I was fortunate to see this show with Linda Eder who originated the role, and didn't think anyone could sing a better version than her. Until now. Wow. Thank you for covering this, it's one of my favorite Broadway shows of all time.

Its her art of phasing the lyrics makes it nicer to listen her music specially there is a very talented arranger that support her songs. She is also a product of her own experience in singing. Gigi is also a very gifted singer but she too needs some growing in her singing.
Tbh I doubt Gigi will ever come close to Morissette's level of sheer voice talent. Not because Gigi isn't good (she is), but because Morissette is just on a whole other level. She has one of the most spectacular voices I've ever heard, from any time period, any country. imo they have both have exceptional stage presence and charisma while they perform, though, so they're very similar in that regard.

Hi from Seattle, Washington USA. Thank you, Morissette, for this beautiful song. I think your voice is suited for Broadway. You have the most beautiful voice. I could listen to this song over and over again but of course with you singing it.
I recently saw her termed as a Rara Avis. It's a A Latin phrase meaning rare bird, used to mean an unusual thing or person. Or "an unusual, uncommon, or exceptional person or thing" If you combine that with her "Asias Phoenix" title it fits like a glove right!
The vocals are so committed, and soaring with these delicate edges. Most importantly for me she hits that emotional sweet spot! I believe every word she utteres here!

I'm 1000% certain that her voice is Broadway worthy! My one and only concern would be this...not that many people are able, financially, to attend Broadway shows. Other than those pre-Broadway celebrities (those who have already made a name for themselves on the big screen and then chose to do Broadway), I'm afraid she would not get the attention she deserves to become known across the world. I'm not saying there is anything wrong if she chose MT. I just wouldn't want her confined to that while she's so young and has such a tremendous future waiting for her. Someone in the music industry needs to sit up and take notice of this young incredible talent and make her voice heard EVERYWHERE!!! It bewilders me why that has, of yet, not happened!! She is better than any American artist and OHHH how I wish that we (Americans) could simply turn on our car radios and know we'd readily hear our stations playing her songs!!!

Always loved your insightful comments on her performance and wishes Mori would take time to read these comments from her admirers all over the world. There's a lot of good career advice that she can take note of from good and knowledgeable people who only want nothing but the best for her. I feel some people managing her career aren't doing enough to advance her brand more widely. Although she hasn't stopped performing and pouring content after content into her yt and social media accounts, I'm kinda worried her career seems at a standstill at the moment. One thing she needs to do asap is, get away from the clutches of ABS-CBN.

Omg, will I ever be able to hear her sing something and not shed a tear/s? I really appreciated Mori's efforts to lighten the mood with her stories in between songs, and she just have this uplifting personality, but the songs from this Stages session are heavy and emotional numbers sung by arguably the best in conveying exactly what these songs evoke. Oh Mori, you're the balm the world never knew it needed.
We need to launch her to the world stage NOW. The whole world needs to hear her. The world doesn't know what they are missing.

There are a lot of celebrities in our country that are not as talented as she (MORISSETTE) is but are more famous because of the "nasty business", I call it.
