Lovely tractors. I had a brand new 7000 early in 1974 - one of the very first dual power models, and supplied by TH White, Devizes. We had to wait 8 months for it [Remember the 1973/4 three day week?]. Well worth the wait; I loved that tractor. The later 7600 Q cab models didn't match this model - I think the Q cab was too heavy and upset the power to weight ratio - perhaps could have done with a 10 hp boost?
I bet it was lovely to have one new. My Dad has one in the 70s and loved it. I’m not old enough to remember the 3 day week😉😂 yes they definitely needed a bit of boost they are a massive cab for the size of tractor.
