unfortunately a lot of companies have their products so bloated that the only way to debug or run anything is dev environment which often is some sort of clone of production without actually useful data, often not behaving the same way as the prod... i've seen many and its a pain to get things running locally again...
that is an interesting philosophy. I will reconvene on this at 8am for a daily standup withmtself and a mirror for the next 5 business days and get back to you with my thoughts.
Currently working at a place where there is so much database activity peppered in the applications that I’m worried debugging will lead to production side effects.
Many places just have ZERO docs or comments. NO README file at all. No mention of who the owners are. No mentions of how to get it running locally. No mentions of what the fuck the thing even is. I think it is a critique of having to take an hour to even figure out who the fucking owners are.

Im commenting before watching the whole 2minutes because I don’t have time and need to achieve my comment right now ASAP
"achieve" like it's some lofty goal you're applying yourself to. That's hilarious.
JDSL wasn’t built in one day guys. Just take your time
Tom took aaaall the sweet time. He didn't wanna do it for comments it seems.

Agile is like capitalism. It works but no one does it then they blame the philosophy.

I take about 2 hours a day just to see the initial screen.
that's how long it takes to run.
