I think there is one slight mistake in clockwise rotation, that too is only in figure. As in anticlockwise rotation the hypotenuse is rotated by angle theta( new angle is not theta) . Similarly in clockwise rotation it should be rotated by angle theta (new angle shouldn't be theta ). so theta should be angle btw both hypotenuse.

for clockwise direction i think theta angle will be above the p' line, that is at same place as it is in anti-clk wise direction diagram.
hi raushan
for clockwise and anti clockwise rotation the only change is in angle.
if i have an original and resultant image how would i find that how many factor it is rotated, translated, sheared or scaled and along which axis??
In the clockwise rotation figure drawn, the angle rotated must be theta(i.e angle between original and rotated) and not the angle between the x-axis and the rotated line.

Is it true that we have to solve problems based on rotaion(2D) using homogeneous value otherwise it's wrong?

not like that if we use sequence of transformations then only we can have homogeneous coordinates and matrix representations. for basic rotation we need not go for homogeneous coordinates.
