  • The camp classic saga of a washed-up, one-hit wonder rollerdisco queen. Starring Candace Corelli, Fred Rothbell-Mista (aka Rocco Primavera), Leni the Genie, Bobby Ebz, Ax, Sadi, William Tucker (aka DJ Honky Slaughter), Mark Coisneau, John Alot, Roy Frumkes, and the Funkybutt Dancers, will an awe-inspiring dance solo by Todd Idol. Shot entirely in NYC 1989-1990. 16mm color, 20 mins.

    Before Roller Girl, there was "Funykbutt", and no, it has nothing to do with Buddy Bolden.I found this while searching for a Fred Wesley track & it took me right back.
    I got no idea what became of Candace Corelli but she was one wacky, talented gal!
    Candace showed me this when we first meet back in the 1990s - it made me laugh then and it still does. I think this may have been a student film, but it is worthy of the company of John Waters and "The Wild Side".
    Many thanks to Julanne Berg for posting it. The camerawork by Joseph S. Spald III is very entertaining and the whole film holds up,
