The Water level isn't new or uncommon it's used thru out the construction industry . In situations like Yaba a laser level wouldn't have been practical and a water level is much cheaper and takes no batteries . These shipwrights look rough and tumble but are very talented carpenters . It's been a pleasure watching the progress thanks !

It's amazing to watch this wooden boat rebuild that while using modern tools, is also using methods and techniques that are likely hundreds of years old. I'll bet that when you bought this boat you did not expect that you'd end up documenting traditional boat building techniques and broadcasting them to the world! In any case, I'm glad you did because its fascinating to watch!

M P did you know that the only way to see a rainbow is if the sun is to your back ??? So always when looking for one just stand with sun to your back and if there is a rainbow you will be able to see it. Loved the video 🌹❤️🙏

    Hola MP y Ben.

Using water hose leveling was absolutely must on every construction of house before laser levels came. That’s it. It was must for every single bricklayer. If this is exotic that must be exotic everything. 😂

That bubble tube is a very old technique, presumably back to ancient Egypt, used to build the pyramids. It's simple and very precise.👍
PS And it's still used today like by pool installers !

i thought that planks like that would have had to be steamed to make them flexible to take the pressure off when fitting to the frames , they are using heavy clamps to bend them in place, when i replaced some planks on my boat the builders put them in steam tubes to make them bend to shape, nailed and when dried they stayed that shape.
