      What do you mean by can't slow down? Does the engine not go back to idle after cold start or being reved?

      Yes all noises and lumpy running got resolved. I fitted a full timing chain kit consisting of two new chains, plastic chain guides and two hydraulic tensioners. I did not change the sprockets as they showed no signs of wear. I also changed the vacuum pump chain and tensioner. The guide pad part of the tensioner was very worn.
      Millage on this is 136k miles but it has always been regularly serviced with oil and filter changed every 6-8k mile window.

      Hi. I fitted genuine Nissan vacuum pump chain and tensioner supplied by MAG in the UAE. The timing chain kit I got here in the UK and it is a BGA branded kit. I did a lot of research before buying a kit as there are a lot of horror stories and negative feedback about some of the popular big brand kits from companies like F#A and others. Whatever you do, don't buy an unbranded kit from the Far East. Do it once and do it right. If not, your engine will pay the ultimate price for using poor quality parts.
      I highly recommend removing the engine for doing the timing chains. I did the job with the engine in situ, and it was a nightmare due to lack of accessibility. It would have been quicker and easier if I had just dropped the engine out.

      i understand this kind of job , i been a mechanic in uk and i have a primera with the same engine made in uk :) , on mine i have replaced just the upper chain and guides because i couldn't do more at that time and now the engine vibrates just at idle and i want to understand if its the ASHIKA shity timing chain or injectors thanks for your reply

      @FLO_A_S did the vibration start straight after doing the timing chain? Have you listened to the injectors? If it only vibrates on idle and not at any other revs and it seems to run fine above idle I would of thought it's not an injector problem. I'm my experience if an injector is not right it's noticeable all the time not just at a particular rpm. It could be a case of slack in the lower timing chain due to chain wear or just the lower guides and tensioner being worn and causing a bit of slack in the lower chain. Because of the dual chain set-up and the high compression ratio the chains take a hell of a beating along with the guides.
