      I'm glad you mentioned Brixton because I did consider them. However, I couldn't find any current stockists or import agents for them here in the UK. Perhaps they're restructuring their operations.

    Lol any of these available in the U.S. by chance? These looks sickkk! Sadly I don't think any are sold here.

      Nice looking bike. Not available in the UK but very similar to the Herald Brat 125.

  • @Mean-bj8wp
    @Mean-bj8wp 4 роки тому +6

    The herald is junk mine has lasted 2 years still has 10 months before before 1st mot not a week went by without a fault they don't care once they have your cash. The AJS is basically the same as the herald but built better with AJS quality control.

      What brand would you recommend?

    • @Mean-bj8wp
      @Mean-bj8wp 3 роки тому

      @@michikool depends on what type of bike your looking for. I've gone from the Herald scrambler to a Zontes ZT125-U which is a hyper naked street bike they're world's apart. Although personally I would say the best scrambler style 125 is the Zontes ZT125-G1 it's only 3k and has a LC DOHC 4v full power engine with 6 gears, bosch ABS, bosch EFI, cast aluminium banana swingarm, LCD dash, 37mm USD forks, 17 inch tubeless spoked wheels, Led lights and indicators, crash bars and bungs, back-lit switchgear, ECO mode, under belly exhaust, lever guards and bar end mirrors. It's a damned good looking bike I very nearly bought one but wanted a street bike so bought the U. If you can find a better specced scrambler style bike at that price let me know.

    RETRO BIKES HAVE CHROME WHEEL RIMS . RETRO BIKES HAVE A LARGER WHEEL DIAMETER . MANY OF THESE
    LOOK LIKE A CROSS BETWEEN A MOTORCYCLE AND A SCOOTER DUE TO A TOO SMALL WHEEL DIAMETER . WHAT
    THEY CALL RETRO IS NOT REALLY RETRO . SHOW ME ONE BIKE OF THE 50S THROUGH 70S THAT LOOKS LIKE
    THESE. IF YOU LIKE THE BIKE , FINE , BUT DON'T CALL IT RETRO . THEY'RE NOT .

    • @ultra-ride2446
      @ultra-ride2446  3 роки тому +2

      Here in the UK the common usage of the word 'retro' refers to something that's modern but designed to imitate something from the past. The bikes in the video are all retro inspired. The degree of that inspiration is variable and also has custom bike influences. The word 'retro' is now commonly used to categorize the types of bikes featured in this video.

      @@ultra-ride2446 THANK YOU MY FRIEND IN BERMUDA HAS A BULLIT HUNT . MY COMPLAINT IS
      THAT THE WHEELS ARE EMBARRASSINGLY SMALL AS IS THE HEADLAMP . THE PEASHOOTER
      TAILPIPE IS THE ONLY THING THAT IS ACTUALLY RETRO LOOKING. EVEN THE TANK IS TOO SHORT .
      I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD PRODUCE AN ACTUAL RETRO LOOKING BIKE INSTEAD OF ALMOST RETRO.
      I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING BUT STILL , I AM LEFT UNSATISFIED WITH WHAT THEY
      ARE PRODUCING TODAY . STUBBY LOOKING BIKES AND TOO MUCH BLACK BLACK BLACK .
      PLEASE COMPARE TO A 60S TRIUMPH , A VELOCETTE , A VINCENT , AN AJS , A RUDGE , MATCHLESS ,
      OLD HARLEYS , OR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING TRULY RETRO . TO BUILD AND PRODUCE A BIKE IS
      FINE . THE MORE POWER TO THEM . I JUST WISH THEY WOULD STOP WITH LABELING THEM
      AS RETRO . THEY ARE TOO FAR FROM IT .

      @@williamjonas4013 It seems like the motorcycle industry was unable to create a more fitting name for these types of bikes - at least in the English language! Thankfully here in the UK we call bikes from the '50s & '60s 'classic' bikes not 'retro', so it helps to distinguish between old and modern.
