It's kind of sucks that people do the whole flowchart thing. It should just be Player vs player and people playing the game how it's supposed to be played
@@yousuckatneutral8017 I don't understand how I'm supposed to make this "flowchart" mid game as if I have 1000 iq?? This video basically told me that your enemy plays a certain way and you need to read their strategy so you can construct a strategy to outplay their strategy and when they adapt you adapt and you keep on trying to play differently each time. Sure that makes sense, but I still don't know how to play against a wolf that spams their gun and gives me 0 options, and when I think of one I end up getting punished or smashed into oblivion. Taking into account things like skill level difference is important too, because I can learn and practice until my hands bleed and still get my ass kicked because of the sbmm. I've improved over the YEARS playing this game but it gets on my nerves how much I still have to learn and how HARD IT IS to get that information or heck! Even understand it! You guys use all kinds of lingo that goes over the heads of casual players trying to get better at the game as if its fucking science. Why should I have to struggle to not only get information but understand it and replicate it and memorize it for ingame play and hope I don't forget it or I'm screwed and I have to go back to practice mode and get my combos down again and again but combos don't matter either because you need to make sure you do this and that and avoid this! Its the monotony of trying and trying to get better with such limited information that it drives me insane.
What's wayyy more frustrating than losing is the amount of lag in online and when the game randomly disconnects you and then acts like you disconnected and gives you a disconnect timer when it was someone else who lagged out. I can go from playing 5 matches smoothly to 1 match playing at 5 frames per second cause my opponent is lagging the game.
Man, this game is so frustrating for me. I’ve always played pretty casually on my friend’s console, but I’ve never had my own Switch until about a week ago. I’ve been trying to play Smash pretty casually, but the problem is that I get destroyed literally EVERY. Single. Match… I wish there were some sort of matchmaking system (maybe there is and I’m just unaware), but I’m talking about literally going on 20 game losing streaks. Pretty infuriating because I just want to play casually but maybe win at least 1/5 games. Instead, I get destroyed again and again to the point where the game isn’t even fun.
I know this is late, but try to rematch everyone you lose to. You can learn their habits and how they play the character and the you can build a gameplan against that character
Oh... I don't even bother playing online, even when I *did* have Switch Online. I just play against CPU's, level 7's to be exact. Even then, *some* characters are extremely annoying to fight (Ness, sometimes wario, and Robin is easily one of the worst.) I should probably mention that I main Mewtwo.

The one to blame for losing is yourslef for hitting play in elite smash knowing that the opponent is gonna play out of his mind to make you not lose, but suffer. Im glad to tirn off my seitch when i lose. It makes my opponent not win any gsp and it prevents me from playing for another 30 mins so i get less angry
I understand there needed to be an example to base the video around, but it frustrates me to see that all anyone ever thought of samus was as a spam character. coming from a standpoint of having mained multiple of these "spam characters", like varia suit Samus and Ike, it annoys me to hear because I always try to use as many different attacks as possible as mix ups and it lead to greater versatility. I always made sure to not spam because it lead to much worse gameplay, but because of how some twelve year old kid plays their games I'll still end up being called a spammer whenever someone asks me who I play. The characters don't spam, its who plays them, don't immediately assume they spam.
Yo @You Suck at Neutral, is it also possible for the openings you rely on in a previous game being changed ,affects it? Say a grab-reliant plan from Smash 4, which was removed in Ultimate. Or a heavily reliance on openings from grabs?
For sure! For example, Captain Falcon's Extended Dash Dance made him a very powerful whiff punisher in Smash 4. A lot of players played him because of his EDD. However, in Ultimate he has a very bad dash dance, and the players who failed to adapt to that fell behind. Sometimes, those sorts of options can become a crutch, because while they can be very powerful, they can become overused to the point where the player using the option has no idea why they're using the option in the first place. If this happens, the player will see negative results if that option is removed or nerfed. Hope this helped! Brian Ding
I'm tired of being so bad in my schools tournament and being called speddie just because I have autism. I just get made fun of everytime I lose to someone in a 1-1 match. I'm so tired of it I don't wanna play this game anymore
The problem for me, is that my first decision was to main a character with bad frame data that Nintendo refuses to buff instead of an S-tier Nintendo refuses to nerf, and nothing after that matters.

The smarter person should win at chess? There's so many issues with that statement my friend. Probably best not to make comments about top chess players if you don't know the game or what it takes. It's nothing to do with being 'smart' it's about starting the game at a very early age and working your ass off at it. There's no such thing as 'smart' - knowledge is gained, not given for free. Growth Mindset etc..
1) *Smash is NOT a fighting game. STOP calling it a fighting game* 2) the way to "get better" in this game is to adopt a strategy that either encorperates spamming, zoning or switch to one of the many broken characters. Because smash isnt a fighting game, it is not to be held to the standard of a fighting game: Smash is not a skill-based game (as most FGs are), it is a mechanics-based *PARTY-GAME* with small (minded) "fighting" mechanics, so that it can be accessible to children. Due to its nostalgic appeal it has become (very) popular with "adults"; who regularly exploit the games lack of balance--creating an extremely toxic online environment. Simply put smash is unbalanced because it is not supposed to be. There are characters with 5 jumps, that can kill in 3 hits, have clearly absurd recovery-frames, clearly disproportionate hit/hurtboxes; etc. *this is by design* *Smash is designed to be played with items and stage mechanics, by children.* These things exist to mitigate/circumvent the *(clearly ridiculous)* roster. The characters are not designed to be pit directly against each other without intervention, this is the will of the "competitive adults" who regularly deny reality; and tell people that their rules (which are a pathetic attempt at imitating actual fighting games) are "thee" rules. In smash there are no proportionate damage ratios, no balanced block or grab systems and things like "neutral game" are not transferable, since every character on the roster is fundamentally different from the last. For people who want to be "good" at smash (a literal childrens game); you must foregoe the mentality of a fighting game. Play this game like the endless sea of trolls that do. Pick a high-tier character, learn what their most broken advantages are; use this as a foundation to build your "skill" in this game. As a person who regularly plays actual FGs and plays smash, you must remember that this is a party game... You know who plays party games? Children, casuals and trolls.
Smash is definitely a fighting game, it just doesn't mesh well with the traditional fighting game community because the skills don't translate very well. I can tell you don't know much about smash because you seem to think you can win by simply abusing a character's "broken advantages", go play pyra/mythra against a top level player on ganon and see how your shit gets rocked. You absolutely need to build up your skill in order to win. Neutral game is much more complex because of each character's differences, and I don't get the argument that it is "not a skill-based game, it is mechanics-based." What is skill if not mastering mechanics, combos, match-ups, neutral game, and mind-games? You can't complain about "poor balance" (even though ultimate is pretty damn well balanced all things considered) when ultimate has a roster 5 times the size of most other traditional fighting games. I'm not here to shit on the FGC, I just hate seeing people reduce the work of players in the smash pro scene because "hurr durr it's just a kids party game."

The worst thing is: Nintendo charges you for this "service"

It's all the fucking kazuyas
Brian Ding
@@yousuckatneutral8017 I see. I'll deff check more of your videos out! Thanks!
I hope I'm not coming off as rude, but if said player hasn't gotten used to ultimate by now, they might not be able to play ultimate at this point.
@@blackghostcat Naw you're fine m8 :D
I probably just need to take a break or change characters

I’m tired of online I think I’m ass at the game but my friend says I’m good right
I'm tired of being so bad in my schools tournament and being called speddie just because I have autism. I just get made fun of everytime I lose to someone in a 1-1 match. I'm so tired of it I don't wanna play this game anymore
What song is at 3:17
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 OST - Clock Tower Stage
The problem for me, is that my first decision was to main a character with bad frame data that Nintendo refuses to buff instead of an S-tier Nintendo refuses to nerf, and nothing after that matters.
Fight the player, not the character
I dropped 5 million GSP with Byleth in one day.
Same but w link
Same, but w/ Pythra
Same but w lucas
@@thedogplush Just yesterday I managed to reach elite smash for the first time by using Lucas. It took me 729 matches.
Epic video 😎
I stopped playing SSBU online. I swear an god the emotions you feel after your done playing is absolutely horrible and honestly can't anymore; let's not forget about teabaggers

My Kirby is titties good... but I want to learn everyone so instinctively I played mario... and Holy shit my Mario is bad... I've won maybe 5 games out of 100 over the past week... no clue what I'm doing wrong
Melee is a much better indicator of how skillful a player is. SSBU’s hit boxes are trash.
Bruh Melee's hitboxes are the jankiest shit ever seen LMAO
You're just bad

Can't wait to go on and play against 40 foxes in a row

I get so angry when I lose to bad players because I'm in it to have fun, and I play the way is my expression of that. I don't mind losing sometimes, but losing over and over and over again to the same type of player is frustrating. So you know what? I actually played scissors! I got better at the game! And now I'm having even less fun because in order to win I have to play a way that isn't fun! This game is a pile of dog shit!
Pyra & Mythra side/ up b spam
Ironically an amazing example
As a aegis main, god that’s so annoying
There's a pretty large recovery delay from those skills. If you can't avoid them you are really really bad at the game.
this visdeo did not explain how to deal with spammers
Just tired of dlc characters. I don't pay to win
What about banjo?

This game is needlessly complicated and requires way too much free time to practice. I bought this game because my coworkers kept telling me how fun it is. Worst $60 I ever spent. For me it's exceptionally difficult and the learning curve is ridiculous. I absolutely suck at this game and now I never play it. I'm not a hardcore gamer and don't spend hours upon hours playing video games. I don't have the time needed to invest in this game. Sorry, I'll stick to MK and Uncharted 😂 fuck this game
Good because the online to this game is garbage
I literally don’t spam lol and I still lose
Sora should be banned from smash online
I keep getting beat by pichu. (I main pyra/mythra)
Damn really? Pyra is probably top 10 character in the game so you must not be very good but hey it's alright as long as your having fun

Every game.
And you loose, every game. Don’t act like smash bros doesn’t have sbmm like warzone do, cuz it does.
good shit
smash is a fucking joke of a game.shit lag online people just run and some character gimmicks are just stupid. just play a actual better fighting game.i still liked and sub for the effort put into video still well done
Smash online sucks, when I play 1v1 I always lose with low gsp players and I still lose like 12/2 match and also when I play on team match I always get that noob player, so unlucky, and always die first, I really don't want to play anymore, japanese players are always annoying.
Number 1 reason net code sucks game sucks balancing sucks
The smarter person should win at chess? There's so many issues with that statement my friend. Probably best not to make comments about top chess players if you don't know the game or what it takes. It's nothing to do with being 'smart' it's about starting the game at a very early age and working your ass off at it. There's no such thing as 'smart' - knowledge is gained, not given for free. Growth Mindset etc..
ORRRRR you might be losing because smash ultimate is just not a good game in general
This didnt help at all, i still suck at this game lol
1) *Smash is NOT a fighting game. STOP calling it a fighting game*
2) the way to "get better" in this game is to adopt a strategy that either encorperates spamming, zoning or switch to one of the many broken characters.
Because smash isnt a fighting game, it is not to be held to the standard of a fighting game:
Smash is not a skill-based game (as most FGs are), it is a mechanics-based *PARTY-GAME* with small (minded) "fighting" mechanics, so that it can be accessible to children.
*this is by design*
*Smash is designed to be played with items and stage mechanics, by children.* These things exist to mitigate/circumvent the *(clearly ridiculous)* roster.
Children, casuals and trolls.
man, you must SUCK at neutral
@@pure_slush Definitely
Can you beat Mkleo mr.partygame
Sounds like someone lost in smash
Uninstall smash and your quality of life simply goes up. Just do it guys. Sell the game.
I’m “this guy” that people complain about losing to and it’s really funny
Ultimate is the worst smash bros game.
