I havent used mine outdoors but the rubber seems pretty durable. Not as good as xdr shoes or li nings, but it definitely seems better than a lot of nike's shoes.

kd 14 is the most versatile, its probably the best all-around shoe made. TY1 is bad on a dusty court and because of the lacing system you should only get it if you are a medium to wide foot.
