- Hello Guys,
Based on a request by djdalgaard, I've made a video on HOW TO EFFECTIVELY SPOT ENEMIES LIKE A PRO.
Spotting enemies not only requires the correct graphics settings but also knowledge of what to look for and how to look for it.
I hope you enjoy another of my pubg / playerunknown's battlegrounds guide / tutorial videos which is filled with my best tips & tricks.

if you really want to analyze eye movement while gaming, I would recommend to use the tobii eye tracking system. It works quite well.
Guyu S actually I am looking into this exactly now :)
Thanks for making these! I love your videos keep up the great work man!
Hows your FoV in 1st Person? Great video =)
In squads I call out the enemy by telling my squad my compass degree number.
I usually spot them looting my body.
Relateable
Relatable [2] haha
Chris Hanson lmao 😂
Lol right!
Hahaha.........same bro
This has honestly made me question if I'm blind.
adian me 2 lol if they are standing right in front of me I still can't see them
same here I get told my eyesight does not fail anything. that I have great eyesight by the eye doctor. but some of these enemies I missed
Haha this got me so bad...
@Stolen From Africa lol bro
No doubt!
Dude is zoomed in with the 500,000X scope, crosshairs on the Target, SHOOTING the Target .....and all I see is the dang blood spray. STILL haven't actually seen the dang dude he's shooting at!
....I think it's a conspiracy! There's really no one there, the grass is just bleeding.😝😝
Can't find my enemy. Spending most of the time getting ammos and running around
Me too😢
even in slow motion i couldnt see himat 6:25 wtf
to be fair the compression on youtube makes the quality just bad enough so that in most cases its like that, in the actual game its alot easier, same goes for when watching streamers play the game, thinking how did he even see him... well more pixels ;b
SMOOTUBE i
me 2
me either bro lol
well... i still claim that colorblindness might be a big handicap in this game, since everything is more or less shades of green... FeelsBadMan
A trick I learned is when you are scanning horizontally, if you are in a culture that reads left to right, scan right to left, and vice versa. This is because if you scan in the same direction you read, your eyes start to skim details, so if you go against this, your eyes will be more focused.
You should also move your head instead of your eyes, as moving your eyes by themselves causes eye strain quicker
that is actually a really great tip!
Good tip!
Thankyou for your comment, now I can read from right to left so my right to left scanning also is skimming details
this is folden, thank you!
Even when he's showing exactly what he's doing, I still don't see crap half the time. I think I'm destined to remain cannon fodder.
Edit: I should have also said that it's a good video. I'm just terrible at this game. Still fun though.
buruzn09 don't worry man, I haven't seen 90% of enemies in this video until he killed them :)
Don't forget your watching on youtube. and not in the actual game....
Play like CS:GO, put monotir 1 inch from your eyes and keep scanning xD
I have the same problem. Next year I'm going to get a higher resolution (not necessarily 4K but still above 1080p) and especially higher refresh rate monitor alongside a new computer.
buruzn09 is actually harder for us watching because even with the good quality video, the pixels are more well defined when we are actually on the game and it's even harder if you are watching on the cellphone like me, for instance i can't see shit of the enemy on 6:19
in this video i learned.. that im even blind when the enemy's are pointed out.
WoxiiPlz yt compression
I feel it happened to me i wanted to get a car to get in the zone and there was a car but i had a doubt cuz it was not in it place like road.. but i just went to get ut and i got shooted didnt knew from where and when i watched the replay he was just infront of me😂😂
This video actually surprised me alot, as I was expecting it to be mere clickbait.
But dang! That's some really good stuff you show here.
Thank you sir!
Dominik Figlhuber I'm really happy you feel that way! I see clickbaiting as deceiving people and I never support channels which pulls one on me!
Awesome that you found it helpful :)
I totally feel the same way and I'm glad there are conent creators like you.
Thank you for your work. :D
Dominik Figlhuber People should really stop calling each other "sir"
smh
Something: *moves
Me: ENEMY SPOTTED
My gun: da ting go skrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrra
Bush:excuse me wtf
what's happening?
2023 and I still can't see people
I have the worst eyes I can't see shit
:(
WackyJacky101 My vision is below the legal limit to drive that's how bad it is . But this did help a lot! Also, reshade helps a lot
I feel u bro...depressing af
i think its time for us to leave this game and install cs go again
Same >.
I cannot spot enemies even if they shoot me 100 times but I spot them when M dead and I click 'Spectate Enemy'.
me too
You just want attention, stop posting "funny comments"
Hows that funny
Hmm😁
Nice one. These are the in-depth kind of details like eye scanning most other tutorials leave out. You are quickly becoming my favourite series of PUBG tutorials on UA-cam ^^. Can you do a similar video on compensating for bullet drop, how to accurately judge distances based on player model size, map position etc and how to consistently land shots 200m+?
Hello Yarcofin,
Thanks alot :D
You're actually not the only one who requested a bullet drop tutorial, I'll look into it and see if I can make a guide ;) (no promises though)
+1 for that. Thank you.
WackyJacky101 Yeah you're idea with the different types of scans and the on screen areas are amazing. Such comprehensive videos and you stand out as a UA-camr. Keep the videos coming man!
I still can't see people prone in grass, not even in this video when it's highlighted for me...
Spotting prone enemies in grass and the wheat fields can be very hard and it's a tactic that I use quite a bit when I'm in the top 10. If you think there are enemies in a field close to you the best way to spot them is to scan the field from higher ground and look for unusual dark spots in the field. Keep this in mind as you are setting up your position as the circles get smaller and try to get an end game position a bit higher than the rest of the play field.
Dont blame yourself too much the videos are very compressed on youtube. He is seeing much more detail than we are on this video.
People hiding on bushes with muzzle suppressors are more difficult to spot
It's easier from further away. The player will render while the grass around him will not.
Hello
at 6:10 when u shoot the guy in the grass.....i see that u killed someone, but even after i rewatch the part 10times, i can NOT see the enemy proning... for ME there is NOTHING :D
I'm bad in the game , but I love this game. Already 40+ hours
Space Dorito you and me both... I typically just hop in a teammates lvl 3 pack and let them carry me
add, me I am bad at the game too, and you can hlpe me get better
Where do you check the number of hours?
@@shariqzaheer8486 if you're playing on PC, steam provides you stats for hours you've played the game with.

how to spot enemies easily?
1. Use Death Cam 😂😂😂😂
@@yuri6250 😂🤣
You forgot to add that after spotting another player you should administer an ocular pat-down to determine their threat-level.
I knew it! I was curious since the first time seeing your approach on mouse sensitivity in the game - a very important topic most of other PUBG UA-camr/streamer seems to forget... then I saw your about section, find out you are CS: GO global elite... it answers everything. Keep it up, mate!
Blyat I always knew you were exceptional but global elite! ...Damn
Awesome video! You did an amazing job explaining your points both verbally and visually. Keep up the great content!!!
Hello Antotha Gaming,
Thanks a lot for your comment - I'm really happy you enjoyed the presentation ;) I'll do my best to keep it up!
Best regards
Sounds good, doesnt work. Cant see shit
Get better gaming monitor or eyes. You decide.
Ridho Riandry Eyes at amazon are on sale right now, just wanted a headsup
Dude practice it's like math
U can't learn it by just watching lectures u have to practice and gain experience
get a better monitor and play at higher resolution
Brilliant video mate! in-depth and when you even showed it in actual gameplay , flawless video and very helpful!
came across your vids, this being the 3rd and they are quiet helpful. I did notice while watching your eye scanning how different mine is. which was quiet interesting to compare. 👌
Cool :D!
very detailed and organised 10/10
You should add another prerequisite - 20/20 vision. I don't have 20/20 vision and I cannot do your priority scanning or even your wide scanning without scoping all the time.
damn he made it sound so easy this game is so Hard to see People everyone is at the other side of the map using snipers all the time only way you can win is on the practice area cause the normal game is imposible everyone is at level 500 even if you are at level 1trying the game for the first time you will have to play against championship Kids
it's because the game doesn't have skill based matchmaking so we have to fend for ourselves.
There is something more to this than meets the eye.
Even in this video I see next to nothing that you are already shooting at...
It's really frustraing in a game like this, I really struggle seeing enemies.
I'm totally new to fast paced shooters like this, and sadly, with low specs PC (gtx730). Yes, it's so damn hard to spot long distance enemies. But this video helps a lot.
Thank you and more power!
I'm confused about different versions of best graphic settings for spotting enemies. Some say shadows should be very low, view distance low while post process, texture, and anti-aliasing ultra. Any ideas?
you missed one dude at 5:47, He is behind the Third tree to the right of the shack. also you lost him twice, lost him at 5:43 to the right of the shack.
Well spotted. And as you can see from the video the reason for this is that both times that player is in the view, my focus is very specifically on other players.
I bet your eyes are pretty awesome in this game ;)
Best regards
you also forgot to mention he is not robo-cop
Wtf
... and vice versa. He stood there like he's glued to the spot. So, very lucky to not have been spotted. He didn't even move even when the shots were fired. Probably as blind as a bat. Plus totally deaf. Gives a very poor bat. lol
@@WackyJacky101 yo, tell your mod to unban me from your stream. @sohamj_gaming pls I wont streamsnipe, IDK how to either
Nice structure, explanation and resume!!! I love this guide!!! Good work
hey bro could you make a tactical movement guide for squads. so i was the only one that was killed by a squad. and when im spectating through my friends pov, i saw them using some navy seal tactical movement like how to ambush, and move correctly. u know, like they do on tv lul
That would be a REALLY cool video. Unfortunately my squad experience is currently not high enough for me to push quality squad content to you guys.
alright, ill just have to wait then. btw love ur tutorials
You fancy getting up in a squad then? I'm always up for a game
sure bro, add my steam. steamcommunity.com/id/itsSirSwaggy
Dude, Indonesia v England haha, sorry man
You should make a video on camouflage clothing and do some experiments on different types of terrain
I've noticed that ballistic masks and full face gas masks actually helps when trying hide since I often find the enemies by the contrast difference from their face to helmet.
and i think skin color that has reddish tan is the easiest to spot. (also sleeveless clothing are the easiest to spot)
How to spot enemies:
Use your eyes
*aye lmao*
You are best whacky jacky
Am I cheating by watching this? I don’t have a pc so I play on mobile, always lose because I can never see anyone
you can see the icons tho, so it'll not be very useful
Yeah mobile does have a footsteps mark, it's helpful that way. But PC doesn't.
That has been the bane of my existence. Gunfight and aiming is all secondary. I have a hard time fucking spotting people in Warzone and PUBG. Most of the time I'm watching streamers shooting a random spot and they hit a guy and I start screaming at my monitor , "LIKE HOW THE FUCK DID HE SEE THEM?"
Holy shit. I can't help but think you just have better eyes/brain than I lol.
Really is a miracle to me how you spot those enemiesso quickly when theyre about the size of a pixel
You forgot to mention how really fucking important is HEARING stuff and judging the distance by the sound volume and detail. Maybe make a video about exactly that?
Good idea!
That clip with the akm was amazing... By the way great video, learned alot.
Thanks Castell Theo :D! Really happy you enjoyed the video!
This might be an unpopular opinion, but reducing the graphics settings to give yourself an advantage by making the game look like crap has to be the dumbest thing ever. Of course it _works_, but it's unfair, takes away from the atmosphere and makes me feel like I'm forced to do it because I'd be at the disadvantage for having a fast computer.
The game should compensate for such disparities by making players equally visible, regardless of settings. Shit like that is why I can't get into most MMO games - I don't want to play "silly" by abusing all sorts of glitches, settings, and "tricks". I want to win because I had better positioning, aim, and awareness; not because I was using lower textures and jumped in a way that looks dumb but makes me hard to hit...
I 100% agree with you. But I always tweak my games for max competitiveness, although I wish that I didn't feel like "i had to in order to not be at a disadvantage".
It's the same if I play games with dark areas, I just up my brightness - and honestly I think most people do.
No worries mate - I respect your opinion regardless ;)
I use NVIDIA Shadowplay also known as NVIDIA Shield.
Best Regards
It's been that way since ages.. If you play casual just run high settings and put foilage low.
I agree. Feels cheap. But, I love how respectful wacky is. He seems to respect everyone's opinions. You got a sub just because of that
Good Video with nice structure. Helped me thx
Arma 3 players be like, I already know this hahaha
You sir are a PUBG Beast. NICE ONE. Subbed.
AA on ultra lol
AA helps, I used to play h1z1 king of the kill and one thing i had to do was turn up the internal resolution in the config because its too pixelated at 1080p and the game doesn't have anti aliasing.
This Is my First Video from you. Thanks for the Details.
You have my subscription 😉
Just wanna mention i think you were supposed to keep the view distance on very low and not ultra
hell no. then you wont see enemies in the distance are u dumb
GriNDysu view distance doesn't affect player rendering just so you know
I don't mean the player models, but the textures and stuff (hope you undertand what i mean). Having it on ultra will make the textures and stuff more clear to see so you can see the players better aswell.
GriNDysu I agree, I think too that having a clearer textures help Seing the contrast better
Sam iDevice before things heats up, having it on ultra or medium has a lot of Benefit. At distance, lods are used they are like a placeholder before the objects are rendered. If you put it on ultra, lods are at a higher resolutions Wich mean they are.more accurate. Have you ever tried to kill somebody and then you can't see them because they are hidden by some tree leaves that look really ugly? That means that the kids are low res and less accurate. You might have able to see theme trough leaves if you had render distance at high
Best guide for FPS game ever. Am playing Rules of Survival and your tutorial videos have help me alot. Especially the part where on you mouse sensitivity you said lower sensitivity will make your aim more precise. I use to keep it at 100 and miss alot of shot but now i keep at 55 and am killing enemy like i never done before. Even winning chicken dinner. Your the best.
"anti aliasing on ultra"
ok welp there goes every frame that i could have ever conceived
anti aliasing on very low removes all blur so put it at that
Very nice video and tips! But I have one question that makes me wonder....how do you (and some other youtubers) have good optimization without fps problems? (in contrast to a large portion of PUBG players that they have bad performance)
awesome vid as usual! keep it up mate!
would love to see a tutorial on how to spot where shooters are shooting from. for example, ill be walking and ill get hit with a bullet and have zero clue where it came from.
love to see some advice on this as ive watched your videos and u seem to respond very quickly to enemy fire and turn to their location fast.
as always, great job
Cloud Strife thank you Cloud Stride, I've noted your request :)
hii I'm Amit n I'm a mobile player in pubg + noob🙂...Plz make a video.... On sensitivity by one by one cemera , adv , n gyro .. I don't properly understand English... But I'm glad you to tell that your your explanation is deferent than others....
I have quite a bit of experience in PUBG at 340 hours just about. The videos are exactly what I need to give my friends who don't have the same experience with the game. Maybe could we get a guide on controlling recoil?
Awesome! I'm happy you can share the videos to your friends. A recoil guide is on the list!
WackyJacky101 awesome. Also. Maybe maybe not. But playing with someone that understands the game would be pretty cool. You ever wanna duo or squad?
Sweet, lots of work into it
You're right The Cezz,
Probably took around 8-10 hours to get everything as I wanted.
Happy it shows! ;)
Oh - and thanks for spending time watching my content!
Have a great day!
WackyJacky101 u2, i really like your videos and i'm glad you're covering unique and subtle aspects of the game. Keep it up, and best regards from Romania!
Thumbs up !
Hey Wacky just now thinking of this, could you make a video on positioning ? best positions for gun fights, last circle etc ? I think that's where a lot of people need help including myself cause getting shot in the ass isn't very fun haha !
Hello Mate,
Good idea. I've noted your request :) thanks for bringing up the idea!
I could not for the life of me properly explain to my friends how to scan the area for threats, because it seemed common sense to me. This was like a sudden click in their brains, hell I told them to practice doing it in real life too XD
My biggest problem when playing is that I sit about 5 feet back from my 55 inch TV and it makes it kinda hard to see sometimes... but I'm still better than my friends sitting an inch away.
Screen scaling is not a must for everyone because it put more work on the GPU. My friend has a GTX 780 and he had screen scale at 120 but had an issue where every time he pressed tab to look into his inventory there was a dramatic drop of frame rate for just doing that. I told him to tone it down to 100(default) and when he press tab the framerate drop wasn't as dramatic as before. Say it simply if you're running anything current gen like a Ryzen 1700, i7-7700k GTX 1070, 1080, 1080ti & a Titan XP screen scale at 120 shouldn't be an issue for you unless of course you want more frames but if you're stuck on older hardware just make sure if you do scale it up to 120 that it works for you in terms of fps.
Octavio Martinez Galvan I didn't even know screen scaling had an effect on fps. Thank you for clarifying. 😀
What settings would you recommend for my system (i5 6500, gtx 1060, 8 GB ram)?
skyf00gle Keep screen scaling at 100 for good measure & everything else similar to what wackyjacky101 has but if think your hardware can handle 100+ then try to increase screen by margins of 5 till you're at a comfortable spot where it clearer but isn't hurting your fps too much.
Yeah, 120 should ve a effective Resolution 2304 x 1296 pixels. Of course it gets cleaner, but you should remember your fps.
Also my target is a Minimum of 60 in any Situation and my oc'ed r9 380 should Match your 1060. Also my i5 6600 even if its oced, but in my case the gpu as in yours should bottleneck.
Go for 105 and anti aliasing. Viewdistance high and the Rest on löw. Should work!
i have to have it at 90 with everything low, it sucks :( but at least it's playable
Subscribed man, really informative video :)
Nice - Welcome to the channel ;)
Årrrh du lyder så dansk at det er hårdt for mig at se den her video haha. Ellers rigtig god video! Kan se du har brugt ekstremt meget tid på den, hvilket jeg sætter pris på!
Hey Strutfly,
Sorry you're unhappy with my accent ;) I don't really mind it - It's how we danes sound and we can either be embarrassed by it or we can embrace it, and I choose the latter :D
Super happy you enjoyed the video tho, thanks for letting me know mate!
WackyJacky101 Heeey i was wondering if you were Danish, guess i Got my answer. Dunno if you know the youtuber fugglet? (25 k Subs pubg Channel) pretty sure he is also Dansk, future collab right there. God video, lige subcribed
Yes I also understand this
View distance should be on low to achieve the purpose you said for putting it in ultra
Dmnit. Im colorblind and dont see any colorvariation in those spots :/
Broxine Welcome to the club lmao. The colourblind settings don't do shit either
Same
I'm not color blind but still can't spot them 😂😂
Wonder how it would be to play pure b&w, so pure contrast and movement...?
Great video, how do you and other people have your guns and equipment on screen next to the minimap?
Athomize there is a update on pubg that where u can turn on or off the weapon hub
What about the XBOX?? Not everyone plays on PC!!!!

Matt oh Noooooo.....Cry me a New River to Pochinki!!!!
something something PC master race?
More like the xTrash
I scan, duck, dodge, weave, and STILL end up getting spotted first. Also, even when I shoot first and empty five rounds into the asshole, he still manages to put me down first. I don't know if these bastards cheat but it seems likely
Sooooo TL;DW: Use your eyes
Too long didnt wead???
Strufly naw my man it's too long didnt watch
I'll just keep doing what I'm good at...hiding :D
No 1 tip, dont wear white clothes , ive nailed so many people that thought they were stealthy going prone in their white boxers.
Knn B Or yellow
Knn B lmao tighty whites
Thanks! helped A lot
I'm happy it did ;)
Those settings are trash sorry
np it's okay to express your opinion
Y. Would be nice if you could help him correct his settings 😆
So deep. Subscribed because of this
You deserved a sub mu good sir. 👌
Thanks man!
Still i cant detect a single enemy
Ur videos are really good👍
I have a very BASIC question. When is it better to use single, burst or automatic shot option for guns?
personally I never understand where does the sound coming from, what to do? I always die because of that(
It also helps that those who watch these videos watch from a screen larger than a cellphone.
I find it way more likely they find me... And whats better is by that time i see them they come over closer to take all my stuff and dance on my head

You focus ALOT on sound, which is great. But can you make video on spotting SHOOTERS. Specifically with suppressors?
Thanks I totally forgot about turning textures down... who needs grass lol
excellent information!
Have you make a video about the best place to landing in Pubg map?

Subscribed. These videos are great. I just started playing a few days ago and while I'm getting better and winning a bit or finishing top 3 quite often, I'm still having problems picking players out and winning gun battles. I'll try your video settings. I had all mine on Ultra as I have a GTX 1080 and wanted the best visual experience.
Time to initiate my PUBG Ocular patdown technique.
With this tricks anyone can become an hunter even in the real world
Changed my graphics settings to match yours, two rounds later I won. My eyes were way less fatigued than usual. Thanks!
What an awesome story! Thank you for letting me know this Celsian - It makes every minute spent making this worth it :)
Thanks for the video. That was exactly what I am looking for. I knew the places, where enemies may hide, but that eye-scanning-technique is genius. I think I am focusing either to long on one object or doesn't focus at all. Your video helps me a lot in this thing.
But I wonder, how you can use the wide or horizontal scanning technique? If I relax my eyes, then everything gets blurred and besides that the left and right sides are in my blind-spots. (Area in your eyes, where you cannot see anything. Focus in front and move your Thumb to the left/right and at some place you wont be able to see your thumb)
I am only able to scan the horizon or do the wide scan by moving my eyes from left to right and back. Any tipps there?
Now imagine you behave this way all the time when you're out in public, outside your own home, movies, dinner, kids sporting events. That's some of what PTSD is like
Really helpful
