Other than stickers and candy, when they get a little bit older they love a cheap chemlight. I got a bunch of the very thin ones that are used on parties and whatnot. They do not last long but they are cheap and colorful

I literally started carrying my Pocket First Aid kit because of a sting. We were at a wedding and a little girl was stung by ??? well no one had anything. I mean nothing. So I made a little kit. Thank you Medical Gear Outfitters for having the supplies.

Great advice, as a father of an 11 year old daughter. I'm there already and we laughed when we talked about it being in the first aid kit (she learns) 😂🤣. Great advice but my dude, the biggest thing I learnt...🤣😂 you're punching!! 👍🏻🇬🇧🇺🇸

Have some respect for the both of them, and yourself. I dont care if youre 12, you dont speak like that about another mans wife, or any woman. Check your heart, lusting with your eyes, is just the same fornicating with your body. Sexual sin sears the conscience like few other sins. Get control of yourself

Great kit! I would add some wipes and/or tissues, chewable ibuprofen, an oral syringe for irrigating eyes/scrapes, Pedialyte powder, and ear plugs. That last one isn't really first aid, but they saved the day for my little ones on a few occasions where we were going to have to dip out on something fun just because it was too loud for them. Oh, and Curad makes some little hemostatic squares that are the size of a postage stamp and they do a great job of stopping bleeding on heads and hands that are not a danger but want to bleed and bleed. I think they put the same tech in some of their bandages but I like that skin-flex line from Bandaid. 😉

Something like this for dads would be awesome. All the dudes and tactical crew only seem to worry about tramua. Strange really, you can save someone that's been shot in the arm or chest but if your kids scrapes a knee they are up the creek. I added some band-aids to my ankle kit.
Add some of the compact chest seals to this and your golden.

This is my absolute favorite video from Skinny Medic. Every single item mentioned I agree with. Any men that get squeemish or turned off by tampons or pads need to take a step back. Stop being macho and be a helper.

Very nice kit and well thought out. This would make for a great Mom gift from a Dad who cares. I have a comprehensive Get Home Bag with separate small bags inside for organization. One of them is a toiletries bag consisting of travel size mouthwash, cotton swabs, disposable toothbrush/toothpaste, foot powder, hand sanitizer (traumatizer, lol), and yes...tampons and feminine pads. I can tell you that the feminine products are the most used after band-aids. As a Dad, Dads/husbands need to take ownership of the fact that preparedness needs to encompass all genders, it's not about all that "tough guy" stuff. Remember this: "Happy wife, happy life" and "you are only as happy as your least happy child", so this kit is invaluable.

That looks like a very, well thought out first aid kit. One thing your wife is going to have to do is a short video on how to use some of the components. Sad to say, but a lot of mothers in their 20's or early 30's would not know how to apply a finger splint, wrap an ankle, or crack a chem light. I got over tampons and pads 9 years ago when my daughter turned 14. Put some in all our bags. Playtex Sports Active was what I chose after going to CVS and staring at the row of tampons... Very odd feeling walking up to the counter with nothing but 5 boxes of tampons...

Ordered 2 of these from their website on July 27th. Took over a week to receive because of supply chain issues, but that's totally understandable considering everyone seems to be experiencing those issues. Definitely a well stocked first aid kit for the price. I wish it would have came with some "sticky cube" inserts, as all the supplies (excepts meds) are in the bag loosely. Might stress out the mom or dad who has to search for the splint in the bag whose child just broke their finger. Nothing you can't solve by adding some cubes or other organization as you please. I added another SWAT-T because we have 2 kids and 2 is 1, 1 is none, kind of philosophy. I also added a penlight because I have wild boys who like to jump off things, so being able to assess for PEARL was a consideration I added. All in all a great piece of equipment to add to your vehicle.

My "parents Kit" is in a Condor EMT Lite RIP away Pouch.
It's on the outside of my backpack. If I don't need a kit this big I can easily remove it.
    It Contains:
    SWAT-T
    Compressed Gauze
    pressure Dressing
    4x4s
    One 10"x10"
    Ice Pack
    Survival Blanket
    Wound-Desinfektion
    Children-Bandaids
    Tweezers
    CPR Shild
    N95-Mask
    Gloves
    1x Chest-Seal
    Medical-Tape
    Adhesive rolled gauze
This Kit should Cover some not so Big Trauma and the normal booboos.
In the last 3 years it worked fine.
    I tried a few Time to replace the SWAT-T with a Gen 3 SOF-TT-WIDE.
    But it doesn't fit.
The Icepack is the biggest part in there.

I carry "spare" pads in my vehicles. Whether it is for family or others or soaking up pee from my service dog they are handy. When I was at work one day one of my officers (I work in a prison) said she needed to go home because she had started. She got mad when I pulled out a ziplock bag of Feminine products and asked which kind she needed. I had ALL kinds stocked. Of course it was our "Friday" and she just wanted an extra day off. After that I kept a gallon ziplock bag in my filing cabinet in the supervisor's office for such an 'emergency'.

This is so ironic. I spent half my morning looking at ifak options for my wife. She was at a pool party with my daughter last night and cut her leg. She is on blood thinner medication so your standard bandaids just wouldn’t cut it. This will be a great kit for her to keep in the car.

Dont do that. Its better than nothing. But tampons, femine pads dont encourage clotting, they only soak up blood. Spend 2 bucks and get some rolled gauze instead my friend.

  • @matthewellisor5835
    @matthewellisor5835 3 роки тому +1

I've carried pads and 'pons for years.
Yes, they ain't got much use for trauma but sanctified-feces! are you the hero when when you take her to somewhere with some privacy and out of sight of her friends and have a pad ready.
Also worked as the business owner. "I'll take your post. Here are some supplies. See you in a few minutes."
Ladies out there, how would that make you feel? That someone thought enough of you, that you were important enough to them to put a tampon or a pad into the kit that they carry every day?
