i think it would be cool to do this classic format again (in terms of stars + non stars), now that the metagame has developed a little bit, i think the teams will be a lot less unbalanced now that everyone kinda gets that stars on guys really are that strong as far as the tournament format it would be nice to have more of the games on video even if it meant fewer total games, potentially going for a shorter group stage and a longer bracket stage since i'd imagine that would make it easier to plan out it's also a small thing but it would be nice to flash a standings/bracket graphic on screen before/after games so people can follow the overall tournament from any given video
My favorite format did not disappoint! I absolutely love drafting teams and watching what players can do with them all season, cant wait for the next event!
Game Spoliers: Well done hunter!!!! truly a dominate performance all classic damn near undefeated and papa it was a valiant effort, was pulling for you the whole way and you are the only person who can say they beat hunter this classic, it was a hell of a series and a classic and I eagerly await the next one
i wonder if a draft where stars on/off is tied to the stadium is anything. for example, if Dennis drafts Stars On DK Jungle, all of his home games are fully stars on for both teams. that way, teams are drafted with one mode as the focus, but needing to keep the other in mind. could make for a weird and imbalanced bracket, but the draft would be super interesting to see. maybe for a shorter classic?
Next classic should also be Moonball but with hazards off and hazards on stadiums to pick between rather than just "two people get Bowser's Castle" etc

Idea for next classic have all of dinger city each assign a value for stars on and stars off of all the characters take the average and every one picks a team within the budget draft can be like a reveal of what the consensus prices were and now everyone has to pick a team on the spot Next idea make a scrubs only team One team is all bones like 2 of all 4 and one bones of choice that’s stars on Or a koopa/paratroopa team with 2 of each and one stars on of choice Or toads or shy guys This classic would need to be 6 teams and you’d need to be creative for some of the teams Let me know what you think
