Well it makes more sense honestly. Im pretty sure DayZ takes place after the civil war so there wouldn't be as many Western rifles around, infact there'd be even more Eastern weapons because of it. Gotta remember that Chernarus is bordering Russia.
its as good as an ak74 more or less. More damage, but no auto and bad iron sights for medium range. Terrible change in my opinion, even though id rather have an ak honestly.
@@ssolondra it was, but not just the tundra. All weapon removals from chernarus, Livonia and Sakhal were a terrible idea and an even worse change. The weapon selection in vanilla Dayz was already lacking in variety, but with the removal of half the guns on Livonia, the lack of variety went from a small gripe to a HUGE problem. It’s not entertaining to use the same 4 guns over and over and over again. It’s just not. Awful change.
kind of puzzling update, i like the idea of west/east guns being more common on west/east maps but the loot tier changes on chernarus are really strange and there's just not enough existing guns yet for this concept to feel like it really works. not to be the "bohemia plz add new guns every update" guy but there really should have been more variety in the guns before they tried this
Especially because we're STILL missing around 30 different weapons we either _had_ previously, or were _shown_ and _promised_ to receive and still haven't.....let alone helicopters, our bumblebee airplane, our S1023 minivan, our Multicar, the other variants of the V3S/M3S (the box/enclosed one that's now an ambulance wreck, the open stake body one that carries 13 people, the bare chassis one ECT) , the "could've been game changing" _extra_ base building pieces that were physically leaked a couple years ago that we got to play with until BI found out and had them ripped down from the Workshop.... and we _still_ haven't received them nor anything else base related like the containers, fridge, radios, storage ECT.... the non-lethal weaponry like the dart gun with multiple different dart types, the bow and arrow, the taser and cattle prod, the LAW nor RPG-7 rockets for taking out Arial vehicles and armored vehicles (which we also still haven't received like the Vodnik, Humvee, and armed Humvee)....none of the awesome makeshift twig and grass and camo netting tents and blinds and covers (one was big enough to park a V3S or even our missing Bus under).... I can go on and on. Nope.... they'd rather remove stuff than to add back what's still missing.... even Utes military Island with it's airfield is _still_ missing from the far south sea off the south shore of Skalisky Island..... nope.... let's remove stuff instead 🙄😤
They should have fixed the 1000 bugs plaguing the game and making people quit all the time before they worry about stuff like this - but yall will buy their next DLC and prove they can be as lazy as they want to be.

There is obviously somebody or a group of people at bohemia with a lot of power to make decisions & not quite enough experience to back them up. This shouldn’t have even been on the list of priorities let alone at the top.
Only adjustment that should be made to this is to delete it entirely. They keep making the game worse when there are so many problems to fix it’s infuriating.
Think they might be catering to more casual (cod brain) players? I see this so often now with almost all games that it wouldn’t surprise me. I relatively new to the game, but I enjoyed the scarcity of things a year ago

Instead of adding contaminated areas to Sakhal or making the submarine interior or fixing clipping objects or pixelated snow they tweak an excel sheet. A lot of work.
i mean, the list of total nonsense is almost endless at this point. and they using "excuses" like "real life/reality" as if they actually tried or bothered. thats why u can make rope from guts and use "gun cleaning kits" to fix everything in a couple of sec", boots getting ruined after walking for a bit, u cant walk with binoculars, lie prone with them make u look into the ground like a rtrad.. u shoot a couple some holes into cloths and they actually get ruined. i mean...at least they figured out that the community will both sell and make the game for them, not for free - but paying. New arma 3 dlc = 8$, and dayz dlc=30. their maths is the only thinkg making sense, with 100% greed and not a single care, in mind.
The Tundra being able to use a bottle supressor, besides the ammo capacity , makes it a better sniper rifle than the Blaze. Understandable it would be rarer, but still, 4 to 25? Unbalanced.
it's my least favorite map too but I like the fact that im forced to travel there. besides it spawns in lower tier areas so you can go for a short adventure on (probably) less explored grounds

People like having more weapons, obviously. not less variety, and on top of that half of the high tier weapons are really rare to find. so most lives are spend with the same few weapons.
It makes sense though. 5.56 is, IMHO, end game loot. It was versatile because you could get an M16 and compete your whole life once you got it, it is still one of the more powerful calibers. I totally understand the nerf, because I used to just spawn and find an M16 early and steal from the next player anything potentially better than what I have. Now though, we need to figure out how each map needs to progress.
what im saying!! has so many options everywhere, i couldnt even find much 556 boxes outside of emptying 10rd mags before the update... 545 on the other hand was everywhere now its getting boosted?

3:40 I cant believe theyre removing the BK-133 from costal areas...one of the best weapons to combat the geared players just running around killing freshies. because its the kind of update that took no effort or time - and they can ACT like they are updating the game. Its the same thing they did for years now, but yall praise them when they add new animal sounds instead of fixing the game. This game will never be fixed, cause if they dropped a dlc tomorrow, you'd buy it despite how much they have neglected their community for years now. Despite the game literally being so broken it scares A LOT of players away. Yall dont care, and you'll prove it when that next dlc comes. I draw the line when they actively go out of their way to make changes that ruin or dilute the experience of some of the players. They need to revert these last few updates, but its highly unlikely. I'm not gonna encourage it, but i see why people are review bombing the game now. @@dealler669 if you can find ammo for a gun in a country. more then likely it will also have at least one gun in that caliber. makes no sense that here I am finding loads of ammo for a gun I’ll never find. the better way to do this would be remove all of said gun in that caliber from the military loot tables and make it really rare civilian/hunter loot

In a way, it kind of makes sense about the 5.56 being limited on Chernarus. However, from a gameplay perspective, it sucks. The only thing I strongly agree with is the LAR being moved into the gas and the AKM being moved OUT of the gas zone. The AKM should've never been in the gas zones to begin with.
I agree completely ! AK - Eastern weapon, easily accessible in this location. FAL - Western weapon - scarce in this location. Why tf is AK like diamonds in a corn field on Cherno?? It makes no sense??

Dayz, its been a fun and wild ride these last several years, we've had our ups and downs and you've changed a lot, but recently not for the better; and I think this is the change that has me saying goodbye.
Because the devs have zero clue nor vision. I've suggested to them multiple, multiple times, especially now, to slightly extend the northern edge of the map a few kilometers north, making the extension a mountain range with just a few random guys or houses tucked up there.... nothing but mountain and snow capped trees, and start fading in snow on the ground around the biathlon arena, ski resort, straight east from there....they could literally draw a line on the map and it gradually gets colder as soon as you start encroaching in on the area....they could even add a bunker into the mountain somewhere with a key card spawning elsewhere on the map.... making it a mission to get up there, and making it blisteringly cold at the top of the mountain....but nope, nothing.... I've been saying this for years now

Anyone remember when they were first implementing the central loot economy? There was one update where the loot was so broken that everyone was starving on the coast. You would see 3 people huddled around an apple tree trying to get any scrap of food they could. If you made it to a military base you would find disinfectant spray and thermometers but not a single gun, mag, or bullet. Then you would randomly check the outhouse in a far north town and find like 5 M4s, 3 vests, a bunch of backpacks, and more ammo than you could carry. It was like an entire server's worth of military loot stacked on top of a toilet. Ah, the good ol days.
@domskii_0 im console player i like the first change they did to gun spawn having unique guns on each map but then they keep moving the freaking toxic loot and everything else it doesn't freel like dayz loot anymore, now its like a community server loot
People want more content not less and I feel that if they’re going to take things out they should add just as many if not more to compensate these change or it will kill certain maps population
Ive been clowning on them for these stupid changes for the better part of a year now. But the community up until now has been praising them for this. Now people are starting to see where I'm coming from. Since they made the update where footwraps are no longer quiet and clothing takes 3x more damage from zombies ive been saying they need to chill on these changes. It feels like theyre making these updates to tick boxes and show investors theyre still working on the game rather than actually trying to please the player base. It feels like they want players to play in a very specific way and theyre trying to push everyone in that direction with these pointless updates. Forcing people to play how you want is only going to make people quit, DayZ is a game who's whole appeal is about being able to make your own adventure and play how you wanna play. Theyre slowly taking that away from us because a loud minority of the playerbase says its what they want.

I used to love this game, i have thousands of hours on it. And now it just feels miserable to play. Every update now has something that irks me to no end, amongst changes i would otherwise consider good or just alright. Like hey guys we added new animals and a new map, but you gotta pay $30 and also we're reducing invetory slots by 33-50% across the board and completely flipping the loot spawns on their head, and removing some guns from certain maps...just cause we can. We added a new skybox, but disabled the ability to hide your gun with certain emotes. We added a new fishing lure and a wooden hook, but made it impossible to eat meat from predators without getting sick. These are all decent changes paired with these changes that do nothing but piss me off. They dont make the game harder (unless maybe youre a new player) they just end up doing nothing but creating minor inconveniences and forcing me to change my play style to suit what they think is how i should play. I should be able to play how i want, by my own rules. Not the devs rules, or little Timmys rules who thinks everyone should travel with the bare minimum equipment and always be a nomad who never creates a base or a stash. On top of all that the community is just becoming more and more insufferable, in game all you have is spawn campers and KoSers. In comment sections all you find are people willing to die on a hill that the devs changes are always so great and they never do wrong in any way. 3 years ago the community was allot more chill. I could actually sometimes talk to people in game and make a new friend or reply to someone oin a comment section and get an actual opinion. Now all i get in game is whacked over the head with a sledge hammer or stabbed with a pitch fork for daring to even look or approach another player even straight off spawn. I cant go into a comment section without getting personally insulted by things like "oh youre just bad, get good" or "go back to CoD". The community as well as the devs decisions are pushing me far away from this game. I cant wait to get a PC. At least there are more communities there and mods that i can use to revert these changes the devs keep making that i dont like.

I think they screwed a lot of weapon spawns. Fact that t1 and 2 weapons spawning in t4..is beyond me. You shouldnt go tru Much Higher risk to find a damn dee bee.

@tanybrachid I'm not a hoarder lol like I said before I like wearing civilian clothing, but forgot to mention I used to not use backpacks pretty much light carrying on every run and only used 2 guns with 4 to 5 mags if I have m4 or ak if I have a sniper I would carry 40 rounds cause I don't really snipe as much and as for food everything I cook I eat right away. But now I can't even were the default T shirt lol I don't like wearing military clothes like everyone else im a solo that don't build bases but will make stashes, so I'm far from being a hoarder. Oh and I used to do naked runs only using a sling bag and one gun 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

Moving up SMGs like the Skorpion, Bizon, and MP5; as well as the BK-133 and most pistols... Might as well remove all the PDs and military areas in Tier 1 now. What even is the point of risking it to loot somewhere like Berezino PD or Balota airfield anymore
Love the idea of doing this with clothes but we just don't have enough guns to do the Eastern/NATO split and not have the variety cut in half Also since when did the m16 spawn in gas zones? I've found those things in the bunkers by Livonia prison
That explains why i've been looking for a Tundra and only finding Blazes. I like the Blaze but the fact that the Tundra can use a bottle supressor makes it the best sniper rifle.
The community has taken too long to speak up, now that they are theyre being pushed back by all the yes men of the community who just find any reason to support the devs decisions and the devs could give less of a fuck what the community actually wants. They obviously want this game to be played in a very specific way, and are making these changes to push that perspective. A horrible decision for a game like DayZ where player choice is 95% of the fun.

Until duping is fixed, it's destroyed building a base that least. Even a 12, 4 dial gate system inside of a yellow 2 story is no match for the proper duper with just one ied
I like moving the akm out of contaminated zones because it makes sense that it wouldn't be a super rare gun in Eastern Europe, but making the m16 heli crash and convoy only is stupid. Same with 5.56 boxes

I don't mind the changes. I used to avoid using many of these guns because I knew it would be easier to find end tier weapons. Now it feels like I'll have to take the Blaze when I find it, but it's ok because the next guy I find will probably also have a basic gun.

I just have a specific version I remember playing a year or so ago, shortly after they "fixed" cars and just added the new bags where I wasn't fighting sickness on the coast all the time. I want to go back to those days. Idc about loot, I'll run around naked with a spear hunting wolves and unsuspecting goats and have a great time.
mosin beeing tier 2 is weird, its one off the best snipers in the game, and if i understand correctly the ak74 and ak74 u are both tier 3 now? so strange

I feel like they want the game to be played strictly as a survival/roleplay game on officials according to their most recent updates. I much prefer it as a milsim survival with factions and base building.
M16 and the Baby AK are usually my starter weapons nearly every life. M16 burst mode is amazing, Can short burst by taping or hold all the way thru for the full 3 rounds.
I don’t understand most of the loot dividing between maps. Maybe some clothing (white hunter gear, chelating tabs, etc) , but I’ve always thought variety was a really great thing. Hopping servers to find random guns takes away from that special part of Dayz, the fact that your character has one life and adventure. And frankly the amount of people that care about geographic relevancy of weapons or if they’d be in that climate or area? Come on, it’s still a game and gameplay is more important than some weird form of realism.
Just remove server hopping. People only abuse it. And ive been saying it for years, DayZ is not a realistic game. People think it is because it has semi-realistic bullet mechanics and is a survival game. Thats it. For any "realistic" thing you can point out in DayZ i can point out 2 things that are very unrealistic about it. Gameplay balance only matters over realism to some people when it comes to making the game more inconvenient to play.
One thing I never really understood is why there are only such a limited ammount of high tier weapons on each server. It takes one hoarder and noone would be able to find m4's or other rare weapons anymore
Seems like too many cooks in the kitchen. Making people make adjustments to stuff that hasnt needed much tuning. Fix the zombies tracking dont make the damn loot tougher to find
I like surprises and loot variety. I would like if they made it possible but unlikely for anyghing to spawn anywhere. A chance low enough that loot progression happens, but looting won't be predictable and un-varied. And you won't be forced to take the same optimised loot route inland every time. And it would add realism :)
I like it better this way, especially as a freshie. It's much easier to find guns, ammo and mags now. Before you had to have 4 different guns as a freshie, now you only need 1-2 guns.
I wonder if the reason that some items that say they're configured to spawn don't appear to be due to the number of spawn points is the necessary limits of testing methodology: If you could somehow simulate traffic, or even "loot cycle" during your testing, would perhaps these items start to spawn in the proceeding CLE "ticks"? Only a guess but I assume the CLE just works it's way down the XML file, meaning some items are more likely to spawn on initialisation than others.
Idk, i'm a bug fan of these changes. The best part of Dayz imo is the time between finding your first gun, and finding your top tier rifle. Once you have that top level gear, the progression starts to slow down from there. I like the game taking this survival first direction with it's loot and gameplay. Base game is too easy to survive, hence why i've loved every second of Sakhal so far.
Ya, since they add the extra mily areas on Sakhla , balancing loot as a server owner become impossible almost. But my favorite weapon is AK-M so I am happy for the increased and lower tier spawns 😊
[UPDATE]: The 101 mag I found was actually from a convoy, not a rando military vehicle wreck. But it can still spawn in other locations not specified in the xml files(NWAF tents, military shipping containers). It should be helis and convoys only.

The weapon selection in vanilla Dayz was already lacking in variety, but with the removal of half the guns on Livonia, the lack of variety went from a small gripe to a HUGE problem. It’s not entertaining to use the same 4 guns over and over and over again. It’s just not. Awful change.

kind of puzzling update, i like the idea of west/east guns being more common on west/east maps but the loot tier changes on chernarus are really strange and there's just not enough existing guns yet for this concept to feel like it really works. not to be the "bohemia plz add new guns every update" guy but there really should have been more variety in the guns before they tried this
Chernarus doesnt even matter with east/west guns because the chernarussian military was literally supplied by the west
Especially because we're STILL missing around 30 different weapons we either _had_ previously, or were _shown_ and _promised_ to receive and still haven't.....let alone helicopters, our bumblebee airplane, our S1023 minivan, our Multicar, the other variants of the V3S/M3S (the box/enclosed one that's now an ambulance wreck, the open stake body one that carries 13 people, the bare chassis one ECT) , the "could've been game changing" _extra_ base building pieces that were physically leaked a couple years ago that we got to play with until BI found out and had them ripped down from the Workshop.... and we _still_ haven't received them nor anything else base related like the containers, fridge, radios, storage ECT.... the non-lethal weaponry like the dart gun with multiple different dart types, the bow and arrow, the taser and cattle prod, the LAW nor RPG-7 rockets for taking out Arial vehicles and armored vehicles (which we also still haven't received like the Vodnik, Humvee, and armed Humvee)....none of the awesome makeshift twig and grass and camo netting tents and blinds and covers (one was big enough to park a V3S or even our missing Bus under).... I can go on and on.
Nope.... they'd rather remove stuff than to add back what's still missing.... even Utes military Island with it's airfield is _still_ missing from the far south sea off the south shore of Skalisky Island..... nope.... let's remove stuff instead 🙄😤

The Tundra being able to use a bottle supressor, besides the ammo capacity , makes it a better sniper rifle than the Blaze. Understandable it would be rarer, but still, 4 to 25? Unbalanced.

The lore concept behind Sakhal is understandable to me, but nerfing Cherno is lame.
People like having more weapons, obviously. not less variety, and on top of that half of the high tier weapons are really rare to find. so most lives are spend with the same few weapons.
So many on sakhal I have so many m4s. M4s can b your first gun as a freshy on sakhal.
It makes sense though. 5.56 is, IMHO, end game loot. It was versatile because you could get an M16 and compete your whole life once you got it, it is still one of the more powerful calibers. I totally understand the nerf, because I used to just spawn and find an M16 early and steal from the next player anything potentially better than what I have. Now though, we need to figure out how each map needs to progress.

Well they took the Damn AK-74U off Livonia which was the only early game AK you could get on that map, So clearly they don't want that either

Why?
because its the kind of update that took no effort or time - and they can ACT like they are updating the game. Its the same thing they did for years now, but yall praise them when they add new animal sounds instead of fixing the game.
This game will never be fixed, cause if they dropped a dlc tomorrow, you'd buy it despite how much they have neglected their community for years now. Despite the game literally being so broken it scares A LOT of players away. Yall dont care, and you'll prove it when that next dlc comes. These game breaking bugs have been in the game for YEARS now...and yall never cared till now that people are finally mass-quitting

They’ve redone the entire weapon pool spawns so many times it’s impossible to keep up if you don’t play very regularly

We have had game breaking bugs in this game for YEARS that dont even get touched while they PRETEND to give big updates. Add a couple hats here and there....and then sell a whole DLC and the community will yet again prove how lazy these devs can be and get away with it.

In a way, it kind of makes sense about the 5.56 being limited on Chernarus. However, from a gameplay perspective, it sucks. The only thing I strongly agree with is the LAR being moved into the gas and the AKM being moved OUT of the gas zone. The AKM should've never been in the gas zones to begin with.

The akm spawning in its old places, ie pre 1.14 is kinda nice. There was no need to put in in gas zones

Because the devs have zero clue nor vision. I've suggested to them multiple, multiple times, especially now, to slightly extend the northern edge of the map a few kilometers north, making the extension a mountain range with just a few random guys or houses tucked up there.... nothing but mountain and snow capped trees, and start fading in snow on the ground around the biathlon arena, ski resort, straight east from there....they could literally draw a line on the map and it gradually gets colder as soon as you start encroaching in on the area....they could even add a bunker into the mountain somewhere with a key card spawning elsewhere on the map.... making it a mission to get up there, and making it blisteringly cold at the top of the mountain....but nope, nothing.... I've been saying this for years now

Anyone remember when they were first implementing the central loot economy? There was one update where the loot was so broken that everyone was starving on the coast. You would see 3 people huddled around an apple tree trying to get any scrap of food they could. If you made it to a military base you would find disinfectant spray and thermometers but not a single gun, mag, or bullet. Then you would randomly check the outhouse in a far north town and find like 5 M4s, 3 vests, a bunch of backpacks, and more ammo than you could carry. It was like an entire server's worth of military loot stacked on top of a toilet. Ah, the good ol days.

Ive been clowning on them for these stupid changes for the better part of a year now. But the community up until now has been praising them for this. Now people are starting to see where I'm coming from. Since they made the update where footwraps are no longer quiet and clothing takes 3x more damage from zombies ive been saying they need to chill on these changes. It feels like theyre making these updates to tick boxes and show investors theyre still working on the game rather than actually trying to please the player base. It feels like they want players to play in a very specific way and theyre trying to push everyone in that direction with these pointless updates. Forcing people to play how you want is only going to make people quit, DayZ is a game who's whole appeal is about being able to make your own adventure and play how you wanna play. Theyre slowly taking that away from us because a loud minority of the playerbase says its what they want.

@@tmoney1487 same here. I kept telling people dropping "animal sound updates" instead of fixing the game is showing what their intentions truly are. The truth is these updates they do take no effort - fixing big bugs would.
They literally make these fake "updates" so they can ACT like they update the game. Its all a facade so they can sell another DLC later. I doubt they'll ever actually address the big game breaking bugs that have been in the game for YEARS. We will get some new hats, maybe a new gun. new new new. The only thing they'll change are things super easy to change nobody cares about. They're running out of meaningful changes they can make in 10 minutes....thats why updates like this happen.
They're literally lazy and scam people for money at this point. Its INCREDIBLE so many people take this weird "its the least I can do for these devs!!" stance like the devs themselves haven't been screwing these people over...they put almost no effort into the game anymore and spend all of their recourses on making the next DLC so they can profit profit profit off of these sad soy boys. Then they pocket it instead of upgrading their studio or dev team.
People act like we just want to hate the game, or even that were bad at it. Id drop most of these kids lol. We just care....more than they do clearly. We like the game too, but being a blind sheep isn't exactly helping its life span. The community made me quit, they wont stand up for themselves. Rather live in ignorant bliss. Even cod kids will complain. - they wont quit - but they'll at least complain. This community is sad at times they're worse than abused girlfriends who wont even so much as admit their man is wrong. a lot of them LOVE these devs...its crazy.
@@jordanna7728DayZ has always been a Love-Hate relationship for me, but recently its been a whole lotta hate and no love. It saddens me to no end. I used to love this game, i have thousands of hours on it. And now it just feels miserable to play. Every update now has something that irks me to no end, amongst changes i would otherwise consider good or just alright. Like hey guys we added new animals and a new map, but you gotta pay $30 and also we're reducing invetory slots by 33-50% across the board and completely flipping the loot spawns on their head, and removing some guns from certain maps...just cause we can. We added a new skybox, but disabled the ability to hide your gun with certain emotes. We added a new fishing lure and a wooden hook, but made it impossible to eat meat from predators without getting sick. These are all decent changes paired with these changes that do nothing but piss me off. They dont make the game harder (unless maybe youre a new player) they just end up doing nothing but creating minor inconveniences and forcing me to change my play style to suit what they think is how i should play. I should be able to play how i want, by my own rules. Not the devs rules, or little Timmys rules who thinks everyone should travel with the bare minimum equipment and always be a nomad who never creates a base or a stash. On top of all that the community is just becoming more and more insufferable, in game all you have is spawn campers and KoSers. In comment sections all you find are people willing to die on a hill that the devs changes are always so great and they never do wrong in any way. 3 years ago the community was allot more chill. I could actually sometimes talk to people in game and make a new friend or reply to someone oin a comment section and get an actual opinion. Now all i get in game is whacked over the head with a sledge hammer or stabbed with a pitch fork for daring to even look or approach another player even straight off spawn. I cant go into a comment section without getting personally insulted by things like "oh youre just bad, get good" or "go back to CoD". The community as well as the devs decisions are pushing me far away from this game. I cant wait to get a PC. At least there are more communities there and mods that i can use to revert these changes the devs keep making that i dont like.
Especially because we're STILL missing around 30 different weapons we either _had_ previously, or were _shown_ and _promised_ to receive and still haven't.....let alone helicopters, our bumblebee airplane, our S1023 minivan, our Multicar, the other variants of the V3S/M3S (the box/enclosed one that's now an ambulance wreck, the open stake body one that carries 13 people, the bare chassis one ECT) , the "could've been game changing" _extra_ base building pieces that were physically leaked a couple years ago that we got to play with until BI found out and had them ripped down from the Workshop.... and we _still_ haven't received them nor anything else base related like the containers, fridge, radios, storage ECT.... the non-lethal weaponry like the dart gun with multiple different dart types, the bow and arrow, the taser and cattle prod, the LAW nor RPG-7 rockets for taking out Arial vehicles and armored vehicles (which we also still haven't received like the Vodnik, Humvee, and armed Humvee)....none of the awesome makeshift twig and grass and camo netting tents and blinds and covers (one was big enough to park a V3S or even our missing Bus under).... I can go on and on.
Nope.... they'd rather remove stuff than to add back what's still missing.... even Utes military Island with it's airfield is _still_ missing from the far south sea off the south shore of Skalisky Island..... nope.... let's remove stuff instead 🙄😤

I have never found myself being able to viably use high tier loot as of recent. Most runs typically see mosin, BK43, sks, bizon, and maybe the ak 74
I think they screwed a lot of weapon spawns. Fact that t1 and 2 weapons spawning in t4..is beyond me. You shouldnt go tru Much Higher risk to find a damn dee bee.

Anyone who cries about the inventory nerfs is a hoarder who doesn't know how to prioritize which items to keep and which ones to drop. The inventory is fine.
@tanybrachid I'm not a hoarder lol like I said before I like wearing civilian clothing, but forgot to mention I used to not use backpacks pretty much light carrying on every run and only used 2 guns with 4 to 5 mags if I have m4 or ak if I have a sniper I would carry 40 rounds cause I don't really snipe as much and as for food everything I cook I eat right away. But now I can't even were the default T shirt lol I don't like wearing military clothes like everyone else im a solo that don't build bases but will make stashes, so I'm far from being a hoarder. Oh and I used to do naked runs only using a sling bag and one gun 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

That explains why i've been looking for a Tundra and only finding Blazes. I like the Blaze but the fact that the Tundra can use a bottle supressor makes it the best sniper rifle.

ive hated almost every change since 1.15
The community has taken too long to speak up, now that they are theyre being pushed back by all the yes men of the community who just find any reason to support the devs decisions and the devs could give less of a fuck what the community actually wants. They obviously want this game to be played in a very specific way, and are making these changes to push that perspective. A horrible decision for a game like DayZ where player choice is 95% of the fun.

The fact that there are "max spawn" limits on guns is why duping is so bad on official.
I wanted to play Vanilla after while but after this update I will never play it again. why woud u remove some weapons completly from the map just make it rare dont delete it ...
Not to mention, you can still gather weapons on other maps and then spawn with your gear with forbidden loot as long as you play official.
I think the Bohemia Interactive Devs want us to play on 3rd party servers.
Or they will add stronger weapons and need to change the loot a bit.

Until duping is fixed, it's destroyed building a base that least. Even a 12, 4 dial gate system inside of a yellow 2 story is no match for the proper duper with just one ied

I like moving the akm out of contaminated zones because it makes sense that it wouldn't be a super rare gun in Eastern Europe, but making the m16 heli crash and convoy only is stupid. Same with 5.56 boxes

Sakahl is completely dead. Nobody on those servers anymore. The people have spoken, they don’t like low-effort lazy asset flips and ignored years-old bugs I guess. Serves the devs right. Shame on them.

I don't mind the changes. I used to avoid using many of these guns because I knew it would be easier to find end tier weapons. Now it feels like I'll have to take the Blaze when I find it, but it's ok because the next guy I find will probably also have a basic gun.

Strange way for the devs to promote community servers
I feel like they want the game to be played strictly as a survival/roleplay game on officials according to their most recent updates. I much prefer it as a milsim survival with factions and base building.
M16 and the Baby AK are usually my starter weapons nearly every life. M16 burst mode is amazing, Can short burst by taping or hold all the way thru for the full 3 rounds.
I don’t understand most of the loot dividing between maps. Maybe some clothing (white hunter gear, chelating tabs, etc) , but I’ve always thought variety was a really great thing. Hopping servers to find random guns takes away from that special part of Dayz, the fact that your character has one life and adventure. And frankly the amount of people that care about geographic relevancy of weapons or if they’d be in that climate or area? Come on, it’s still a game and gameplay is more important than some weird form of realism.
Just remove server hopping. People only abuse it.
And ive been saying it for years, DayZ is not a realistic game. People think it is because it has semi-realistic bullet mechanics and is a survival game. Thats it. For any "realistic" thing you can point out in DayZ i can point out 2 things that are very unrealistic about it. Gameplay balance only matters over realism to some people when it comes to making the game more inconvenient to play.
which is also why they wont change server hopping in the future. something which most of official players want to be implement for years
One thing I never really understood is why there are only such a limited ammount of high tier weapons on each server. It takes one hoarder and noone would be able to find m4's or other rare weapons anymore
Seems like too many cooks in the kitchen. Making people make adjustments to stuff that hasnt needed much tuning. Fix the zombies tracking dont make the damn loot tougher to find
I like surprises and loot variety.
I would like if they made it possible but unlikely for anyghing to spawn anywhere.
A chance low enough that loot progression happens, but looting won't be predictable and un-varied.
And you won't be forced to take the same optimised loot route inland every time.
And it would add realism :)

I like it better this way, especially as a freshie. It's much easier to find guns, ammo and mags now. Before you had to have 4 different guns as a freshie, now you only need 1-2 guns.
I wonder if the reason that some items that say they're configured to spawn don't appear to be due to the number of spawn points is the necessary limits of testing methodology: If you could somehow simulate traffic, or even "loot cycle" during your testing, would perhaps these items start to spawn in the proceeding CLE "ticks"?
Only a guess but I assume the CLE just works it's way down the XML file, meaning some items are more likely to spawn on initialisation than others.
Why remove guns from maps?? Just make them more rare or something at least they’d be much more valuable find. Win win
Idk, i'm a bug fan of these changes. The best part of Dayz imo is the time between finding your first gun, and finding your top tier rifle. Once you have that top level gear, the progression starts to slow down from there. I like the game taking this survival first direction with it's loot and gameplay. Base game is too easy to survive, hence why i've loved every second of Sakhal so far.

Ya, since they add the extra mily areas on Sakhla , balancing loot as a server owner become impossible almost. But my favorite weapon is AK-M so I am happy for the increased and lower tier spawns 😊
