STL, please don’t apologise if you think your video may be too long, believe me when I say that without a doubt with you the longer the video the better, it’s just a shame we have to wait so long for the next instalment 😊 everything about your videos are top class from the content to the soundtrack…we are retiring in 5 years time to Prachuap Khiri Khan and your videos are so helpful… Su Su my friend 🙏🙏🇹🇭🇹🇭🇬🇧🇹🇭🇹🇭
Great video, I liked that the monthly rate at that $13 per night Nantra Hotel, was less than $390 (or $13x30). I think she said $345, thanks for asking her! Most UA-camrs wouldn't even think to ask important questions like that. I'm glad you noticed that delivery table, good attention to detail!
I’m staying at best comfort as per an older vid. Good location and the pool is a great place to OD on the sun. Been sick twice so my start here has been slow. Glad your videos are back
The ultra budget hotel is surrounded by so much to do, its size does not matter. The pleasure is in getting to see the busy malls and their stores, items, foods, and butts too haha...w/o having to go to them. Thanks for another good video STL; yours always leave me hungry for more - and for food!
I dropped in to see the budget hotel and ended up watching you wander through an Ikea. That's how damn addicting your videos are. Keep up the great work!!!
This one evoked a lot of memories of living a few years in Soi 22. Those exotic cars in Emshere reminded me of the curfews during the red shirt troubles. Owners of such cars took advantage of an empty Sukhumvit road to unleash their cars in high speed runs. Only time I ever saw (and HEARD!) a Bugatti Veyron in real life.
Hello STL, over the past year, I've been following your foot steps to most of your stays recommendations throughout Thailand, thoroughly enjoyed . And for the first time, you're following mine in this Nantra hotel that I frequented in the past year. Really nice comfortable accommodation and nice pleasant staff; not to mention the perfect location for both traveling, dining & shopping. But as this is a popular small hotel with long staying guests, make sure you book early b4 the price doubled or sold out ! Looking forward to bump into you by chance during one of these stays 😊
I discovered Chang beer in a Thai bar in midtown Manhatten, loved it, and had a wonderful night. Out here in Colorado I have two Chang glasses and a green Chang coaster - closest I've gotten to Thailand so far , but you've taken me just a little bit closer ; that whole country looks so great....and affordable. You do them a service , and all of us too. Thx.
Nice video, a couple of weeks ago i walked from nana to mbk center over the sky walk, some part was going down true siam shopping center and then up again on the skywalk. A thai person guide me true it, the nicest thing about this that i just meet the thai person by nana bts,i love those nice thai people.😇🙏
As much as I want the beach scene(s), this was *amazing* !!! Mad Dog looks like a place I'd love to hang at -- especially with that kind of live music, almost brought a tear to my eyes, it brought me massive joy to hear that! Looks like I'll be exploring Thailand first, rather than a South America road trip followed by Thailand -- Mexico, Ecuador and Columbia have too much high-risk turmoil for the time being. Thailand seems safe, affordable and comfortable. Btw, this forty minutes felt like about 15 -- never a dull moment, time flies when you're having a blast... Cheers!...from North Vancouver
Your content never disappoints … Your a very lucky man to be able to mix work with pleasure and living in a country that has soooo much to offer I think you should pinch yourself every morning to remind yourself of the life you live … Keen to catch up with you one day and have a beer 🍺
Me and my wife have enjoyed W Market many times over the last 7-8 years. Our choice of hotel is the slightly aging Hope Land some 150-200m away. We like your little tips about budget stays and will try to stay at your favourite place in Prachuap Khiri Khan i december. Thanks for your entertaining videos.
@@SideTripLife Perhaps you can give us some advice. We need to go from Pratchuap to Ko Samet, but sounds like a whole day in bus or train. Pre covid there was a ferry from Hua Hin to Pattaya, but that is gone... So thought about cutting trip in two parts if we can find a nice spot for a one or two day stopover, preferably not in Bangkok... Any suggestion?
I myself have lived in Bangkok for twenty years and I don't miss it The only thing is different than now is very crowded then way back and a lot of the new buildings all over the city. For me I would love to go back to visit my family and if I want to retire I would love to live outside of Bangkok City I have in mind Hua Hin is my favorite city for me to retire There.
You know I've finally figures it out. Your videos remind me of an adult Mr. Rodgers (A childrens show in America)for travelers and i just love them. Very informative, great vibe, and amazing quality. Cant wait to get back to the beach.
Cheers mate , staying at Best Comfort (as seen from your previous video) for Songkran, Now i will check out this videos budget accommodation. Really ❤ appreciate ❤ your channel . 🍺🍺✌🙏
I was watching the final touches to the outside when they were laying the pavers last November 2023 on the Sukhumvit Entry side and then in May of 2024 went in there a couple of times for meals and it was quite nice. Just like Terminal 21, too many fabulous choices for food. One lunch I had to have the Swedish meatballs from IKEA....it helps to know that those budget hotels are near there at that stop on the BTS. Terminal 21 is still a fairly short walk from this area...maybe ten minutes, something like that.
That orange building ( you commented on ) near your budget hotel does thee best foot scrub/ massage It’s geared funnily enough to Japanese customers ,it’s extremely old school and professional A great way to relax after walking around Bangkok ( Po Thai Traditional Massage )
Just back from 2 months in LOS. Fitted in some STL specials at Sun Beach Hotel in Prachuap & Sea Breeze House in Khanom. I think those places fill up quickly & according to staff there lots of them are your viewers/subscribers.
Just returned from Bkk two weeks ago. Wish I’d seen this video before i arrived, but my timing was off! Wow how Bkk has changed over the years. More generic with all of the franchises and chain stores but all in all much more liveable. Another great video, keep them coming!
Been to EmSphere a couple times now, but never ventured past the first floor, mainly used it as a cut-through from 22, esp when the park is closed or too late to cut-through the Marriott.. :) Gotta check-out the other floors sometime soon
New subscriber here. This was an excellent video showing a part of Bangkok I've never been to. Definitely will book the Nantra in August when I return to Bangkok from Pattaya. Thanks for a great video.
Your commentary is great as always and having been in Thailand a fair bit I agree Firestick is a great idea. Just like being in Aussie TV wise. If you have any kind of Bluetooth speaker(s) with you they will improve TV SOUND way better.
Hi-end grocery store overload! In the area there are now 3 Gourmet Markets, there's Villa and Fuji and the new Tops in soi 39. Someone's making a bad business decision lol :D Let's hope The Mall Group comes out of this alive lol
Always great to see STL...... But did your Mother never tell you to finish everything on your Plate??? Mine sure did!!! With lots of tears and tantrums... lol..... :-))
Hi STL...Tfs Emsphere n budget hotels around that area. Didn't notice but if not avail there, suggest to head over to the Phaya Thai branch at bottom of KSL Tower. They had everything from massive $11,000 crop sprayers to Flycart30 delivery & rescue drones (plus great staff;)

Been hospitalized in Chiang Mai, Thailand before so I know the blues of being sick. Get well soon!!!

We were at the Emsphere when the IKEA first opened…..what a spectacular mall or destination…..can find anything there, always a fun video from STL!
Glad we got this extra day in Bangkok! Another fantastic adventure, keep up the great work. Looking forward to Hua Hin!
Bangkok walks are always fun.
as many times as seen the walks, it does not seem to get old.
Yeah to the new long videos! Not boring at all.
It is very nice to hear the Beatles song again and the trip in the city was great.
Great video. This guy has the gift of gab and Bangkok is so interesting. Around every corner is something cool. I love the empahsis on prices too

Thanks Bill. Bangkok not everyone's cup o' tea but loads to see and do. Enjoy! STL
Pocket 3 Creator Combo is a dream. I use this for 95% of my content nowadays. It's so much better in dark places than the previous model.

Nice one, perfect trip. More quiet beach town vids ahead
Great video bangkok is awesome 😎👍
Wow...what a vlog... luxury and budget choices side by side. Thanks
What is in your suitcase when you travel? Thanks
WiFi test at hotels depend on time of day it can be nonexistent say 7-10 and 4-8 pm and good at other times.
Yep, depends how many guests are sharing the same signal. Got 200 mbps up later, smokin fast.
Man STL ..... you sure have a way of making people jealous that they are not in Thailand. I am going thru withdrawals lol

Canadian here.
This is great. Interested in exploring other neighbourhoods in Bangkok. Have friends in On Nut. Will be there in a week.
Tribe is right across the street from my house, and it's owned by the sane folks who own Escape. Great spot to chill with my cigar!
Thanks STL, long but all good info 👍
Hey STL love the video. Am finding very little availability for the Nanthra sukhumvit 39 on agoda/booking. Any other place to book?
Pocket 3 Creator Combo in the States is $669 plus sales tax. Cheaper where you were. Great video.
Thanks for the entire great video and new things happening around Phrom Phong, I stay in the area all the time in Bangkok. You take care.
12.5k THB is a great deal for that location. Thanks for the intel!
That was awesome I love it.
😲OMG... 36:25 !!!😜Mexican Street Tacos❣
Don’t forget to get your vat back( Bkk airport only) on your way out of the country

You should do a vid on how to operate those power toilet seats. I don’t have a clue
Talking about Terminal 21 automated loos? Press the BUTT-on 'Shower/Move' and presto. To stop, click stop. That's it. Fresh as a daisy lol/555
How much baht is your room,?
Loved it, like being there which I hope later this year !!!
Great vid!!!
I think I’m going to ❤️ Bangkok !!!
Always great to see STL...... But did your Mother never tell you to finish everything on your Plate??? Mine sure did!!! With lots of tears and tantrums... lol..... :-))
Great vlog again!
I quick question, which are the best beaches that you have visited in your opinion? Maybe round it up to a top 5
Another great video
What app do you use to book the majority of your hotel rooms including this one from your phone or computer?
You always use Agoda ?
