    Well I am convinced that the New York Knicks series is over. Brunson for all the great things he has done all year sometimes takes his hot 🔥shooting teammates out of their shooting rhythm. Knicks were keeping a small lead with Deuce and Donte filling it up but the ISO ball starts. Sometimes he just tries too hard to get his with everyone standing around. That is when shit fell apart. Now Josh Hart is injured and it seems to be a pulled ab which doesn’t heal in 2 days. Pretty sure they finally depleted all their resources. I can’t see them winning at home without Hart. He is the glue

      Agreed, i need him to pass the fucking ball more often. He gets hot and hogs the ball, which is fine if he’s hitting shots. Problem is by the time he goes cold or is contained the rest of the team is already off their game or cold.

      Yea everyone is sold on Brunson, if he was more of a distributor, then MAYBE he is a top-15 player in the league. Brunson's FG% and 3pt% is pretty horrible in the playoffs. He is trying to do everything as a shoot-first point guard and you can't win that way unless you are Iverson and Brunson is not Iverson. Brunson has ability but his main job is to get the ball to Randle when he was healthy. Brunson putting up 35 shots a game and not shooting it well, you can't win that way, he is not playing like a floor general, he is playing ISO ball like Melo and he doesn't have a fraction of the offensive repertoir that Melo had.

      On Mike's WFAN show, he got lots of prank calls. All talk show hosts have to deal with such things, of course, but Mike in his arrogance took it so personally that it only made people ever more determined to troll him. He got pranked more than anyone. (Contrast, for example, with longtime WFAN host Evan Roberts, who legitimately finds these things funny, and just laughs them off. That's probably the best way to deal with it.)
      Somewhere along the way, it became a thing to work Jason Giambi into the conversation. Say, for example, the Jets were having a rough season (they usually were), and someone would call in as a perturbed Jets fan demanding that the Head Coach be replaced. "And if you are going to say that we can't fire him unless I can name a replacement, I have one right now: Jason Giambi!" And Mike would get mad, and we'd all have a laugh.
      I have no idea how or why Giambi became a mainstay of such calls, or if it started with one person or with a group, but eventually it took on a life of its own. If someone wanted to troll Francesa, they would frequently find a way to bring in Giambi's name at the end of what had seemed like a legitimate call.
      So yes, a lot of us find the whole thing amusing, how it drove Mike absolutely nuts, and it continues to get a laugh whenever someone references it.

    Knicks are in a no-win situation going forward. If they lose in game 7 at home then its a bad look, but they are going to get stomped by the Celtics if they make it to the next round. A couple weeks ago it looked like they could give them a run but no way in hell with this current rotation. And maybe no Hart? Forget it.
    Pacers should've really had this series wrapped up already

      With all these injuries, I don’t think their in a lose lose. They are still competing while getting valuable playoff experience. Boston been in the ecf like 6 times in last 8 years so they battle tested.

    • @NothingToPointOut24
      @NothingToPointOut24 3 місяці тому

      @@lombardo141 TBH I'm not a Knicks fan, just an observer of this series and the potential next one. Knicks are a good team but they dont matchup with Boston. If they were fully healthy they would be but I think any Knicks fan really has to toggle with the opinion of preffering to lose a Game 7 to Indiana where injuries could be used as an excuse. Or to prob lose in 5 against Boston and it might not even be that close.

    • @NothingToPointOut24
      @NothingToPointOut24 3 місяці тому

      @@jnyce2nyce The experience factor does matter. But I'd also argue that if this Knicks team as its currently contructed is going to get to a conference finals and potentially win it, it would help if OG and Randle were on that team. If a goal is to get someone like McBride playoff mins, that might not matter too mcuh if he's playing in Phoenix next season

      @@NothingToPointOut24you couldn’t be any more wrong. Show me a team that goes from not making the playoffs to all of a sudden getting to the finals and winning. Some of you so called fans are entitled they are just beginning on this journey. The only player who has championship experience is Divo and his role on the Knicks is more important. The entire team is benefiting from this, well except Randle and hopefully they move on from him.

      I agree with you 100% this is why I didn't understand why Pacers didn't run the tired Knicks in game 5. The TV made sure we saw Hart's black tape on his stomach. Haliburton shooting 6 times and passing up layups in front of the rim. He took the bag too my friend. Now the betting starts with a broken Knicks team as Indy don't run. Same out West. Boston playing no Jimmy Butler while losing to Cavs. Ant seems like he is trying to really win. I am a Pacers fan writing this.
