For your commuter train you could do a native wildflower seed throwing....in hopes for pretty flowers.. Foliage is super too! Thanks
I hope Mass Coastal is getting lots and lots of new freight business!
I worked at a plastics company back in the 80s in Newton MA and our resin was delivered bi weekly by rail. On the occasions rail wasn’t possible for maint reasons on the track or other issues, delivery was by truck- costs were double and offload rates where twice to three times what it took to o/l by rail. There is no question rail is way more efficient and even greener compared to trucking. That doesn’t even factor in road maint costs, bridges and other factors. If MA hadn’t chased industry out by the barrel full there would be no better investment than rail . Having said that in order for significant rail infrastructure upgrades to be worthwhile there has to be a need at the other end... moving just people around won’t carry the nut....
I drive over the track quite often. Hopefully I will catch a train the next time I’m in Taunton.
I made a post on my community tab about saving the Falmouth line. If that is ok with you #south coast rail videos?
@@SouthCoastRailVideos thx. Can ya please look if you choose to of course?
Is this siding just used to store and run around cars, or do they need it for passing too?
They didn't "drop" the cars. The correct railroad terminology is they "set out" the cars.
Thanks for watching! Drop works just as well and I use it all the time.
Is the siding a team track or is it for one industry? It looks like a boxcar and a tank car was dropped off. Love the livery on the Mass Coastal
Great to watch our freight system at work great video thanks
Thanks for watching!
