I work at the car parts counter at 1 of our local CT, minimum wage, too many tasks. High stress for low wage is not worth it, we deal with so much on a daily basis and none of the upper management know exactly what we do or deal with, they cant even do a Costar (invoice for the sale/warranty in the system) for a battery sale and are constantly on our ass about shit not getting done. Ignoring the fact we are almost glued to the counter, constant customer flow and phones ringing nonstop. Overall if you are thinking about applying to a CT from my experience of 2 years now and 2 different owners, look elsewhere, like he said in the video, you can easily be replaced if they don't like you.
That being said, we've had so many employees quit/fired over this summer its blowing my mind how fast they grind thru staff, we are severely understaffed and they push us to a point of going on a burnout. 1 employee per department most of the time and they expect you to cover for other departments on top of dealing with your own, so I can go from selling car parts for an hour to somehow having to figure out toilet parts for a customer with no training offered at all. This might all seem like a big rant, mostly yes but its my experience at CT and a warning,. Like he said at the end, take the job if u need quick employment but do not plan on staying there for life as the wage cap is far too low for the tasks you will be doing/dealing with.
Just keep in mind, CT is a franchise and not all stores are managed the same, as for our 3 local stores, they are mostly in the same boat as the 1 I am currently working at.

Hello. Thanks for the video. I am a new Canadian Tire Employee. Can you please tell me what health insurance provider they use, I am guessing each location uses the same corporately chosen Health Insurance Provider. Thank you.

CT is a franchise, each store owner (dealers they call themselves) manages who they deal with for insurance and such. I live in the Quebec province so my store owner went with a local insurance company.
