Back in the late 1970's I was trained in Foosball by a Million Dollar Tournament professional who was going to Utah State University at the time. This guy was an ex-Navy Seal and also a professional Foosball referee. I had never seen a player that was so good. His shots were lightning fast and his accuracy was amazing. He took a liking to me and began training me. It wasn't long before I exceeded even his skill and we began making the rounds in northern Utah and southern Idaho. We were unbeatable and we soon got a reputation and had people come from all around to challenge us. We had ambitions of going to Las Vegas and playing in the million dollar tournaments but never made the trip. After the championship players now I regret never going because these guys suck. No kidding, I watch these guys play and it's shocking. We would have kicked their butts.

The million dollar tournament was played on tournament soccer table, which used the same men as the löwen table, which kinda evolved in the lehmacher P4P table, which itself evolved into the ullrich table. Actually nowadays the Ullrich table is the closest competition table to the Tournament soccer table that is being played on. Anyway I think it’s really safe to say the guy above would never be able to beat any of the teams displayed here. Those guys have been « breed » by the likes of the Dieter Thiele and other european legends that indeed went to the states in the late 1970/early 80´s to play the million dollar tournaments and did really well over there. There is so much more than what meets the eyes here.
I played in the 70s, have started playing again, yiur right, these guys suck, me and my old partner would have done them easily, and, if this is the final, and there was 800 entries, what does that tell you?
Could someone direct me to a warped board foosball tournament video if u know of one? I have a warped board at my house and was looking for some tricks for that but it seems these are much more popular.
Before watching this take into consideration this match is being played late sunday night after 3 intensive days of competition with 700 players in the room/80 tables being played on. As we don’t hear any other match/practice on other tables, that means all the tables have been already packed up, and there is barely no one watching because it must be so late... must be like 3 or 4 in the morning? Also it’s a very strange feeling to play in a big empty room after having it full for 3 days... check my « rico fun match » video to have an idea of what it’s like. Also there was certainly a gentleman’s agreement between the two teams to not care about time violations, and if you ever played against Christian you know you’re in for a loooong game :-)
we have this in our office but it looks cheap and the surface is not perfectly level so the ball has it's own mind. it moves around by itself so it's hard to control. and and we flick the rod the table also moves. lol!

*I don't understand the point of serving if the server can just spin it through the hole so that the ball goes toward their own 5 bar every time. You might as well just play tournament rules where it's a coin toss at the beginning of the game for first possession, and then whoever gets scored on from then on gets first possession on the 5 bar. It's just making the inevitable more efficient.*

There are hardly any snake shots in this game. Only the guy in the white t-shirt was doing them when he was in front, but he was mainly playing rear position. The others are playing pin shots. Pin shots are much more popular in Germany.
In italy where everyone plays table soccer they are illegal. You cant score if you stop the ball, you cant score if you hit 2 times the ball with the same line. You must always hit the borders of the table before strike for a goal or shot at first touch. This make the game fast as fk and you raly on reflex and skill
no referee when the ball is dropped in the middle? its so fixed because the team dropping it will drop it to themselves. But then again, after a goal in real soccer or should I say football, the opposing team gets the ball after a made goal.. ELITISM!!

The guy in the white t-shirt had great defence. The losing team's attacker had good 5 man but couldn't beat the keeper enough.
