I use Gutenberg in Drupal ever since it startet up. Makes theming much easier, it's easier for clients that came from WordPress. Fast loading pages because it creates slim HTML. I can even create Drupal blocks for repeated content and bind them into Gutenberg. And I like your videos :-)
Thank you very much Ivan. I'm currently in the middle of a Drupal 7 > 8 migration. I have used Gutenberg effectively on WP and was very happy when I seen a stable version of it for Drupal 8. :) This video was a lifesaver thank you, I greatly appreciate it.
It looks really cool and all, but I probably wouldn't use it, for the reasons you said but also because Drupal 8's new Layout Builder basically does the same thing and is part of Core, so has way more backing and support.
Thanks Ivan! Very nice overview of Gutenberg for Drupal. Curious to see the progress of Layout Builder vs Gutenberg, since both are kind of new at the moment.
Great video Ivan! Hopefully the Gutenberg module gets a stable release soon as I believe it would ease content creation so much..However it threatens to make modules such as paragraphs, display suite and modules similar to them not needed anymore. Perhaps not needed is not a good word, but highly unlikely that someone will use them when a tool such as Gutenberg exists.
Thank you Ivan! Great work on this video. We're happy to announce that we've released a stable version of the module. Can we use this video as a part of the documentation on drupal.org you think?
Working on a site that has this now and I absolutely hate it. What a mess! If you want a sloppy layout experience and even messier markup filled with all kinds of nested wordpress classes in your drupal site, this is the way to go. Have fun trying to style this bullshit.
Hi Ivan, great video. At quite the end you said you would not use it in production. After more than one year, with lot's of commit on the project and a stable version, did you change your mind? Did you try it on production site? Any update about this video? Thanks!
It impacts the cleanliness of your markup - gutenberg will make it look like shit and make templating a nightmare. Why would anyone use an editor that throws out drupal's CKE fields? It creates a convoluted mess.
I find the data format so bizarre. Putting json objects inside html comments?? Why not just have the whole things as json and put the html in as a json value. Then in any database with json field support you could still drill into that data and retrieve things, or migrate it or whatever. I guess it allows you to add a gutenburg block anywhere on a page but it seems like a pain
Ok, how to use it with multiple textareas on one content type? How to pick another text format for every text field? Sory gues Guttennberg is unusable right now.

Thank you for making easy to understand the possibilities of the tool.
I need to try that Gü-umm-buurgh module :)

Great video, Webwash; very nice explanation. You are the best! Thank you!
Thank you for all your videos!
AT the end of the video I decided I will use paragraphs module.

^this. I'm working on a site now with Gutenberg and its total shit.

Absolutely, happy for you to link to this video.
Nice video, thank you.

hi I installed with Drupal 10 it doesn't work ( I tried on different themes it doesn't work 🙄
You save my time Ivan

I've created a custom block using create-cloud-block how/where do I add that to my drupal 9 site without using gutenberg cloud to host it?
This is like mega evolution stone to drupal
IF you mean like a stone that drags you underwater and drowns you, then yes.
You spoke of a security risk. But what about speed? does it impact loading times??
I haven't had any performance issues using the editor. But I haven't done any testing.

can we handle twig of content in gutenberg
Not interested in the drinking game, but quick search trough autogenerated subtitles says 40. Cheers! ;-)
I don't drink as well, added as a joke. :) But wow, 40!
I have a problem. I installed Gutenberg but it isn't save.
No idea, you'll need to debug further. Look for errors and search the project issue queue to see if others have had the same problem.

You can still add custom fields; they should appear below the Gutenberg editor.
@@WebWashI dont wonna see gotenberg by defoult in feull screen. And how to change text format?
@@OnThe100 Best to ask in the Gutenberg issue queue.
