    Thanks for featuring me on the channel again! I enjoy the statistics on players who win the points coming in and staying behind the baseline. I’ve been trying to come in a lot more as it should be an important part in everyone’s game. Much love again thanks for the feature 😊

    You’re absolutely right, I have to angle volleys above the net. Will be thinking about that next time I play

      @2MinuteTennis  4 місяці тому +2

      Yes. Low volleys should be hit straight ahead from where you are. High volleys should be angled short.

      @@2MinuteTennis That makes complete sense. I’d always guess and sometimes just freeze up but I’m glad I have a game plan on volleys now

    Brilliant as always.
    Who ever said fire dies off after a while, they haven't seen Ryan still doing these awesome videos.
    Cheers,

    Really interesting advice. I really worked on my volleying at a later point in my "career" when i became more adept and confident at the net (the Pure Drive also really helped improve my volleys) but i never knew these intricacies. I wonder if i did some of it unconsciously but i doubt it!

    Good tips! Yeah, the volley was a bit dockey! :)

    Makes complete sense, you're thinking like a tennis Grandmaster. I'll try to remember that when I'm huffing and puffing around the court.

    hi ryan, i have a question for your Q&A: if you had the idea to bring a printed matchplan to your next match, as a reminder during the battle: what notes would you write on it ? (only one sheet, a few notes, no book). i tried this and found out, it is not easy! for example: "play deep, attack short, play angles" i mean, it is all obvious, but sometimes i feel so braindead in a match that it maybe helpfull to read some basic strategies, to get back to what is important to try. so, what notes would you write down or recommend? all the best kiesbett

    So luckily the opponent didn't get that volley

    Why does his opponent not lob the moment he gets into trouble, and use the time to reset his stance? If this were to happen to me, and I know my opponent were to win at the net more often than not, then why would I hit the ball to the net?
