I have a stilo racing 1.9 multijet 88kw with remap and now is awesome, I love that engine, I bought it new in 2007, and was my first car, I have done everything to him, I have treated him badly and he always smiles at me
I have a 2003 Stilo with 5 door, same motor. It's a cool car I love it. 270kkm on the odometer and still goes like a champ. It smokes similiar to that one in the video. Of course I needed to replace the rocker panels because they rusted out, but nothing more is rusty fortunately. Old JTD loves high rpm, it pulls hard till 5 grand, however under 2 grand it's not as powerful as 1.9 TDI from the Golf IV / Passat B5
I have red one hatchback but its 59 kW, 2002 i own it for 17 years, odometer is 280.000 color is faded away, it was in collision twice and survived, changed gearbox once, i tried to keep it maintain as best as i can, for 22 year old car there are no error codes, clima control works, turbo works but one of mistakes i made is changing oil in one of the shady garages and from that point it consumes oil. Its banged up but still is going... JTD engine i can instantly recognize that sound I transferred Fiat Stilo in Unreal engine 4 and 5 you can find it on UA-cam Type Hatchback Horo, you can find playable demo ( don't know will youtube delete comment if i post direct link )
I have one with a stage 1 with egr off, Alfa Romeo Gt seats (the best upgrade are thr seats), and lowered suspension (much better than the handling on that one and it sits soooo good). 140 hp, does 5.2L/100km and actually goes faster than an audi a5 tdi 2.0 177 and also a bmw 1 series 2.0 177 😂 Ive had my stilo for almost 9 years now. A silver 3 door 1.9 jtd with the Abarth bodykit. Im going to sell it tomorrow, made 110k km in those 9 years but for the last 3 years I have barely driven it and I have 2 more cars but ill miss it a lot.
I drove this Stilo 1000km before the test drive and I had 5.3L/100km Nowadays I'm going with a Vw Golf IV 1.9TDI older and 30.000km more and actually have 4.8L/100km on almost the same traject
i have a quastion when you drivin the stilo becuse its a disle how much gas dose it need to take lik 10 or 20 rpm for the left side od the techometer can sombody tell me pls i know becouse you can let the clutch go but some disel need some gas as well
Mi padre tuvo uno, con esas llantas, con este motor y con esa averia de los precalentadores. Este video me trajo muchos recuerdos, el coche iba muy bien pero a los 320.000 km el embrague rompio y el coche fue al desguace :(
I've been looking at these types of videos differently after this one, mostly the fact I no longer trust "high body roll" since this is a car I've driven a lot and it is amazing while cornering without feeling any sort of roll at all.. high body roll in comparison to what? a sports car? Genuinely interested.
As you may now, I'm usually testing used cars. This is the feel they give it to me, I test a lot of different cars every week. This one have a soft setup in comparison with others of the same segment, but also you can feel that's original suspension with +180.000km and +20 years of use. You can find different health depending on the treatment that its owner has given it, is a fact.
Your 0-100 timing is a bit off. You're early shifting :) This little diesel engine revs up to 4500 RPM with full power... I personally get a 0-100 time (stock) of 10.3s (with a damaged tensioner that can snap at any minute)... after a simple Stage 1 tune (replacing the tensioner) I got it down to 9.2s... from 115hp up to 150hp > planning to go Stage 2 up to 180-200hp with 2.4 JTD turbo + fmic intercooler! Have a nice day!
I'm not a Stilo fan but hey, this diesel version is better than I expected!
Felt the same doing the test drive!

Italians doing it's own version of a Golf...
Does not have bad looking!
Thinking same here!
They had a good design job to not be the own Italian design...!
