My headcanon is that athena was controlling him to kill and after he came to and didn't realize athena controller him, he saw he killed someone and we will most likely never know if my theory is correct
at 0:37 this is the best moment of the entire project IMO. This brings it full circle. on my first listen, I was like OH SHIT. He may have thought he had some empathy before with his desire to let people live. But he didn't even begin to understand where the monsters were coming from until the song "Monster" when he thinks about the motives of the cyclopse, god, and witch. Then right here in this moment, the way he says "enough" mirrors polyphemus so perfectly. You can feel it in his voice. He doesn't just know how polyphemus felt. He *understands*. Polyphemus says "enough" before he grabs his club and starts killing the soldires, in the exact same tone that Odysseus says it in "I have had ENOUGH." This was such a deeply moving moment, I felt it right then and there. And then, JUST IN CASE WE MISSED IT the background music is "Polyphemus". Even when Odysseus was fighting Posiden, that was still self defense. But what happens next goes far beyond that. Its wrath. Its fury. Its pure ruthlessness. This is the moment Odysseus finally becomes the monster that's been alueded to all along.

the musical differs from the actualy story in some ways, im guessing in the canon of the musical nobody is fully naked in any scene shown just bc it isn't necessary and doesn't add much
