    Ty for saying it can take longer then 6 months. I"m a 43 year old male and on trt for over 17 years. for over 14 years i always took 50mg of zinc and felt amazing everyday until i saw a lot of videos claiming with all this zinc i get copper deficiency so i got scared, dropped the zind and started supplementing chelated copper 2.5mg.. Within 6 weeks i'm was just a shade of the men i was, my trt didn't work anymore, i lost all muscle and feel like absolute shit. physical and mentally, my libido is non existent and i have every symptom you can think of. Hair analysis showed way too much copper. I'm on zinc etc now but 6 months has passed and i still feel like shit, only really minor improvements but that's better then none ofcourse. You give me hope saying it can take longer. I really had no idea this stuff is so powerfull in destroying someone's health.

      You're welcome! I'm glad it was helpful. And I'm glad you did a hair test. It can take a while to deal with copper toxicity but it will be faster if you're balancing minerals and taking a binder to help deal with copper.

      The most common sources are drinking water from copper pipes, swimming in chlorinated pools often and taking birth control (for women)

    7:24 Does the zinc to copper ratio matter for foods (ie. To neutralize the copper)? Oysters have almost a 1:1 ratio of copper to zinc per Cronometer (oyster, pacific, raw)

    • @thesleepdetective
      @thesleepdetective  2 місяці тому +1

      Individual foods don’t matter as much as the balance you’re getting from all foods combined😊

      @@thesleepdetective Martha do you know what the ideal zinc to copper ratio in the diet is supposed to be?

    • @thesleepdetective
      @thesleepdetective  2 місяці тому +1

      I don’t. But if you aren’t getting excess copper then you’re probably fine with what you’re eating. Being deficient in copper isn’t good either. The best way to tell your ratio is with a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

    Hello. I had copper IUD for 4 years. At the end I began to have trouble sleeping. Since the removal I have big insomnia (copper dumping?) do you have some advice ? How to proove it ? It’s so hard :(

    • @thesleepdetective
      @thesleepdetective  Рік тому +1

      I use the Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis for determining copper toxicity. You want to rebalance minerals first and use binders to remove copper safely from the body. I can't give specific recommendations on UA-cam, sorry!

    • @marymorris8442
      @marymorris8442 Рік тому

      After removing it, you have worse sleeping problems? Maybe it is not a copper toxicity. i hope you are better than when you posted this comment. Praying for you Adam Irina.

      Hi. Yes my sleep got better step by step after removal (except when I had terrible copper dumping meaning copper is released in blood system). So it was the cause 🙏thanks

      Yes, I don't recommend forcing detox of copper or heavy metals. Definitely take minerals, but you want to know which minerals you need with the Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis.

    If my blood test shows copper to zinc ration high (copper 102, zinc 78). Does this mean I have too much copper? I have severe insomnia, muscle ache, poor memory. Or would I need hair minerals test to really know my copper/zinc numbers?
    Also, I tried booking a consultation/meeting with you but it shows “no available times”. Are you fully booked or is it just a glitch in the system?
    Thank you!

    • @thesleepdetective

      Minerals are interpreted in the blood and hair differently so I do recommend the hair test to know your copper/zinc ratio. It looks like you signed up for the Insomnia Insight program which is great!

    Hey. Im wondering if you have ever experienced with some of your clients a lot of dizziness/vertigo with copper toxicity. I have been dealing with a lot of anxiety issues for years to the point that i couldnt even work because the anxiety was so bad and also a lot of anger issues. Since 2019 i started to develop a lot of dizziness/vertigo. Since then the anxiety gladly has gotten a lot better but the dizziness seems to be persistent. It feels like my body is unbalanced when standing and walking to. Do you know if this could be due to the copper toxicity? I also have sleep issues.

    • @thesleepdetective
      @thesleepdetective  7 місяців тому +1

      It depends. Some people are deficient and need more copper. Others have too much copper. The only way to know is to test!
