I think you might have guessed that I would say this, but the two characters I would most like to spend a rainy day with would be Shigekuni Honda from The Sea of Fertility Tetralogy and Kiyoaki Matsugae from Spring Snow. Though I think poor Kiyoaki would feel a bit cooped up, Honda and I could have a great time together. Great video, as always.
That’s cool that you are from the UK! I have always wanted to visit. It’s been very rainy here in Canada, but I wager that it won’t last long. Soon the wild-fires will be starting up 🙁 And you are right, it’s always lovely to read a book on a rainy day!
@@joshuacreboreads I love living in the UK. We have our problems (don't we all...) and the weather can be awful but there is so much history, heritage and things to see and do. I have a few relatives in Canada but I've never been.
Frost, Yeats, Eliot… all good.
Great video! I really enjoy your poetry readings. Frost is another poet I should pick up.
Thank you again! I’m very glad you enjoyed my readings. Frost is a delightful poet. ❄️
I enjoyed watching your video, Joshua. Terrific book selections, and as always, I enjoyed your poetry readings interspersed throughout!
Thanks, Pat! And thanks also for tagging me.
@@joshuacreboreads my pleasure!

Yes, Honda seems like he would be much more likeable in person than Kiyoaki. I wouldn’t want to go near Kiyoaki! He’s a train wreck.
Thank you!
Some great choices and books chosen. Happy reading to you.
Thank you! Happy reading to you too 😁
Great answers! You have a beautiful collection ❤️
Ah, thank you for saying so. ❤️📚
Thoughtful answers and a great opportunity for reading some poems! We get a lot of rainy days here in the UK but it is very atmospheric for reading.

I think that’s what makes me want to visit - the history and culture! And the fact that I love the rain, but don’t get enough of it here.
