if it is not for them

Have muslims heard of this genius? No. They are being entertained by Our preachers like Mufti Menk and taken for a ride. Once I wanted to become a physchologist and then in the past few years I come to the conclusion that Psychology and Physchiatry is mostly fraud. I often wondered if i was a lone muslim for having such "heretical" beliefs. It turned out that I do have a twin in faith, but he left to be with his lord when i came to know about him. I am a truth seeker and so was him.
I am a revert from Europe, and I am reading Abu Zayd Al-Balkhi's Sustenance of the Soul by dr Malik Badri's translation. El hamdo Allah.. So maybe not many muslims heard about him, but some of us... I am a truth seeker myself. May Allah bless us all
@@diszpinty2008 I do have that copy but it seems very short around 150 pages.
I would love to read it one of these days. But for now its shelved until i get some time.
He has another book as well called Dillemma of muslim Physchologist.
I couldnt find a free copy of it anywhere.
