All these maps make me constantly feel like there is no possible way to hide from the enemy. They dont let you breathe for a second. Its kill after kill after kill. Its literally like an open field. There are buildings and stuff in the middle, yeah, but they all have so many windows or open holes that let you see through that make them be useless. Its a constant killing which in small maps I guess its okay, but in bigger maps there shouldnt be so many kills in so little time as there are. I dont know, it is really weird what they have done in this game. Oh and respawn points are just the worst I have ever seen. I literally respawned over a molotov fire last game and I wouldnt say that was my worst respawn so far...
Not only that, there is never a second to sit and reload and contemplate your next flank route, etc. The second you sit for a moment you're hit with another UAV or Scout Pulse. This is the worst MP shooter ever released.

These maps leave a lot to be wished for, I totally agree, having that many headglitches staring at your spawn is ridiculous. I feel like half the problem would disappear if their spawn system actually checked for sightlines, guess we left good game design in the bin many gears ago.
The thing about the spawns is that people are simply saying they don't make sense but they actually do if you understand what the game is trying to do. The game feeds kills to a player so they can get the highlight kill. This is why you get so many spawns that get you insta killed because they spawn you in the path of that play that favors them

Honestly, as long as they aren’t the MW19 maps, I’m happy. I’d rather have each of my tows sawed off slowly than have to play those wretched maps again But yeah holy some of these maps are atrocious, some good, maybe like 1-2 great
Hello roltzs I heard you were talking about the spawns I couldn’t agree more I did some testing and found it it’s more so player position in relations to spawn here’s an example: a teammate could be pushing enemy spawn and even tho majority isn’t in their spawn the flip occurs and you can get shot behind the back literally after spawning because of the flip, I think it takes into account player position but not what the player is looking at which is a big oversight In stakeout the side that’s a light blue, that bathroom spawn is horrendous an enemy can literally be aiming there and you’ll still spawn
You make some good points and I agree the maps are lacking on bo6 but come on man not everything is a head glitch. Taking cover and aiming down sight is completely different to holding a pixel peak head glitch. Most of the gameplay you showed weren’t head glitches. Apex legends had a terrible head glitching problem and was light years harder to hit shots on people abusing it. Also if someone’s holding a head glitch and have killed you a couple times you can just go a different way, flank them and give them back shots to let them know they’re playing like a rat
The problem is they are catering to the players who love to rush none stop and call everyone they see a camper lol. The majority of cod is a bunch of rushers with low ,k/d... So to help these noobs they decided to make sure theree is 20 entry points in every room , so these noobs can constantly shoot players from behide or the side... so they get the illusion they are doing great . they cry when someone is camping. 😂 thats why the maps are total garbage its designed for noobs to get kills .
I prefer the smaller maps and more frequent fights. I like being engaged the entire time, testing reflexes and aim constantly. A preference for small maps has grew in COD over the years. You can tell the community prefers it too as small maps became more and more popular and populated, with DLC always having 1-2, building up to what we have now. The slower paced larger map COD is dead. That isn't how most of the community wants to play anymore. Its either fast, chaotic action in multiplayer or slower paced, methodical warzone. I agree that some maps have too many angles to check, but the maps themselves are fine. You still have power positions and map control if you are watching where your team is and the safe areas/enemy spawn opposite of it. Its just at such a faster pace with less flanking routes. Yeah its not as tactical vs the older classic style but that style is on its way out.
I think the major problems with the maps are indeed the angles. You walk into a room and are expected to check 5 different headglitches and 3 doors leading into the room in the 300ms it's going to take someone to beam you because they're pre aiming. I want to play aggressive but if I run and gun on most maps I die instantly. Babylon might actually be worse than shipment
@@grantgarbour That is a hard map to run and gun on I agree. I think the maps could definitely be improved, not necessarily bigger in size or more lanes, but like we're saying here, less angles, cubbies to check, etc. Simplicity really goes a long way if the layout is solid. Raid is a good example from COD. Dust 2 from Counter Strike. Not a ton of angles to check in each area, simple, but fun layout that has an obvious flow to combat.
There are actually 2 ways to flank that overlook point you complained about in red card: theres an elevator you can call, and you can go left after spawning and then climb up a window on the right
I feel like we have very different definitions for headglitch. To me, an HG is when you can be shot by someone but not see their head.. if we can shoot each other in the head, that's not an HG... If one can shoot the other's while not being able to return a headshot thats an HG
The game has better map control and spawn switching than the last few games... but the maps are so small that it doesnt matter. It takes about 3-4 people to be in, and have line of sight on, spawn to switch them, as opposed to the last few games all having 1-2 or 4-5 people required. It's in the sweet spot of not being too ridiculous that you shouldn't be switching constantly or dying constantly on spawn. But the maps are so small that if 3 people push your spawn and switch it, the other 2-3 people on their team are already practically in your new spawn and, in some cases, switch them again shortly after. This effectivelly nullifies the changes as youre dying on spawn if it doesnt switch because they are already there, or switching because 1 too many people came back to your new spawn too fast.
The spawns this year are terrible, which i feel like plagues a lot of these maps, along with there is a lot more verticality and lines of sight compared to other black ops games (I always think of black ops 2 as generally this had some of the "best" maps) there is no flow with these maps, and the ability to spawn kill over and over is insane with basically every map
"hard to believe the same people made Black Ops 2 maps" Well buddy, you dont seem to know.... But you hit the nail on the head. They are not the same people. Studios are just people. People come and go and leave and ascend and get fired and die. Treyarch has not been the same studio since BO3/BO4
It's game of chokepoints, you have to constantly check every window and headglitch. I hate Treyarch maps and the new ones from Season 1 are just unreleased Mw2-3 maps that they didn't use, you can istantly tell that the new maps aren't made by Treyarch.
The people who worked for treyarch back in the day are not the same people that made this game. They would’ve either quit or had been fired a long time ago atp
For me a big part of why these maps suck... Are the spawns. Literally every game I'll die on a killstreak, from somebody who spawned WHERE I JUST CAME FROM. Or my entire team just came from.. It definitely seems like you have no influence on where they will spawn (like every other cod). Making games feel extremely unpredictable.
While I do agree that these maps feel largely uninspired and it feels like most of them are trying to mix several conflicting playstyles together, I can't fault them for having choke spots. I don't even use them myself, but they have been around for over a decade, so I don't personally think fixing choke spots are going to have a positive impact on the flow long term. I would have to piggyback onto most other people saying these maps overall feel largely overwhelming for a variety of reasons - instead of a traditional 3 lane format (including even the 3 lane maps ironically), it feels so much more like running around in an airsoft/paintball/lazer tag arena instead of having more breathing room to make space and have a coordinated strategy. While getting individual kills are very easy, actually staying in the game and getting streaks almost feel like an impossibility. Personally, I used to drop 15-25 streaks on good games back in CW and earlier, but now when someone gets a Watchdog Hilo the match basically feels over and that's barely halfway up the scorestreak chain. While I greatly enjoy playing the game and I truly think there is an adjustment period to the maps, since they're so new, there is something that just feels largely unrewarding if you don't immediately throw yourself out into the middle of an open field.
Babylon imo is my favorite run and gun map. I know there’s a lot of camp spots where people just destroy spawns but you just gotta beat em to the spots and you basically get hella kills while protecting yours and your teams spawns
What’s crazy is that headshots don’t even matter as much as in previous CoDs. So that makes head glitches even more problematic. No one- I repeat NO ONE enjoys getting multiple hitmarkers on FUCKING HEADSHOTS.
We need to stop saying “I can’t believe the people that made BO2 maps made these” because they didn’t. Treyarch is not the same company they were 12 years ago, I doubt a single person that worked on BO2 was present during map design for BO6
Are people ever satisfied with anything? They could add another 100 maps to the game, addressing these complaints, and people would still find things to complain about. Have you tried just playing the game and not overanalyzing the life out of it? If you know so confidently where these "head glitch" spots are, should you not be able to peek out and shoot there? It's insane to me that people will play these games, complain endlessly about them, and then not only continue to play them, but make videos about them. Just stop playing if it's that big of a deal.
these maps were made for super casuals. they're all camping maps as well. 90 percent of the time i get killed by someone in prone, that stays prone the whole match.
I'm surprised nobody made a comment complaining that they haven't fixed head glitch in yet. Which by the way, he wants to know how head glitching works, I recommend checking out this one Creator by the name of garbaj. He's a guy that's very well versed in breaking down first person shooters and how the mechanics work. And simply put, you can't. You can't fix it because it would literally require them to redo the entire gun play mechanics. Is anybody familiar with Far cry and how the gunplay is in that game? And how the guns interact with the world when you're behind cover? Yeah, if you want to get rid of head glitching, then that's what they would have to do. They would literally have to make Call of Duty multiplayer more like far cry. Which I don't think people want because people were already complaining that the campaign felt like a Ubisoft game. This is a hitscan FPS game. Head glitching just comes with the territory because of how the mechanic functions and how it can be abused to certain flaws.
U don’t have to explain bruv. All u need to say is the fact u can see spawn to spawn in every map besides maybe 2 is enough to know how trash these maps are
maps are overall too small. and the worst offenders in my eyes payday and babylon are so horrible imbalanced. non symmetrical maps are fine if the difference add up. extraction is borderline.
You have 3 lanes. If you can't flank, that's completely on you. What could they do to help you flank? Add a 4th lane? With boxes every 2 meters so you can take your time hiding behind each like Solid Snake? Hardly none of this is map design but rather you refusing to learn and play the maps.
Did you watch the video? Plug up some of the 10 god tier head glitches overlooking the entirety of each lane in most maps. Game flow is the most fun when flanking's an effective challenge to power positions, not the other way around. Leave the stagnant gameplay to Infinity Ward.
Objectively incorrect but pop off I guess 😂 let me know how many different angles you can be seen from in nuketown when you spawn. Then go count for me how many headglitches you find that see directly into either spawn, I'll wait.

So to help these noobs they decided to make sure theree is 20 entry points in every room , so these noobs can constantly shoot players from behide or the side... so they get the illusion they are doing great .
they cry when someone is camping. 😂
thats why the maps are total garbage its designed for noobs to get kills .
Great video.
I think some of the maps arw better suited to DOM, or Hardpoint, over classic TDM.
99th sub:3 heres to hoping another comes along
Thank you! Almost 100 is insane for me!
İ am happy that they did bring map voting back so that we dont have to play red card or lowntown and rewind every match.
Maps aren’t that bad outside of Derelict and Rewind. If you just play it like OG cod it feels like OG cod and that’s why it’s good
Uh what? You can’t play this game like “OG” CoD. Go play WaW or BO1 and tell me this crap feels or plays like OG Treyarch.
@ Run, gun, call in UAV, repeat. You also don’t have to use the Omni movement at all to be comp.
When people say this game is like OG cod they never played OG cod lol
@@danielainger Played every game on launch from mw2 to bo3. My expirence w this franchise is quite literally only og cod.
If they just fix the spawns, it would improve the game massively.
Protocol and Payback are brilliant imo
The game has better map control and spawn switching than the last few games... but the maps are so small that it doesnt matter. It takes about 3-4 people to be in, and have line of sight on, spawn to switch them, as opposed to the last few games all having 1-2 or 4-5 people required. It's in the sweet spot of not being too ridiculous that you shouldn't be switching constantly or dying constantly on spawn. But the maps are so small that if 3 people push your spawn and switch it, the other 2-3 people on their team are already practically in your new spawn and, in some cases, switch them again shortly after. This effectivelly nullifies the changes as youre dying on spawn if it doesnt switch because they are already there, or switching because 1 too many people came back to your new spawn too fast.
very good content , i never realized there are so many head gliches
These arent classic 3 lane maps. They are unflankable trash
It's game of chokepoints, you have to constantly check every window and headglitch. I hate Treyarch maps and the new ones from Season 1 are just unreleased Mw2-3 maps that they didn't use, you can istantly tell that the new maps aren't made by Treyarch.
Skyline is one of my favorite CoD maps the past few years.
Nuketown spawns are terrible too. You can have guys sit just outside the fences and take you out. Its aweful on hardcore.
It’s either the map is small or.. small. Like the map itself could be big but the way they design it sometimes makes it feel small
I really don't think the people that made bo2 work at treyarch anymore. It's been over 10 years
Answer they don’t: some maps work really well for some modes. For example redcard is amazing for HVT
It’s not that they are just terrible maps, it’s the fact that Recon exists in the game.
The maps in general are not great but they really need to sort the spawns out.
Babylon imo is my favorite run and gun map. I know there’s a lot of camp spots where people just destroy spawns but you just gotta beat em to the spots and you basically get hella kills while protecting yours and your teams spawns
And the B objective in derelict is simply in the wrong spot. There’s no time between enemy spawns and capturing the objective
The spawns are really bad on Babylon, but i can't lie it one of the most fun maps in the game lol. Great for camos and kills
All the maps need to be much bigger for any tactics other than run and gun.
Ngl I’ve only ever played Nuketown 24/7 in this game. Lol
What’s crazy is that headshots don’t even matter as much as in previous CoDs. So that makes head glitches even more problematic.
No one- I repeat NO ONE enjoys getting multiple hitmarkers on FUCKING HEADSHOTS.
This video only reminds of the trauma I payed $70 to receive
Game pass costs $9.99 😊 games on there from day 1
If this game gave you trauma you need to scold your ancestors for giving you such weak genes 😂
😭😭
Not to mention basically every wall is wallbangable
They also have a bizarre layout
You missed the horrible spawn glitch on pit. There’s one side that people can just sit on and people keep spawning it’s worse than any other map imo
We need to stop saying “I can’t believe the people that made BO2 maps made these” because they didn’t. Treyarch is not the same company they were 12 years ago, I doubt a single person that worked on BO2 was present during map design for BO6
Aw not all the BO6 maps are bad. Vault and Babylon, I think are pretty good!
Well, a lot depends on what game mode you play.
I enjoy Red Card in SnD, but not in TDM.
On Derelic you forgot to mention c side Spawm is really bad. Against a good team you have no escape.
Another problem is you can jump across all “lanes” from basically anywhere on the map
I think this game has a lot of head glitches 🌚
Smoke grenades and thermo is the new meta😂
Just cause 100% is crazy your welcome
I don’t mind the maps but they lack flow
Too much focus on head glitching and too little focus on the absurd number of sight lines that most spots on most maps have.
I ike the one with the sculpture thing in the middle
Idk wats wrong with these devs just take inspiration from the old maps I don’t get it bro it’s like they don’t know how to make good maps
Derelict is not a 3 lanes map it’s a 1 lane map
Its not the maps its the ttk, its too long. The headshot multiplier is barely a multiplier at all
The maps are bad . But there are more pressing matters that neee to be fixed first
You like all the maps i hate lol
train go........
Boom!!
I already went back to WM2019. I wasted cash on Cold War, WM2, and this crap.
that game is just as ass bro
I DESPISE Protocol.
Infinity ward made these maps and the game itself
Red Card and Rewind they should delete instantly ! No fun at all !
Anyway mostly maps are dump !
they are infinity ward maps
You can't really camp that much and the maps are fun... You know like a video game...
Nah u just enjoy maps where people can't have cover lol.
ohhhhhh my god lowtown is atrocious
Oh Yeah, also you would need like the 0.01 percenters of cod players that have god like reflexes to enjoy this game.
Same shi you complaining about is in nuketown, bet you love that map
Nah, spawns on nuketown are complete dogshit, at least there aren't that many annoying headglitches on that map
Objectively incorrect but pop off I guess 😂 let me know how many different angles you can be seen from in nuketown when you spawn. Then go count for me how many headglitches you find that see directly into either spawn, I'll wait.
They dont
Just give us black ops 1 maps and call it a day it's not hard lol
Cold War was so much damn better.
