This is the second home in which ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU we've replaced our "regular" doorbell with a Ring video doorbell and we really enjoy it. It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
it is an amazing device. as a doorbell, its revolutionary. i also have 8ch 1080p dvr system, the 2 systems are fantastic together, talk about piece of mind when away from home

how I can connected if I do not have door bell previously installed with electricity
I think that’s what the usb is for but I’m not certain

One important thing they don't tell you is that you have to charge the device 6 hour before trying to set it up....you would think that they would tell you that is step one... Charge device first.

Thanks for the tutorial. I am going to have to use double sided Gorilla Tape since I can't drill into my walls. Picked up one of these from the Google Store for $63.00 after taxes with free 3 day shipping.

There are contacts on the back of the camera that touch the wall plate.

mine stopped ringing the mechanical chime inside after a firmware update. is yours still working? I haven't upgraded to a newer one cause it still works like new minus the inside chime. upgraded transformer to 16/30 and a brand new compatible chime. still nothing. might have to get their plug in chime... bummer

I have a drill.....but the brick required a HAMMER DRILL!!!
If your a home owner you should always have most of the DIY tools. A good drill set is like #1 to get
Which number did you set your drill to? I took me forever to drill the holes in our brick and the wholes turned out cricked. :-(
I had it set to 9, but it did take a lot of force on the back of the drill to get the bit to grab onto the brick.

Hey I was wondering if you could give me some guidance on my install. Not sure what the old system I had on. But when I removed I had 6 wires. An Orange, Blue, and a Green. Each one of those had a white wire twisted up with it. Give me a total of 6 wires and to bare ground wire. Any help with a correct wire up would be great. Thanks for you time!
Sorry, I’m not sure what the 6 wires would be for. Best advice is to take a look at the doorbell inside and see which wires connect there.
