- This is a introduction video and review of my new SNS KAMADO grill/smoker. Made by SNS GRILLS, it has two ways of cooking and smoking meats and veggies. You can either use the exclusive Slow N Sear feature located at the top grate level, or use the standard Kamado style way of ceramic cooking where the lump charcoal is in the bottom of the cooker incorporating the convection plate and grates.

Outstanding kamado Phil! That's gonna be fun!
Yes, one more to the line up. Can't wait to try out some ideas rolling around in my head. lol Thanks for stopping by.
Mercy! Nice cooker 🔥🥩
Miss this guy! RIP
Sometimes messy means good, but you know that Phil, it's part of what makes you a great pitmaster! That's a beautifully made ceramic grill that looks really stylish too. My cook sense tells me that this would be a good investment.
Hello Pete, thanks for watching and yes this one is a looker with all the SS. I have some cook ideas. First cook tomorrow. Cheers
Nice
Thanks for watching.
Gotta love new toys!!!
Yes, and I do. Now I can start over in the cooking list. lol Thanks Chris
Very nice 👍🏻
Thanks for watching. Looking forward to firing it up.
Too much FUN! You have fun with your friends & family without even cooking...can't wait to see how this works for you. Go get that new SNS KAMADO grill dirty. It looked like you didn't really want to pour that charcoal in it. Great Presentation!
MV, yes it is so purdy but gotta mess it up. Reverse Sear steaks tomorrow. Wish you and Jen could join us.
Hey my friend, really a nice smoker and nice setup! You are going to enjoy that one! Take Care!
Hello Skoggit. Yes sir I'm looking forward to many good cooks on this thing. I have some lined up. Thanks for checking it out.

Good for you!!
Hey there brother from another mother. Been missing ya. I know you were gonna take a break. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers
Holy crap that's versatile!
Yes Slow N Sear meets Kamado. Thanks for watching.
Phil your collection is looking like mine. Very nice cooker with the SNS.
Great intro Phil. Great job very informative
Thanks Todd. I'm excited abot this cooker. Hope you're doin good. Have a great day.
Wow! Man glad you got one of those.. Can't wait to see you cook on it.. Bout to get me one soon. That was very awesome that Dave from SNS took it out to you!! Loved the intro.. Looked like somthing at my house. Mmm what grill today? But what I have a SNS!!! Yes I would probably marvel over it for a couple days.. I know that feeling brother!!! Can't wait to see it work..
Hey brother, thanks for the comments. That's what I like about the YT cook community. I meet other guys who like what I like. I know we could probably be good friends but we all live a thousand miles apart. lol I'm excited about cooking on it for sure. It has a strong build with the SNS and the Kamado under the hood. I just did the first cook this afternoon with reverse sear ribeyes. That was one hot fire. They turned out nice. Upload probably Sunday morning.
Only a few hours 😎.. I'm in Fayetteville NC... Tar heels fan!!!
@@grillmaster07 oh okay, that's cool.
Hey there you lucky dog! That is a beautiful cooker ya got there Phil. Your excitement and giddiness was refreshing. I love the detailed walk through, loved the camera work, loved the editing, and I loved your enthusiasm. My wife, however, is not thrilled I watched this video… 😉 👍
hahahaha. Wives...They know us pretty good, right. lol Especially after 35 years. I'm still excited. I'm so use to shoving the kettle and wsm around, the first time I tried shoving this cooker it didn't want to move. It is heavy for something that size. All the ceramics. Just did the first cook, reverse sear ribeyes. Turned out great. Upload Sunday morning. Santa may bring your one if you hold your breath. Have a great weekend.
Phil you lucky dog that looks like a pretty nice setup right there, can't wait to see you cookin on it.
I am, I am, I am, I am .....,.................................... !!!! Stay Turned. MOF, just finished loading the reverse sear steak maiden cook. Thanks
Awesome bro
Thanks Michael. I'm really looking forward to cooking on this cooker. It's a different beast to tame.
Great video Thanks well done Just in time ! I am looking to buy my first Kamado. Narrowed down to the SnS , Kamado Big Joe 3 and Webber Summit with table . Love the SnS aspect but what i don't like is the lid hinge seems like theres a little too much play side to side on the lid.
That was a VERY good walk through! Thanks for sharing.
What's up Dash. Thanks for the good word brother. I have lots of ideas for this thing. Stay Tuned.
@@progers5019 Can't wait!
Congratulations on the new smoker can’t wait to see what you do with it
Hey Jared. What's up. Glad you like it. I'm looking forward to cooking on it. Thanks for coming by.
Very welcome
Nice cooker brother. It looks to be very versatile. So many different ways to cook on it.
Thanks Scott. I'm looking forward to cooking on it. Tried out a reverse sear Ribeye yesterday. It's like riding a horse that wants to run if you drop the reins. It can get hot fast.
QUITE NICE! Not much else to say, but QUITE NICE. Other than that I’m speechless.
Wow Big Lew. I appreciate the good word brother. I'm kinda that way too right now. Appreciate you coming by.
Waiting for Mods! LOL Nice Grill
hahaha, not much modding on this. You might see some cool accessories though. Thanks
RIP Phil 🙏
Hey Phil ... That’s a nice cooking machine Brother !!! I can see a lot of good cooks coming soon !! Congrats man !!
Yea, many many cooks to go. I got 2 down. lol The rotisserie accessory did a great job on the pork roast last week. Thanks for checking it out Sean. Cheers. Your Tigers are holding.
Clean looking setup, I was looking at these until I looked at the Weber Summit. SnS did good job tho with how they set this one up.
Yep, both are very nice cookers. Thanks for watching. Have a great week.
Congratulations, Phil! Of the multitude of kamados I’ve had, this one is my favorite. You’ll love it.
What's up Larry. Thanks for coming by. I've watched your vids several times to gather up some of your wisdom on the subject. lol Next, pizza on the kamado. Your recipes look great. Stay Tuned brother.
Great review PIF I did not know they were doing a kamado grill. Wow that thing looks versatile! The last two members I need for my stable is that and an offset. I'm looking at a reverse flow but can't pull the trigger. Frankly sns did such a good job with Weber accessories it's hard to find something you can't do on one these days lol. Anyway congrats on the new family member and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Janet!
Hey GT, thanks for watching and the comments. I've always wanted a kamado too. This one has a great setup with standard kamado and SNS capabilities. I have some ideas I want to try out in coming vids. There are lots of great offsets out there. Take your time and compare them all. I love the vertical slide outs. If I ever got another one, it would probably be one like Greg's at Ballistic. These other cookers will spoil you though with the ease of use and little fire tending. Have a great weekend.
Kudos phil
Thanks for watching Steve. Hope you are doing well.
@@progers5019 yw, hope you & yours are well also my friend
Nice new kiln you have there, now you need a pottery wheel... Lol.... Looks like a great unit, good video Phil.!!
Hey Pappy, you know we gone cook up some pizzas. Stay Tuned. Thanks-Phil
I like it Phil, i've been torn between the Acorn or a pellet smoker. All my toys come out of my pocket, so that beauty is not an option for me. Ive been wanting to do some briskets, so I have been eyeing the akorn or the small Traeger. I would like to see what you cook on it and see how it does. Its pretty cool you met Dave, you should have said "no kids were harmed during the filming of this video" lol kids will be kids.
Hey Kirby, I'm excited about cooking on this kamado. I've watched a thousand kamado videos in the past couple years I know. lol I'm pretty familiar with them in that regard, but no hands on yet. Tomorrow I'll crank up the SNS part and reverse sear some ribeyes to throw a little grease around. lol Yea, I thought I'd have a pellet before I ever got a kamado. Funny how things happen you don't see coming. You can't go wrong either way. All of us need a pellet in the line up. Set it, forget it. That's needed sometimes right. Thanks for watching. Have a great weekend.
@@progers5019 Ya things in life are sure funny how they turn out. Brotha Phil, enjoy your new toy. I would lol.
I'm jealous. We will be watching. Go Tigers ✌
Hey there David. Thanks for watching and stay tuned. First cook tomorrow, college football Satdy.
Nicely done Phil! Congrats on the awesome new Cooker!
HeyTom. Yes, a new cooker is something that you know something about. lol I'm looking forward to trying out some things on it in good time. Thanks for watching. Appreciate ya brother.
Congratulations on your new Kamado! Can’t wait to see what’s next and what’s your first cook! 👊🏼
Well Ric, since it is a SNS Kamado, the first cook will have to be a reverse sear steak. Tomorrow. Thanks
Great kamado smoker Phil, you are gonna have a great time cooking on that. Congrats on the smoker!!!!
Great video Phil! I have one of these also but haven't gotten to use it much. I will definitely be making more videos with it. Very informative video.
Hello James, what's up in Texas. Feel like I haven't talked to ya in a while. I have some ideas about this cooker and will try them out for sure. Didn't know you had one. Yea, fire that thing up. Appreciate you stopping by. Cheers brother
Great choice on the new cooker PIF!! That rig is a dandy and I can’t wait to see some final product!! Congratulations on the new addition to the bbq arsenal bro!! Have fun!!
Hey Jeff, thanks for the encouragement. I have a lot of thoughts on using this cooker. Stay Tuned.
Hey Phil! Looks like You got yourself a cold weather cooker right there! Super fuel efficient with infinite set up possibilities. Easy cleaning and maintenance
with all Stainless Steel parts and pieces. A proven style cooker taken to the next level. I see a lot of cooks on it this winter! Dave's a good man for delivering it in person.
Nice new Toy! 👍
What's up Ken. I know what's up, you have a new video up I need to go watch. lol We are on parallel paths with new cookers. Let's have some fun. I have lot's of ideas for this one for sure. Thanks for coming by.
Congrats Phil! My kamado grill is certainly my favorite. I'm sure you will enjoy a lot of great cooks. Maybe you can get Janet to make a pie in it!
What's up Jeff. One of the cooks on the list is a redo of Huli Huli Chicken. lol I'll always remember how good yours looked in the thumbnail. I have a lot of ideas. Stay Tuned.
Hi Phil. I'm from Sumter and was wondering if you could give me some pointers on getting my BBQ sauce business off the ground.
Hey J.L. Tell ya the truth, I'm not marketing my sauce. I just make a batch now and again. I have bottled it and put a label on the bottles just for fun. You may want to ask that to Scott over at The Real Show BBQ. He just started selling his BBQ Sauce. Thanks for watching.
New toy! You definitely need to dirty that bad boy up and get some grub ready :)
Grub begins tomorrow. Reverse sear steak. After all, it is a SNS KAMADO right. Thanks Ry
Now that is what you call a good friend right there! That is one awesome grill ya got there Sir!
Hey CB, yes Dave is a super guy. I want to see him keep doing well in his new business addition of the SNS Kamado. Thanks. First cook tomorrow.
Hey Phil, big congrats on the new cooker👍. The SNS kamado looks absolutely bang up top tier, can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Thanks Steve. I have lots of ideas. I"ll begin tomorrow with some reverse seared ribeye steaks since it is a SNS Kamado right. Then look out. lol
WOW awesome Phil. Can't wait to see that bad boy rolling some smoke. Ive been eyeing that grill ever since Steve got one. looking forward to your creations.
Yes Tommy, I've got all kinds of ideas I want to try with this thing. Guess I have a lot of WSM dna in me to leave it standard. lol Stay Tuned and thanks for watching.
Congrats on the new grill. looking forward to more great videos.
Thanks Craig. I"m excited about it, and can't wait to cook on it. Lot's of ideas.
Good for you Phil!
When r ya gunna get that thing dirty already? Hot and fast steak? A hot and fast Pizza? Either way make Saturdays more about watchin than cookin if u want. J
I'll be doing a first cook tomorrow with 5 thick ribeye steaks using the reverse sear approach. Stay Tuned ! Good to hear from ya J.
Awesome intro PIF ! Congrats on the new cooker !
Hey thanks Kent. Stay Tuned, more to come. Thanks for stopping by.
Love the intro. That is a nice KAMADO. i love to off set cook. I like all the different zones and features it has. I like the addition of that plate. You already know a lot abought this cooker! Very good video Phil! PAPA Texas PIF sauce will be made soon!
Thanks for watching and the good worf Papa. I've watched so many Kamado videos, I feel pretty comfortable in talking about it. Start off with reverse sear steak tomorrow. Stay Tuned.
HEY PHIL, that was one of the best videos I have watched in a long time, you were so explanatory on how to use the SNS, I don't think you left anything out that I can think of and your camera clarity was right on point. I love the idea of the smoker being all stainless steal, that is one heck of a design, I hope you have a blast cooking on it and I can't wait to see your first video. AWESOME JOB MY FRIEND GOD BLESS YOU AND JANET.!!!
Hello Joe, thanks for all the kind words. I'm still having fun. First cook tomorrow. Reverse Sear Steak. Stay Tuned. Thanks again
Great demo of the new kamado Phil. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Hey Rob. I'm excited to find out all about this kamado. Always wanted one. Have watched a hundred vids over past couple years. They can get very hot very qiuck. Stay Tuned for some fun cooks. I have some things in mind I want to try. Thanks
Thanks for the look at the SNSK Phil, looks awesome. I'm betting you're gonna get a lot of great cooks on that thing.
Hey Jaxx. You called it right. I'm excited about it, and have some ideas I want to try. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.
Nice grill Phil! If I was in the market for a Kamado, the SNS Kamado would be my choice! I love my KJ, but the Slow N Sear part of this Kamado would be great! Looking forward to your cooks!
Hey Craig. I totally understand that. You have a nice one too. Lot's of competition out there. They are all good. If you get a chance, take a look at the Ceramic Chef Store online. They have some crazy rack systems to go in these things. Thanks again, and hello to Jack.
Looking forward to see what you think of the ceramic cooker. They sure hold heat well.
Hello Louis. Yes, I've watched a ton of kamado videos over the past 2.5 years. Lot of watch time but no hands on (yet). We will begin to fix that. lol Reverse seared steaks tomorrow for first cook.
Good looking cooker!
Thanks Hobie. I can't wait to crank it up and try it out. Tomorrow maybe.
Hi Phil, great video and welcome to the kamado family... can’t wait see your cook bet it’s going to be something amazing 😉 take care
How ya doing David. Thanks for watching. I think I've watched a thousand kamado videos in the past couple years. I'm eager to try it out. First cook tomorrow will be reverse sear rib-eyes. Of course since it is a SNS Kamado. lol
Nice video and intro to the SnS Kamado. I had a Kamado Joe. Just like the KJ improved upon the BGE, the SnS Kamado takes everything to the next level. So happy with my SnS Kamado. Can't wait for more of your videos cooking on it. Maybe we'll even get to see some videos of the new rotisserie. :)
Hey Tom. Yes, lots of competition in all of the cooker lineups. I saw Dave's post about the rotisserie being in. That'll be fun. I have some ideas I want to try. Glad you are enjoying yours. Thanks for watching.
Congrats Phil!! Can’t wait to see your first cook! I say you let Janet borrow it for some sides too!
Hey Mike. We gonna do a crawl at the PIF site tomorrow. I hear since he has the SNS Kamado, he's doing a reverse sear ribeye steak, maybe 5 or 6 of'em. lol Thanks for watching. Yes, I'll need to show Janet how to use it. Maybe we'll get one lined up with her.
And I thought I had too many cookers!😳 You take the cake.
S & S wow it really looks like a Green Egg. What a awesome gift.
Never heard of it. Should cook for many years to come.
Nice thought out review Phil.
CC what's up brother. Thanks for coming over to my corner. haha. I like your channel name. Bet I can bout figure what that 72 is for. Anyway, I have just a few cookers. There are some channels that can't fit all of them in the shop or garage, so they start around the house. lol I'm gonna like this SNS kamado. Stay Tuned for some good cooks on it.
Love the new toy you have.. I've seen a lot on this cooker and I almost bought one.. Love all the option it comes with too. Dave sounds like a really cool dude and would love to meet him on day. Can't wait to see you cook on this beast..! Kick butt ending brother..!
Thanks Joe, it is a strong cooker with the SNS and Standard Kamado together. Pretty good idea ole Dave had with the inset rim for the gate hanger to fit there, and to design the sizing for kettle 22.5 stuff, including the existing Slow N Sear and pan. I have a lot of ideas in my head already. Most of them involve cooking on multiple levels. Lots of food, more than we eat. lol You one that would know all about that. lol
@@progers5019 I'm going to be following your cooks on this for sure.. If I feel it's large enough for my family I will consider buying one. A lot of thought went into this cooker and I like that.
That's a sweet cooker. Can't wait to see what you got in store for us on that bad boy
Hey Stacy. I'm looking forward to using it. Thanks for watching and for the support.
Wow, that’s some impressive flexibility!
Yes a built in 2fer. Thanks Walter.
Man, that’s cool Phil, I’ve cooked on kamodos a few times but that one is amped up. I think you came up with 100 ways to cook on it. Wonder if you can use that ceramic bit as a small pizza stone. Can’t wait to see you cook on it. Hope you guys have a great weekend!
Hey Pickles, thanks for watching and I can't wait to get it fired up. Tomorrow's first cook will be of course a reverse seared ribeye since it is a SNS kamado. lol Stay Tuned and have a great weekend.
Phil, fire that puppy up.
You got it, will do. Thanks Pepper
Congratulations Phil I think that is the best Demonstration of that cooker, that I have seen. I will be interested how you will put your spin on it. You had your chance to get trade in for the Texas Original. Maybe when you get your new 36" Smokefire you can trade it out then. That is interesting concept but I'm still a Kamato Joe 3 fan. Are we having spatchcock turkey for Thanksgiving. I've not seen any mention if you can use temp controller, or rotiseree on that cooker. I will have to say the sns was a welcome engineering feet for the kettle.
Hello John, I think the answer to all your questions is yes. Thanks for the good word too on the vid. The KJ's are good kamado's. Spatchcock turkey is a good idea. I'll keep that in mind. Temp controller yes guru adaptor installed. Just got word an hour or so ago Dave has just received some rotisseries for the SNS. I'm in on that. Have a great weekend. The offset will stay for a while longer I guess.
What the first thing You cooking on Uncle a Phil. Or is that Aunte jiffs she starting to take over the channel❤️❤️
Starting off with reverse sear steak tomorrow. Stay Tuned. You can give me some tips from what you've learned. Thanks Matt
They hold temps really well and once they get hot hard to cool back down so be cautious of temps Other than that I love it they give a wonderful flavor
Get cooking Phil
Tomorrow, Tomorrow, Tomorrow !! Thanks for watching.
Sir......i would like to ask for your permission to have your grills hand in marriage!! :) I promise to treat her right, and be there and provide for her at all times :). She is really pretty!! Just made me subscribe!!!
Haha, after much thought I'll say yes because I know you will protect her, cause I saw your Bushmaster. I have the Colt version. Thanks for watching and subbing. Lock n Load.
Break out a brisket.
Yep, that one is on the list. Thanks for watching.
Nice setup. Lol “you need to get rid of one” .... Nah, bigger porch with a terrace. 😁
Haha, we have solutions, make it bigger, right. This one just might cook that big ham. LOL Thanks Milan. Hope you're doing good.
That thing is TOO pretty, time to get it dirty!!!
Haha, yea, time to get the smoke and grease poppin. Thanks
