- Here's my reaction to what you have been asking for since my first reaction ever to the Storyline. This storyline is honestly so intricate and complicated and I'm thankful that xCeleste put so much dedication towards making it more accessible and more easily understandable, especially the timelines and the order of when what happened. Oh and... this is far from over, don't you think?

In previous update, she had explained the multiple attempts of Saving the boys by Jin
He did it all by himself for multiple timeloops but failed, only after that he realised he has to help them indirectly throu other boys that is the pairing so no he doesn't ask help right from the start
And believe me BU Jin has gone through the worst in this story having to witness his friends dying in front of his eyes so many times, I can't imagine how it must have been.
Happy ending BU Jin when 😭
XCeleste also released one update about the storyline till 2019 where she explained that the girls were actually escapes for the boys and them ignoring their troubles and trying to hide behind their masks. They were their 'fake love' which they chose to pursue and not acknowledge the problems going on in their lives and with their friends.
And there were many things which one wouldn't understand by watching this such as why Yoongi got expelled or why he didn't visit Jk in the hospital and many more-I found you were also confused by those, so to understand that you can read the webtoon, play the game and then read the novels in order to find more details that were not included in this summary which will give you a better idea about the storyline

Yeah, post webtoons release i thought the cat was nice and benevolent. I even wanted to buy the miniature figurines they released related to the BU. But post game release it was looking more and more sinister 🤨
If we should take 1 damn thing from BU is that "COMMUNICATE" Imagine if these 7 guys have actually talked to each other, rather than keeping secrets, 90% of s*** would not have happened.

the cat is a very important part of the Bighit universe. not just the BTS storyline but also TxT(bighit's junior group) storyline. While BU and TU follow different main storylines surrounding the boys in each group it's still interconnected to create one big universe(hybe/bighit universe) where the cat is the main entity that drives it.

The Cat is in the TXT (other group under Big Hit) storyline too🤭😅 ..but their storyline is really different. I hope you will react to them as well, bc they have really good music.
I do trust BH to be able to finish this whole thing in a meaningful way and I do think that the outcome is probably planned. However, the only concern I have for this story is that it was started at a time when the guys were still very much relying on the company to guide them through their careers. By that, I don’t mean that the guys had no say and weren’t contributing, we know they’ve always been extremely involved in their work. But it’s obvious that this whole thing was brought about by the company as a way to incorporate something interesting & obviously meaningful into the guys albums and concept. But I feel that in the last couple of years especially, BTS have become more autonomous with their art and careers. It’s obvious that now they’ve grown into guys who are clearly much more forward and aware of where they want their own career to head and they’re taking ahold of it. The BE album and all the stuff they’ve been talking about recently with regards to their future is evidence of that. Even the fact that MOTS: 7 should in theory be linked to the BU but yet none of the content was marked as official BU content was telling. For me personally, I think that although we’ve seen the MOTS come about in the BU universe, the actual MOTS: persona and 7 albums were more of a real document of a self love journey in the real world from the members perspective. Of course all of the content we’ve had in the past, like Wings for example, has been just as significant and shared messages from their real lives & feelings in the real world, however it was always pretty obvious that there was strong links to the fictional story line along with the content being marked as official BU content. However, with MOTS:7 there was no real links to the storyline without really reaching and none of the content was marked as BU content. For this reason, I believe that the guys themselves have decided that they’d rather take their music and art in a direction that allows them to express themselves as who they are rather than it all being linked to a fictional storyline. Maybe the map of the soul albums were a way for them to transition to that. Keeping the meaning and concept of the self love journey going, but transitioning out of the storyline being so heavily involved in their music and MVs. Maybe they will choose to finish the story line in their music, maybe they won’t. But with the way they seem to be taking ahold of their own careers much more significantly, I’m leaning towards not. I think from now on the storyline will be continued/concluded through things like the books/notes/webtoon/games/the drama that’s being filmed etc. Maybe I’m wrong, we’ll see. But this is all just a feeling I get from observing the direction of their content in the past couple of years.
P.S. there was what could be considered strong or obvious ties to the storyline in the Film Out MV. However, again it was NOT marked as official BU content so we can’t say it is officially. If I were to link it somehow, I’d say it’s a similar sort of thing to what I said about the MOTS albums. Maybe it’s not directly linked, but maybe is a way of them continuing the the MOTS self love journey/concept but transitioning it smoothly from the story line to the real world.
Also by saying this, I’m not bashing or discrediting anyone, anything or the decisions that have been made. All I’m saying is that from what they guys have said, and from what’s been observed with regards to their music and MVs, it just seems like they’re trying to move away from being obligated to stick to a strong storyline that might box them in and affect their ability to make something they might want to in the future. Albums take a longggg time and a lot of energy to make. Continuing the story line heavily could really take away from the time they could use to create the art they want to which seems to be very important to them as observed in the behind interviews they did after the release of BE.

I tend to agree with this. I think too the pandemic sent the BTS team in an entirely different direction. They said in interviews that dynamite and BE would not have happened if there was no pandemic. They would’ve been busy with the tour...who knows what kind of content we could’ve had if they went on their tour. But with the pandemic I believe BTS decided to try to capture the US market and the result was dynamite...then they wanted to release their most personal album and we got BE.
I do think they might continue to create videos that have similar themes that can be used as a bridge to BU just like Film Out but I think at this point the best course of action is to have a conclusion through the drama. I really wonder what theme would be explored with the JK storyline...probably trust and friendship?
@@marissamcwhiter9381 honestly rereading what I wrote and what you wrote, I think they may continue to make MVs that could be loosely related to the storyline, similar to film out like you say. But I don’t think there’ll ever be that solid definitive connection again. Many people were trying to find links in the ON music video and stuff, but I don’t think there’s anything concrete, and for me at least, I didn’t feel they were playing their BU characters in any content we’ve gotten from Persona onwards. Sure there’s definitely certain aspects of videos and songs that could be linked like the MV of film out, but it doesn’t feel like it’s done to the point where that’s it’s only purpose. It feels more like a continuation of their MOTS concept from their real life thought processes and ideology, but with a video that can subtly hint towards a direction for the BU storyline. Maybe that’s just being done so that when the drama and any books, notes or webtoons etc come out in the future, it all feels cohesive.
Also, I could be wrong about this, but I’ve never really seen or heard the members actually talk about being that invested in the storyline or their characters much at all. The most I’ve really heard is Jimin saying that he was super into the “youth” concept they had during hyyh in their recent Festa talk. However, even then there wasn’t really mention of the actual characters or storyline from him. All that leads me to believe that maybe it’s always been mostly BH that have handled the storyline side of things, whilst all BTS did was film the MVs as directed and wrote/produced their music just as they always have. Idk there just never seemed to be that much of a strong connection to the storyline with the members themselves. Like when they talk about run or I need u, they’ve never talked about their ‘characters’ or anything, just about the songs message. I could be wrong about this, they could’ve talked about it a lot and I’ve just somehow missed it over the years, but it’s just what I’ve seen.
I just think at this point, BTS are artists with a strong sense of direction both individually and together as a group. They know what they want and they’re capable of producing it all and making it happen for themselves, and I think it’s more than clear that they want to keep going in that direction. That’s probably why there’s so much outside content for the storyline plus a drama being filmed. They’re having to make up for the fact that the storyline just isn’t the direction BTS might wanna go with their art.
@@tangerineville yes I agree with you...I don’t think the guys were that involved with the whole BU except for creating the MVs. I’m not sure if they would actually know the whole storyline. Lol...they are more involved with BT21...lol. But if they do have the drama, could see another video that might get connected to the drama just like film out if BH finds it necessary to do so. But at this point I’m just excited for the next comeback and if we will get a full album!

I also watched the explained before reading the webtoon, as I didn't know it existed. Doing it this way doesn't make the webtoon (or the notes novels) any less enjoyable. Can't wait for this reaction
i did it the same way as well. also im the one who suggested her to do it like this because if you watch this first, you can still enjoy webtoon and notes a lot because it gives you way more details but if you do it the other way, you would already know most things mentioned in the video and wont enjoy this as much.

I honestly don’t believe anyone has been able to fully comprehend this entire story yet as even XCeleste still has several questions and theoretical posits and that girl has seriously done her homework on this lol! I sincerely hope they continue this story and eventually provide us with a positive resolution. I’m thinking they will continue it though as although the Film out mv was not an official BU storyline video, it did elude to many of the BU components which I personally took as a sign the BU storyline is still progressing toward a conclusion. Wonderful reaction,, very much like my own when I watched this as like you, I had so many “aha” moments as well as questions. Thank you for taking the time to genuinely analyze the entire BU thoroughly and thoughtfully!

I feel like the continuation of this storyline was 'Film Out' MV.. Because theres JK like noticing JIN holding hour glass and JK starting staring at the hour glass infront of him.. And he began to disappear.. But im not sure of that..thats only my opinion..just like you im still confused of their storyline
Yes, also in "Film out" Jin opens the door and sees the doors of the other time loops in which he traveled ... ALSO at the end taehyung can see Seokjin from the other side of the room (It could be connected with his ability to see the past and future in dreams ????)

Fuc I thought it would be simple. But this is all deep.
It definitely is a part of the storyline, with Jungkooks entry it seems like he’s also either had loops or remembers them (something is up with this for sure) . So when jin runs out of time with the hour glass, Jungkook seems to notice and be aware, Jin then opening the door to all the timelines, and then we also have V who also has a part of some ability....
I think the reason many are confused is because the story isn’t done, like it’s still being told so some aren’t getting it but I think the best thing is to wait until we have more information to place together :)

Ohmilord i quite enjoyed all the freaking out in this reaction! That was 100% me when i first started watching each version of these summaries. But i have to say that i think you got it much worse because at least for me since on started becoming army, I’ve had gone through 3 updates to this so i had a step by step journey to absorb each phase of the insanity that is the Bangtan Universe 😆

I guess who came up with this storyline omg it's so much brain power... If we cannot follow up understanding it then just imagine making it in the first place it must be such a difficult process to plan everything I really respect these people who came up with this and planned it they're just so intelligent man!!
That is why Jin is the ultimate smart guy in the group, even in real life. He is always the winner in puzzle solving games in Run BTS, lol

Hehe the storyline is extremely overwhelming! The way I processed it is by thinking about it in seasons, like a regular tv series, the youth trilogy was season 1, the love yourself trilogy was season 2, and map of the soul is season 3.
Looking forward to a lot of uh, ah, hmm and so on 🤣 no for real can’t believe we’re here. Liked watching your BU journey and can’t wait to watch this one

Thanks for the LONG reaction Hanna. Really enjoyed watching the summary with you again. It's really confusing but if you actually read the webtoon and play the game, you can kinda see the overall direction of their story a little bit. Sometimes, I can't believe that BTS has such amazing music, they can perform so well AND they have such a wonderful and complicated storyline. I mean we didn't even need this storyline to stan them but we got it anyway and it's so good.
Celeste is amazing for taking the time to put all this together and she took mercy on us by cutting out most of the instances where Jin fails at saving the boys.
If she went into all the details that video would’ve been at least 2 hours long 😂😂 just wanted to point that out bc you said Jin had no idea if some of his strategies would work. In a sense everything he did was trial and error and he usually failed multiple times before getting it right. And every time he failed, no matter how far he progressed, he get sent back to April 11, year 22
(For example, with JK saving Yoongi. Jin tried 3 separate times to save Yoongi by himself which all led to Jin’s failure to save Yoongi. It wasn’t until he had the epiphany that he had to get the other boys involved-pay attention to them and recognize their pairings from the wings era-to get them to save each other.)

Sorry, but i can’t share much theories because Honestly, I’ve long given up trying to decipher and make my own theories about the BU. Im now just here happily contact to let myself be dragged along as the story unfolds. I love it all in the hands of our talented theorist armys 😉
I think the storyline's just gonna get better and better now that Big Hit is such a huge company with crazy resources. Oh, I can't wait for more storyline stuff, the game already gave us a lot.

Have you ever watched a kdrama? Lol...or even any long running soap operas? they like to overlap storyline so as one ends another is just beginning so you can keep the audiences attention. I think this is why they introduced JKs storyline so they can have the option to continue this story or not. I do hope they continue it but now it seems that the emphasis will be on JK. Not sure if Filmout video actually has anything to do with it...but there we see the hour glass turning around and the visual of Jin opening the door to this vista of all the different doors around him, probably the way to the different dimensions created but his time travelling. I think this is a hint that they might continue this story.
I think the reason why there were different memories for the night of the accident is that different timelines that were created for each loop, was getting mixed up...probably because of the effect of Jin’s memory getting erased, so the Jin in the present loop is remembering things from other loops. I think this might be some defence mechanism for him so that he won’t actually realize that it was him that hit JK. I suppose his mind might be shielding him from such a painful realization. The creation of this story was so intricate that it might be difficult to continue. But I hear that there is a drama being created based on the BU...this might be the way they finally address what happened to JK! It was great going through the BU with you, but I have to admit I gave up pretty early and decided to watch this video a few weeks ago! It was fun watching you trying to figure this out. now we are all on the same page with regards to this story...looking forward to the final conclusion...
1) xCeleste also did a theory about the storyline and Film Out. It's worth checking out, because it seems to fit in there somewhere, lol.
2) You asked where this is going - supposedly there's going to be a Kdrama depicting the boys youth (played by actors though, not the boys themselves, since they are to be much younger - maybe we'll get some answers on Jimin and Choi, J-Hope's and Suga's mothers, etc.). There's also some info about a planned animation and a 3D movie (don't know whether animated, with actors or the boys themselves though).
3) The storyline is a lot, I honestly cried when I watched the explanation for the first time. It's heavy and heartbreaking, and I feel like JK's "cat deal" will be the starting point of another strand of this story, probably filled with much more misery, since the cat asked whether he wanted to live, despite that life being filled with misery. So... I'm starting to collect tissues now.

What's more amazing is that- the timeline (May 22 year 22) where Jin *confessed about him snitching on them at highschool* and *Taehyung getting angry* because he feels that Jin is *not telling the whole story.* So Jin *goes back in time again* (he's offended and hurt and just wants to end everything nicely) but this time *he leaves early so the whole confessing thing didn't happen* and they (Tae and Jin) *didn't fight.*
Now as Celeste mentioned, their life continued and basically reflected on themselves to become better people. Everything is tying up together and the whole map of the soul thing came on... then there's Jungkook.
*Instead of* the first timeline where *Taehyung* is the one who's *angry at Jin for keeping something,* it's now *Junkook* because of the butterfly effect. Remind you that *Jin left before he and Tae fought* (May 22 year 22) so *now at August 30 year 22- it's Jungkook who feels betrayed and angry at Jin for hiding something* (which he believes that Jin hit him with a car.)
The whole plot is genius and quite complex to wrap your head into while the music are great to listen in it's own without knowing the BU. But knowing the storyline of course just makes everything better, like J-hopes' solo song *Just Dance* is already amazing and THEN finding out in the BU that it's J-hope dance class where Jimin joined- *mind-blowned*
And the lyrics of Awake by Jin "I held the six flowers close into my heart" means much more than "it" just being about the members, because, that song is the part where he's losing himself and just wants to run away but the "six flowers" gives him a reason to hold on much longer even if he's struggling and afraid. Because the six flowers are worth going back in time for and everything would go to waste if he gives up now after all the suffering he witnessed and experienced.
(My best friend is my *lifeline* so seeing Jin going through sorts of measures to save them- I understand and I relate to Awake in a *soulful* level.)
BTS and BigHit is just a legendary combo that the universe made. Huge respect to everyone.

the BU Universe is a fantasy, but many people are living this reality around the world, broken families and lost children, no one likes to suffer, but not the perspective for these people, the way they represent this reality and the uncertainty of the future is incredible, aside from the time travel part, the plot even it would be a story that could be happening to someone you know and don't know about it, no one talks about their traumas, because most of us try to hide them and deal with them to be accepted in society or group, at BU the boys have each other and among them, there are those closer than the others and also the excluded, this story and the way it was conceived still surprises and fascinates me.
Hi, I am back. Nice reaction. ty. Oh my god. I have watched more than 10 Ads just to see this. Cries in misery. Sometimes I hate YT. Cries some more. This storyline is a doozy agree. For a long time I had a headache and could not get into it. Rosan/xCeleste helped me understand some of the theory and I don't have headaches anymore. I can more or less follow along with her theory. =0) Fascinating story. It's sad and beautiful at the same time. I think it deals with so much trauma because in Korea many deal with this truth. Many have broken homes and deal with mental health. I watched an anime last year or maybe in 2019 that had this roller coaster storyline too. And lots of mental health issues. They are trying to connect and talk about important issues and share their wisdom with us. Anyway, those are my thoughts. Ty again for this reaction. BTS storyline made me proud of BTS and being an Army. This is super genius and how its related to their songs, music video and albums title. Simple amazing. I only understood it because of Save Me webtoon and i kept on crying seeing Jin go through the same pain of seeing the boys died and frustrations in an attempt to save each of them

Mi teoría es que el gato se ha presentado antes incluso podría decir que se le presento al grupo de amigos del padre de Jin, por eso en la sala de práctica dice que todo comenzó allí tal vez por la desaparición del amigo, etc. Ese gato para mi se le ha presentado a varios de los chicos comenzando por Tae con el cual firmo un trato diferente, pero ya no recuerda y solo tiene sueños de eso, por eso al final de Film Out Tae se queda solo en la habitación mirando como desaparece Jin.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but there are 2 voices (in the webtoon the voices are in 2 colours, I think the notes mentioned that it was another voice) when Jin made the deal at the beginning, I think 1 was maybe the voice who helped him remember the time loop, and 1 was the cat, idk who has the time power tho, maybe both?
I think one is kind (the one who help him remember the loop), so it gave Jin the power to help the boys, and the other (the cat) is evil/planning something, not sure what it wants from this tho, maybe it feeds off negative energy?
I haven't got into the txt universe, so maybe there are some things there relating to the BU, the cat seems to appear a lot more there lol
So to remind you she’s making this video missing out a lot of info that isn’t the main plot line (like with the kid) because it would take forever to explain it all with all the small details. So she’s just going over the main and most important parts:) this is why some things seem to come out of nowhere, in reality in the books and webtoon & game those things are more so explained.
It’s really amazing because since this video there are even more things coming out, like take the film out music vid you see the time run out with Jin and you see Jungkook notice it as well. It’s so crazy and it’s more so insane and amazing since it MAKES SENSE. Lowkey if you think about it, it makes sense.

The unknown date for Jungkook is why many think that Film Out is also connected to the storyline since in the mv Jin is looking at them all through the window/mirror and Taehyung seems to know there's something behind it. What's interesting is that Jungkook starts off in an empty room, just like Jin, AND that they both have an hour glass. Also when JK's hour glass runs out he looks at Jin, his room explodes, and as if it's a chain reaktion so does Jin's. But whether it's connected or not is yet to be seen since it hasn't officially been classified as BU. Other bits were however not classified BU from the start, so we'll see... What's very clear is that it's definitely not finished yet.
My personal fear is that it will conclude with the groups final album before they disband as their album titles seem to be leading up to it with the Love Yourself trilogy, Wings and now Map Of The Soul 7. 😢

even though I watched this so many times now, I still do not understand it 😅.. it is really complicated and I am not sure where it is going..
But I really want this story to have a clear (happy or sad, I do not mind) ending.
the videos of them you kept asking where they are from are from the 10min trailer video for the game, it had some clips of them and some clips of their animation including the ones of the container burning, jin with the polaroids and the cat
please also react to the other XCeleste videos. the first version of the "Storyline Summary" contains more things that are not here, you get confused a lot in vain when she has more videos. This new update ver is very packed and lineral... Hmm when you go with story in past and with her explenations in her past videos that she was doing, there is more details and more history bc there wasn't so much info to put. Like there are info about what was in wich time line and why girls so suden show from some were and more about this small kid that Jimin saw and about smeraldo flowers. She have a lot of videos that are connected to story line and I think I understand beter all this bc a watched all videos that she talk about story that she put out. Bc in this one she couldn't really put to much details bc she wanted to talk about everything a little and time of video was long. Videos like 'Fake love' explenation or 'Epiphany' or 'Euphoria' or recently one 'Film out' explenation all this videos give more coherend story bc there she is talking about details. So if you are interested you can watch this old videos to MV and clips that she did on your own, bc they give even more inside look, but remember when she was making them she didn't know thinks she know now so there are teories that later could be a miss or would be much deeper.
The story is great but really take your time and make your brain to work on full.

40:04 The fire that k¡lls Namjoon in this timeline happens in September 30 year 22 because some goons wanted to kick everyone out of the container neighborhood and the redevelopment plans were already established , at the same time, Seokjin was trying to save the girl so that's why Namjoon's de@th happened because the butterfly effect, maybe someone needs to d¡e in that timeline anyways I guess(?; thus Seokjin chose to save the girl by giving back her diary and apologizing, so they never get to pass all that time together up to September 30 year 22 .
All the stuff of them finding out the redevelopment plans before they are established occurs, I think, since the girl and Seokjin love story never happened, the other timeline ark(? takes its place instead. Seokjin changed the events, the future.
To sump up, the cat offers Seokjin the deal because he couldn't save Namjoon which means he couldn't get pass September 30 year 22 . After agreeing the deal he goes back in time, he doesn't get involve with the girl and the redevelopment ark takes place instead( of the love story) alongside the search for the map of the soul. In that specific timeline, when they reach august 25 year 22 the fire in Namjoon's container house still happens however, because of the butterfly effect, the date changed I guess and the reason behind it this time is uncle JungHo starting the fire because the redevelopment plans were cancelled .

this is what makes sense to me of course, it's so hard to understand it all but is so fascinating as well. I'm so excited for the drama version of this whole story!! Also, It seems like Jungkook is going to make a deal with the damn cat as well, and potentially starts a new time loop all over again if what happens in the Film Out MV is related somehow to the storyline.

Alright. So my theory, from reading other theories, is that, the price that the cat took was not just headaches and a never-ending search for the map of the soul, but also taking away of the person's humanity. Hence why Jin's father is a jerk and now Jin is becoming one too. We have now reached a point where we are wondering whether the cat is actually someone who helps or is a villain who takes advantage of ppl who are helpless and under pressure.
This is especially seen in the TXT universe now, where the same cat is actually making them demons and hurting them (as far as I know; I don't know the TXT universe thoroughly yet). So we assume the cat is bad and my theory is that the good magical being that helps them is the female apparition that appears in TXT videos. Idk. It's crazy.
Also, another theory, we assume that JK made a deal with the cat to survive that accident and so now he is going down a hole, whether it be another time loop (which is prolly not the case) or maybe losing something, like trust or love he has for his 7 friends? Ya, when one thing ends another arrives. Alright. Imma stop
