Curtis is one of my good friends. We trained together in Chicago for about a year, and we both went to Harper college together. It hurt seeing my homie lose like that. Kudos to Overeem winning his fight! It’s awesome seeing Overeem/Blaydes train together. MMA is about respect, and honor.

I was lucky enough to meet Alistair “The Demolition Man” Overeem in Koh Samui Thailand. I asked if I could get a photo with him and he said no problem at all (he couldn’t have been any nicer). A true legend of the sport and one of the most humble guys I have ever met. In a league of his own! Thanks brother

That's what I've been saying too. I think Joe doesn't really care for Overeem much to invite him though based on how he talks about Overeem on his podcast. That's how I feel about it.
Joe is a fan of the Reem. Would be a great Podcast, with all the history Alistair brings to the table, the dutch herritage and all the fights in Japan. Would love hear more about that.

I've already been a massive fan of his, but this series makes me respect & love the dude even more with every episode.. Absolute legend of the sport (both kickboxing & MMA), and one of the nicest, coolest individuals in the business. Just like Cro Cop. Guess that's why they're my two favourite fighters of all time. Dude Overeem has become one of my favorite fighters. He is such a veteran with 89 fights. I admire the way he is always calm and confident before a fight. He doesnt seem to display nervousness. He is also very mentally tough and able to come back from adversity everytime.
He must be thinking .. there is nothing that this guy can hit me with that I haven't been hit before. I have experienced them all and I got over each and every one of them. : ))
Man considering the KO from Francis, the brutal Ground & Pound from Curtis and the slice on his lips vs Rozenstruik this guy should be regarded as IMMORTAL. True legendary warrior. A lion amongst men. Fearless, Proud and Loyal to the game. I love him with all my heart. My all time favourite since 2006 when K1 was the shit.

Can't say he is my favorite fighter, but he is a VET, he should be hall of fame one day from amount of sheer work in MMA, just like Bas Ruten has put in so much, he is up there with him in terms of dedication and help exposing the sport of MMA to the public eye.

We all like that unbeaten fighter who just beats everybody but what is even more impressive is somebody who loses and has the power to build himself back up. I wish overeem could have won the ufc title so that he could get more recognition from the ufc and American fans. I guess guess now is too late but still what an impressive carear he has had

He switched teams so many time. Jackson, blackzilians, old Dutch coach... Why stick to one team when you can travel and work with different camps.
