My HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdw always shows printer failure event code: 50.04.00 I have already connected the power cord directly to a wall outlet. What should I do to fix the problem? I just unboxed the printer today, it arrives broken, lol.

Follow these troubleshooting steps in the order presented. Turn off the power by using the power switch, and then wait at least 30 seconds. Turn on the power and wait for the product to initialize If the error returns, turn the printer off, unplug the device from any power-strips or uninterrupted power supplies, and plug printer directly in to a wall socket. Ensure that the power source meets the printer requirements. Ensure that the printer is the only device using the circuit. Ensure the paper type and fuser mode are correct for paper being used. If the issue persist, this looks like hardware issue, and you might have to get the printer serviced. So, I would recommend you to contact regional support for repair options. I chose to connect via usb on my first setup, now we want it to be set up on wifi but we cant find anywhere where you can connect it to wifi, i have tryed everything.

@@HPSupport Thank you for replying and I want to tell you just what I went through this weekend -- it took 12 hours to figure this out. The problem was with the HP SOFTWARE ITSELF. But in the meantime, I first chatted with 2 HP technical support people, they both insisted that something in my computer was blocking download, and the first one said that I had to speak to my IT person. The second one suggested contacting Windows. I went to Best Buy to ask for some pointers of the Geek Squad. They thought it might be a Windows update problem. I chatted with Windows, they worked around the HP software but never did manage to load the software. Then my IT person came over and spent about 4 hours, talking to the hardware person who built the computer, who insisted the problem was with the HP software after they did diagnostics. My IT person then chatted directly with someone much higher up in the HP technical assistance department and THAT person agreed that the problem was with YOUR SOFTWARE. They logged in and fixed it. Now it works. But it took two days out of my weekend to resolve this, and I had a lot of other things that I needed to do. You really should look into all of your software. If I was having this problem then I wonder if others are too.

Your company made me lose 12 hours of my weekend dealing with something that was YOUR FAULT in the first place, and I had to hire my own home visit tech support to prove to you guys that it was YOUR faulty software that wasn't loading. And all you can say is that you apologize for the inconvenience, when I have to pay for a 4 hour home visit. YOUR techs insisted that something was wrong with Windows (it was not) or my Computer (it was not). I will likely NEVER buy another HP product again. In fact, I had initially purchased a new monitor this past Saturday, when your techs had me convinced that I needed a new computer (which I took back). The monitor was an HP product, and I promptly took it back and got a refund from the shop. I repeat, you have THE WORST CUSTOMER CARE and I'm going to Trust Pilot right now to give you guys a one-star rating. I also made a comment to the HP Community. You guys do not really care about your customers.
