Hello, greetings from Chile, in South America. I love what you show of Masaka. I hope to be able to travel in a couple more months and get to know much more about your country and culture. It would be really nice if we could make a video together when I get there. Greetings.
A everybody is not supposed to leave in the city. Cities are supposed to be occupied by business people and professionals and not people who did not go to college. If you young and did not go to college you need to go to the village and work on a farm until you can make it. Ugandan leader should have already implemented these laws to protect the beauty of cities in order to attract investors and in turn investor will create jobs for the locals. I left masaka in 1979, but masaka looked away better back then than today. It is a shame that the Uganda government has done nothing but to enrich themselves by talking the countries resources. Look at how beautiful Kigali looks. Don't Uganda leaders feel a shamed of themselves that Kagame was a refugee in Uganda but he went back to his country after one of the worst genocide, with the entire Kigali down in rubble and debris. But now it as beautiful as some of the cities in America, Europe or Asia. Also, now Kigali is ranked number one cleanest city in the whole world. If you look at the developed in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam, they are 100 years head of Kampala. Imagine Kampala is the capital city of Uganda the pearl of Africa. But it is full pot holes and old dilapidated buildings. Motorcycles are running around like mice. Y'all need to cry for changing the Presidential term limit to two. Four or five years a term and no more than two terms. That's when you will see real development happen in Uganda. Vote for people who have not lived in Uganda for a long time because they are not corrupted yet. And don't vote for military leaders, because they only know military issues. Any president should have have atleast a four year degree and some leadership experience.
The city mayor is no longer Godfrey Kayemba otherwise i was anxiously waiting to see the new main market but as u approached it i guess its where clipped as u edited the vlog
But to be Honest this are not cities this are TOWNS there's a difference Between A CITY AND A TOWN, reasons why, very small area and Many facilities still missing, for instance NO standard public Transport in place and even Kampala itself is not worth to be called A city as it's small, No plan No public transport, many basic things not yet in place, That way those are not yet CITIES, You are in denial.
I totally agree with you. It is a shame that the Uganda government has just eaten all the money and not develop any city in Uganda. I left Kampala in 1993 and uptown now there is new building. The roads are full pot holes. The street are congested with motorcycles. It seems there are no laws at all. I guess leaders just accept bribes and let anything slide. That's what happens when you one president for 35 years.
Keep it up Dear
Thank you dear
Home sweet home ☀️👍

I think leaders just wanted to benefit. Most of the new cities are still lacking. But let's hope they will get better soon
