lembro que meu tio jogava este jogo com amigos na sala quando eu era criança. Lembrava só da fase das montanhas e do grito que o personagem dava quando caia no precipicio. Me impressionei de ver como ele é tão simples.
Incarnation is one of the most under appreciated games of all time. It inspired later games that we all consider absolute treasures, like Halo, Diablo, and Mario Kart 64.
I'm surprised to see people trashing this game. I didn't even know about this game until yesterday. Grew up playing all three donkey kong games along with super Mario world and I wish I would've knew about this game back then because I would've played it constantly.
Yes, you're right. This game don't have great music, and have repetitive bosses, but it's fine and looks very well. Certainly, this ain't the best game plattform on SNES, but not bad. Sorry, my english is bad.
Both, this and Super Cauldron were developed by Titus, and I wonder if there was is a connection between those two games. Some levels even look strikingly similar, like the snowy city near the end. Could Incantation have started as either a port or a sequel to Super Cauldron?
@blue red maybe that was a part of it, but judging by the rest of the game it's also possible the team was underpaid, and didn't care about how the game turned out
I remember when I had the tape of this it was exceptionally amazing incredible for me but i thought the levels a little hard to get through even he second on the rain when you need to go jumping along the way taking care of youself for not falling down, but the bosses seemed to be same and just the colors of them changed.
@@amandadelfrate2662 it sure looks like it. I hope Evercade fixes it somehow. Its a cartridge based console, not sure how they go around about fixing it. May be a new cartridge?
If you hold B (the button that makes him bash the floor) he runs then when you jump he jumps further. Just playing it in evercade too. Loving the game but it seems to get a bad rap
It’s a shame because it does look nice at times. Could have been badass like sparkster, nightmare busters, do re mi fantasy or ardy light foot. If we are talking about underrated platformers, Try Plok!
Emil Karlegrund I hope so. I found it at my local game store. it's a rental but looks amazing. they want alot for it but I still think it's under priced at $130. I can't find anything comparable in price and condition.
Underpriced at $130? Are you insane, that's too expensive for a game like this. That kind of thinking is why retro gameprices are at insane levels today.
XrAVENxp - good job! You're actually pretty good at this gameplay (unlike some of the other scrubs who upload vids not to be mean xD... okay let's be fully mean! they suck!)
Kind of sad that this game turned out quite average. There was quite a bit of potential for a fun platformer starring a warlock. It's usually just witches, the female equivalent, that get starring roles as heroic(Cotton anyone?), so a game where you play as a warlock would've been a good addition, but alas, the final product is just Super Cauldron, but without the good music it had on the Amiga & overall blander. And Super Cauldron was already quite a mediocre game!
Wow, this is one of the blandest and most vanilla platformers I've ever seen. The graphics are decent, but the music and gameplay are enough to put someone to sleep. There's just something very generic about this game. You can tell they weren't trying very hard.
Graphically it doesn't look like a SNES game I mean if you compare it with previous plateform games, the design is shoddy, the enemies are drew haphazardly, the boss of the first level 2:21 is awful, in the opening the boy has blonde hair but during the game his hair are brown The ending is old fashioned, "text endings" were current in the late 80's and early 90's (Amiga) I downloaded the rom and it's boring, it's mix of Mr Nutz, Super Mario and Rayman, really I prefer "Whirlo" Nintendo made far better games
Well, you would get your answer on the title screen at the beginning, those little words that say: TITUS You know the creators of Superman 64 and Robocop on the XBOX.
DravenWolfe I wonder why "Nintendo" comissionned this studio twice, they already knew that they were bad at programming and they made worst video games ever O__o Hey wait a minute, I liked playing "Prehistoric Man" (DOS) it was produced by TITUS right? It's the only game which was good though :-/
What a bland game... short, no story, palette swap bosses, underwhelming ending, amateurish music. It's vastly outperformed by e.g. Turrican in every aspect
I love the level consistency in this game, from rocky mountains to cave made of screaming, agonizing souls, followed by jungle area.
One of the strangest games of my childhood... but I still like Titus! Mainly because of Lamborghini and publishing the Evil Zone in the west.
Superman 64

What a Epic ending
Comprei a fita desse jogo num camelô. Eu gostava dele mas achava muito dificil quando era criança, nunca consegui zerar 😢

Why do u say that?
Oh no, I'm sure as hell that I WON'T visit you EVER AGAIN
One of the better Titus games, along with Prehistorik man.
I vaguely remember this. First time thinking about it in probably 20 years haha. Almost has a Bobby's World vibe.
I'm surprised to see people trashing this game. I didn't even know about this game until yesterday. Grew up playing all three donkey kong games along with super Mario world and I wish I would've knew about this game back then because I would've played it constantly.
I mean the music's bland it definitely doesn't seem the be one of the greatest games ever made lol but I definitely would've played it.

I've literally owned an SNES since 1998, how have I never ever have heard of this???!!!

We will never known that, unless someone find people who work on that game and ask them. I find myself interested in knowing those answers :)
I think it was a spiritual successor of Super Cauldron, & they probably forgot about that game's existence.
This has a 'Toki' arcade game feel to it.
Joguei muito minha infância
29:55 Is that it? seriously?
@blue red maybe that was a part of it, but judging by the rest of the game it's also possible the team was underpaid, and didn't care about how the game turned out
19:36 Currently playing the game, and this part is glitched for me. The elevator here isn't spawning.

oh i played this game for 4 years and ive forgotten
Playing this game on Evercade the jump at 19:53 is impossible to complete. Has anyone experienced this problem before?
I'm playing now with an emulator and I have the same problem. I don't know if its a bug, but Its impossible

On stage 5, I dont have the bomb... What can do or how can I go through the platfom?
lol I remember being stuck with the same problem 20 years ago.
The only solution is to stop playing the game.
Thats what I did. I guess Ill have to restart the game, if I ever play it again.
@Wilson Nascimento Yeahhh, you're right! It worked hehe You gotta hold the button until he breaks it. Thanks. Finally I'll finish it. Thanks again.
@Cerlinho Not yet. Right now im playing some other games.
I'm playing in emulator but the roms are whit bug!
My childhood T_T
How do you do the jump at 19:17?
/e nevermind. didn't realize you could sprint with A

Eu tenho esse game.
i love the roof top stage
I rather like the graphics.
Damals Traumspiel zur meiner Zeit 👏

He just looks so bored.
Looks interesting. Is it worth buying?

Since you sound Swedish... I have a book about the SNES in Sweden, where it says that Incantation sold a grand total of 28 copies.
Ancient times! 🧐
Didnt know a was to run. Could've saved all the trouble if the game had a little instruction..

this is tool assisted, anyone can be good at a game, if they can play it frame by frame.

DravenWolfe play ardy lightfoot. Titus published it and its amazing
Wow, ok. You seem like a lot of fun. :p
I like the music here for being relaxing.

Far better is an understatement...
and the bosses doesn't even have themes of their own?!
