Suffered from insomnia and butterflies a lot so with a weird feeling I would wake up early at an airbnb with some great friends I met in november. I had some alone time in a crawling type low ceiling secret room while they slept. That's where I spent my time stretching, planking and doing some weight training. I would just play this song on repeat almost crying with my mix of feelings from 6am till 9am. Listening to it again im still overcome with emotions. Really REALLY powerful and personal song to me. Definitely something I'll try my hands at.

One of the best renditions i’ve ever heard of torches. One of the best things about Vinland saga is the opening song Mukanjanyo and torches. It really depicts Thorfinn really well- enraged by anger, hate, and revenge. Then at the end of each episode, Torches, his dad is telling him to let go of all that hate, anger, and pain he feels and to live. Your cover depicts this so well. Thank you for your amazing talent!
Honestly I wish the show had gone more into that for the first season, but we do see a lot of it later on in the story which hasn't been animated yet. Such a beautiful story about finding peace and letting go of hate.

I just stared at the scree following the lyrics and without realizing I started crying. Definetly one of the best covers, if not the best one of this song I will ever listen. Bro, your interpretation/touch (of the keys) is on point. Although I haven't heard the original song, I can feel the emulation of the singer yelling on the high notes. The softer parts are really flowing melodically - nice phrasing.
