I loved watching your videos of your Yacht Club experience aboard the MSC Seaside. You are hilarious! The pool deck waiter was on the struggle bus trying to figure out what a grilled cheese sandwich was ! Lol! There is definitely a bit of a language barrier on all MSC cruises, but I'm so happy you had a great time overall. My wife and I found the Yacht Club back in 2015 and never left.
MSC is for me. I live within an hour drive of Port Canaveral so I've taken a few MSC Cruises. My next cruise is scheduled at the AUREA level. And now your video is making me want to move to that finest experience. What fun!

Here is the part I don't understand. I am a solo traveler. So if I bid let's say $500 for an upgrade and I win do I have to pay the $500 or double occupancy another $1000? And that would be beyond my budget
@jpaulrice yeah. That is a problem. You would have to pay double occupancy for an upgrade. However, $500 seems generous. Maybe not anymore, but you could always try $250 per person (to total $500) and see what you get. I can’t remember what exactly my bid was, but I think it totaled no more than $900 for Yacht club, which was a great deal. If your bidding on something outside of the Yacht club, I would bid well under $500 per person.
Once you‘ve tried the Yacht Club you‘ll refuse to go back to a regular cabin lol . Been on several MSC cruises and never had a bad experience. We are going on Explora Journeys (part of the MSC Group) soon….it‘s basically a Yacht Club Only ship…can‘t wait to try them!

You know, I don’t remember if I said how, but, I can now! I had purchased a sale cruise for around $1200 for a balcony. I got an email upgrade offer to bid on the upgrade. I bid on yacht club. I can’t remember what I bid, but I remember thinking “no way they accept this.” They did end up accepting it, though. Of course, this was before cruising was back on high demand. You just never know though. If you get the offer, BID!l just in case!!!
So after you said this, I remembered talking about it. We actually had a room tour video that I thought was posted. It explained how I got the room. I apparently didn’t post it. I will be posting it shortly. lol. Thank you for the comment.
