You know you're a legend when the audience gives you a standing ovation before performing. The sweetest and saddest things about this performance is that is she paying tribute to the Paris victims. However, I KNOW she is thinking about her dying husband, Rene' when she is singing this song as well. She's such a strong woman -- I don't know how she can still perform knowing her soulmate is in his deathbed. She's such a legendary class act. Simply incomparable! I know and it's very sad. Céline still alone (even they have a very extended and very close family) with 3 young children. Her oldest is already 15 years old but the little twins are only 5. I know they were well alware of this risk when they decided to be married together but it's sad nonetheless. Thankfully, she is in a good relashionship with all René's 3 first children. They love her like a second mother.

ce qui est d'autant plus puissant c'est que son mari et le seul homme que Céline a eu dans sa vie est mourant... je suis née et j'ai grandis au Québec, mon grand-père paternel était parisien et est mort le 19 octobre dernier. Nous étions en froid depuis 5 ans pcq j'ai choisi d'être musulmane... je suis déchiré de partout pcq ma famille est européenne, ma mère est italienne et j'ai grandis avec les plus grands chansonniers français... Piaf c'était une de mes artistes préférés et je l'écoutais pour me rassurer de mes peines. Ajd mon coeur est en larme pcq mon pays a été touché... par la haine, l'ignorance et la destruction. You know you're a legend when the audience gives you a standing ovation before performing. The sweetest and saddest things about this performance is that is she paying tribute to the Paris victims. However, I KNOW she is thinking about her dying husband, Rene' when she is singing this song as well. She's such a strong woman -- I don't know how she can still perform knowing her soulmate is in his deathbed. She's such a legendary class act. Simply incomparable! No one will ever top Celine Dion, in my opinion...

Céline did an amazing job....I don't know how she sang without choking up. I bawled during the entire song. Edith Piaf's song was also an excellent choice. GOD BLESS to our brothers and sisters. Qui est là après les JO de Paris ? Presque 10 ans après les AMA. Cette fois-ci sur la Tour Eiffel, elle a atteint la grâce absolue. Ce qui change entre les deux interprétations, c'est le décès de son mari. Elle a chanté l'amour pour son mari à Paris et on le ressent vraiment.

We are grieving hard here in Europe for our French Brethren, but it doesn't mean that we don't care about the losses of human lives in Mali, Lebanon, Syria,etc. It's only natural to be touched more, if this happens to your people, but love is not a limited resource. If your hearth is genuine, love can be multiplied.

Edyth Piaf, la môme Piaf, ne se serait sûrement pas attendue à ce qu'une personne telle que vous chante cette chanson qui est un message d'amour. Mais un gros merci pour ces personnes qui sont parties et qui ont pu voir avant de mourir un proche décéder avant que ce ne soit leur tour. Anna et Marion, deux soeurs sont mortes ce soir là, les parents n'ont plus d'enfants. La dernière a pu avoir le temps de leur envoyer un sms pour leur dire "je vous aime". Ce soir la, ça aurait pu être pire encre. Bon courage à ceux qui s'en sont sortis.

I'm also the same citizenship than Céline Dion. I am also a French person from France via my mother. I am also a real fan of what Edith Piaf was used to sing. EDITH PIAF was unique and I have to admit it the best voice in the world. Now we are in the year of 2016 and the best singer in the world is Céline Dion... so if you think that Céline did not meet your expectations for that wonderful performance she did. C'est vrai que Céline est toujours restée l'une des artistes les plus chaleureuses et les plus simples malgré son succès mondial. Le Québec nous a toujours envoyé ses représantants les plus humbles et les plus talentueux. C'est juste que j'avais envie de poussef mon petit coup de gueule parce que ca fait ch*er de voir qu'ils y a toujours des nazes pour critiquer. C'est le problème des anglo-saxons : ils ne voient que par la performance alors qu'en France, c'est l'émotion qui prime. Qu'est ce qu'on s'en fout qu'elle chante parfaitement juste. C'est le geste qui compte. Et ça fait du bien. Elle l'avait déjà fait pour le Louisiane à l'époque de Katrina. Là encore en territoire lié à la France.
I know and it's very sad. Céline still alone (even they have a very extended and very close family) with 3 young children. Her oldest is already 15 years old but the little twins are only 5. I know they were well alware of this risk when they decided to be married together but it's sad nonetheless. Thankfully, she is in a good relashionship with all René's 3 first children. They love her like a second mother.
The only thing you need obviously is a meeting with a psychiatrist. It's a tribute for dead people idiot, not a personnal show. She had not earn any money to do it and you have not buy a ticket so shut up !

For myself, I believe it was either intended or perhaps humanized , for the sake of the intensity of meaning which she evoked. ce qui est d'autant plus puissant c'est que son mari et le seul homme que Céline a eu dans sa vie est mourant... je suis née et j'ai grandis au Québec, mon grand-père paternel était parisien et est mort le 19 octobre dernier. Nous étions en froid depuis 5 ans pcq j'ai choisi d'être musulmane... je suis déchiré de partout pcq ma famille est européenne, ma mère est italienne et j'ai grandis avec les plus grands chansonniers français... Piaf c'était une de mes artistes préférés et je l'écoutais pour me rassurer de mes peines. Ajd mon coeur est en larme pcq mon pays a été touché... par la haine, l'ignorance et la destruction. La France est un pays d'histoire et de culture, où les croyances ce mélanges depuis des siècles... un jour les coupables paieront! j'ose espérer que les français resteront unis malgré leur différents, si non... on donnera aux terroristes ce qu'ils veulent; nous diviser pour mieux régner, il ne faut pas les laisser gagner.
