I always enjoy your videos. You go to beautiful locations and you explain how and why you are shooting the scenes. I agree with you that your scouting image is stronger than the second version. Sometimes our failures can teach us more than our successes. Thanks for taking us along!
Thank you! Haha yeah I have a closet full. A friend used to work for the company and every year they would have a massive sale for employees and friends. I got to go once and took full advantage!
Looks like a fun outing! I'm going to have to get backcountry permits sometime soon. I really like the composition on that one at 4:26 - nicely done. Interesting how that final comp ended up at 14:07. Idk about you, but I've noticed that when I'm focused so much on setting up the video and narrating, it's SO easy to end up botching the composition. Where otherwise if it were just me out scouting or shooting alone without video, then I rarely have the same regrets
Oh great… one more person trying to steal my permits! Just kidding, you definitely need to do it. And you’re 100% right I really do struggle trying to do video and capture images. Then again I screw up plenty of images when I’m not doing video as well haha
To be honest trail ridge road is an area I haven’t spent as much time as I’d like. Especially in the fall time frame. There’s an area Ive visited about a half dozen times trying to get an image of longs peak but you haven’t seen the video because I never get the image! There are a few places to park near rock cut that offer incredible views and several trails to explore. That’s where I usually go because it gives great vantage points for sunset.
I should warn you though… you’re visiting at the busiest time of year and I imagine those parking lots will be absolutely NUTS. Be very careful, especially when pulling out. You basically have to back out into the road.
That’s good, if you make it in before 5 you don’t need to worry about a timed entry permit. That’s a long way to travel, I hope you get great conditions!

Terry, you are 100% correct.
Fortunately for me, I have many failures to learn from!
loved your discussion of composition
If only I’d had that discussion with myself while in the field!
Just discovered your channel . Glad i did and looking forward to binge watching through the winter .
Welcome to the channel! I’m a bit behind on new videos but should be getting some more out shortly. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful images
Thank you!
Beautiful shots, must have been a blast searching for all those!
Thank you! It’s always a good time having the camera out in rocky. Except when the mosquitoes are out…
Nice video. Enjoyed your discussion and the scenery was beautiful. I see you are a Fjallraven guy! I love their products too.

Enjoyed hearing your thought process on the images. Fantastic shots as well!!
I noticed some blueberry legs in one of the shots…
so strange, and all the way out there!
Yes, Marsh Marigolds (surfboard style leaves, bright white leaves)
I’m not sure why but I can never remember that haha. Thank you for confirming!

@@MrNegative ha! I prefer when the weather is pretty bad, so I doubt I'll be adding to the competition much
绿色饱和度太高了
Probably. This is using the “velvia” film simulation on the Fuji camera and it does tend to push the saturation. Thank you for the feedback

Thanks for sharing Jim. I'm visiting your state in less than a month ... What's your favorite place to stop on trail ridge road ?

@@MrNegative Thanks for the advice, i will be on the road very early, like 5:00 am, so less crowd i guess 😕By the way, i'm from Quebec

Great video! Which trail is this, please?
Thank you. A lot of this is in the backcountry so not off any named trail. The earlier shots are off the east inlet trail
