It`s amazing how Ferrer always manages to turn defense into attack, by far most difficult player to get past on clay after Nadal. And nobody would want to face him in the seniors level tennis :)
Haas used to be my fav player. Shame injuries curtailed his career. He has such an attractive game....I also think I liked him going back due to his racquet choice/s. Funny reason I know. 😂 Actually, I've liked all of these players, Lopez the least of the 4. Nobody worked harder to get the most from their game than Ferrer, such an awesome competitor. And shame Robredo tries to remain on tour....former top 10 and barely winning any challenger/itf matches. Oh well...if he loves it why not. And btw....what happened to Almagro? Another player I loved watching. He got cut down by injuries past number of years, but I've not heard anything. And he's a good few years younger than this lot of retirees!!. Guess I can search online, not thought about it till just now thinking of such great top 10 Spanish players ( Obviously Tommy H isn't 🇪🇸). Ferrer clearly good enough to remain on tour (if he wanted). His final matches and tributes through the year were a fitting way to end a stellar career. He was arguably the next best after the fab 4. Awesome video Jonas, thank you for brining this to us. 😎
Yes, Haas has a nice style (and racquet)! Robredo won a Challenger recently if I am not mistaken. So he still plays really high-level tennis. Almagro retired due to all the injuries. Ferrer is such a fighter! Muy impressivo! Thanks for the comment.
@@Tennisnerd Thanks Jonas....keep up the great work mate. :) Now here's a thought.....are you coming to Australia for the summer season? Yes I know it's a huge trip coming from Europe. As far as Grand Slam's go, judging by the crowds, Aussie Open must be #1 or perhaps #2 if Wimbledon is 1. I really noticed this year how the French had half-full stadium (especially during the day and US similar in the early rounds for sure. I can't quite recall Wimbledon, but it has always seemed well supported. Seems the players always rate the Aussie Open....the facilities are the best in the world, especially given the centre is just outside the heart of the city centre and everything is so accessible. Warm regards!
thanks for the video. I don't suppose they're still allowing you to record these kinds of matches. I really prefer seeing the angle closer to courtside. Even w these "senior" players, you can really appreciate spin and atheleticism much more.
That generation was so amazing to watcu. It did slightly have a bit topheavy of Federer and Nadal always winning but the players had amazing styles and were a good watch
I had a press pass that gave me a good seat and I recorded using this setup: tennisnerd.net/tennis-tools/my-recording-setup/14717 It is not expensive but does a good job!
Ferrer is not the most talented but it's very hard to match his intensity. Also tactically very smart and knows how to neutralise the opponent, no matter how talented.
I mean I liked Haas, but Ferrer was and still is the better player, Haas couldn't reach full potential that often due to his injuries, but even when he played good and consistent like in 2013 Ferrer beat him...
This is basically just a high quality atp match. If I didn’t know ferrer retired I wouldn’t have even realized it was a senior match
what a priceless footage ... and what a match up from this senior masters cup, more joyful than many from atp in these times ...
One of the best court level video I've ever seen
Thanks a lot!
same here, amazing tennis video
same to me, awesome video
Excellent footage with lots of interesting comments. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Appreciate the comment.
Thank you for the 720p60 and 1080p60. Now we can see better speed of pro ball speed. 👍
That’s hurt to see ferrer playing in seiniors at 37 😂😂😂
Roger is older 😂
👏👏👏👏👏👏
looks like tommy robredo
It is Tommy Robredo :=)
Amateurs should learn with this type of videos and not Federer/Nadal ones

Thiem?
Yeah Ferrer grinds down his opponents very well, so of course no seniors want to play him, playing him will take a massive toll on their bodies lol.
What’s is the requirement to qualify for the senior tour? Lopez still plays on the regular atp tour, and he’s ranked in the top 100 as well
ItzaHyperMeme Its a friendly two days tournament of Ferrer retirement
So nice to see Ferrer back! A personal hero of mine. Robredo and Haas look in fine shape as well!

Played at 80% of ATP effort? And lovely to see three of the best single-handed backhands in the past decade in Lopez, Robredo and Haas - silky smooth.
Yeah, something like that!
@@franqueworren7323 I can agree with you on Lopez. Robredo has a great one hander along with Haas.

Ferrer doing a willy? I think never saw that in a professional match from him😂
That generation was so amazing to watcu. It did slightly have a bit topheavy of Federer and Nadal always winning but the players had amazing styles and were a good watch
Wow!! Now robredo switches to a Wilson .. shaking my head :)
Best parts: three amazing one-handed backhands. Ferrer's Footwork. Amazing camera perspective. Thanks!
So nice to see Feliciano play. He really enjoys his time on court and is a good refresh from the baseliner takover we live in nowadays
Feli's style is just brilliant.
omg this angle is amazing thanks
Thanks!
I bet he can still beat the next gen players consistently
For sure!
Wow I need to go to Puente Romano I live in Madrid
You do! It is nice.
Beautiful video!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Good!!
How did you take this video?

@@Tennisnerd Thank you!
I watched Federer in the Uniqlo event. It was exciting too!
Eeeeeh....
Thanks for the upload. Great to see these guys in such good shape, playing amazing tennis 🙏
Thanks for uploading this! Great!
buena narración escrita
Muchas gracias!
Why isnt Ferrer still pro with all that energy he still has!!!???
Probably got tired of the traveling etc now that he has a kid...
nice viewing angle.
Thanks!
Wonderful
Great video! Will you be doing a review on the pure strike 16x19?
Yes, at some point! It is on my list.
me gusta mucho el estilo de Feli, su tennis es muy fino, elegante. Me inspira a jugar así.
Estoy de acuerdo. Feli es un jugador muy elegante!
If there were points for style, Lopez would have won several grand slams
He slices his BH way too much.
I agree! Smoooooooooooooth...
Ese no será Robredo? 🤣🤣🤣 ferrer con reves a una mano ?
Feliciano lopez tiene reves a una mano
Haas twice as talented as Ferrer.
If this was on Hardcourt or grass Haas all day long.
Ferrer is not the most talented but it's very hard to match his intensity. Also tactically very smart and knows how to neutralise the opponent, no matter how talented.
@@satyu131089 Haas never beat Ferrer in his career and only one of their four matches against each other was on clay.
