I'm Irish but left almost 10 years ago in my late 20s for Australia and now new zealand, I miss it dearly and am seriously considering moving back next year, videos like this help a lot, just hearing an expat talk about ireland the way I struggle to talk about New Zealand or Oz is making my decision easier, long story short, I miss the craic. Awesome video, thanks

No snakes because the Ice Age cut off the island and they never got here when the Ice Age was over. For the same reason we have much fewer native mammals than Britain, which in turn has fewer native mammals than mainland Europe.
And I am sorry you experienced ANY racism. There is zero excuse for that.
And thanks for a lovely video!

The ‘snakes’ are symbolic or irish people themselves, we are pagans, at least we were until the Catholic Church invaded with mercenaries slaughtering the older generations and using the children left to populate under a new rule of government/media & religion exactly like what the ‘covid 19’ lie is being used to do while repopulating with ‘new’ Irish from anywhere but Ireland.
This is common in society but social and mainstream brainwashing desensitises the ‘smart’ or ‘good’ people into defending the 1% while attacking their neighbours trying to help, happens every couple of years when the rulers realise that nobody believes their lies anymore so what do they do? Divide the people of a nation enough to make room for a new demographic who aren’t as clued in on how these people operate, basically what democrats do to the black community in America every four years but we only get this every 100-200 years, it’s genocide, it’s war, it’s slavery, it’s oppression but the people have their consent manufactured for them.

Your grasp of both Irish history, and current affairs, seems to be coming from the lonely wee universe associated with QAnon...
The Catholic Church NEVER invaded Ireland. Ireland became Christian after the various missionaries who were amalgamated into the mythical figure of Saint Patrick converted the native rulers and people. The Catholic Church itself did not exist as an institution until the Great Schism of 1054, when the Eastern Orthodox Church ceased to be in communion with the rest of Christendom(or vice versa, obviously). In Western Europe, the term 'Catholic Church' really only became a thing after the Protestant Reformation...
NO, the Welsh-Norman mercenaries invited in by Dermot Mac Murrough did NOT indulge in "...slaughtering the older generations and using the children left to populate under a new rule of government/media & religion..."
On the contrary, they married Irish women and integrated into Irish Gaelic culture...
The rest of your post is just sad, paranoid nonsense...
Your embrace of the 'Race Replacement' theory is particularly stupid...

@@gloin10 that’s what I was taught in school, never really added up until I start researching the Jesuit order, Jewish mystery schools and the Masonic order as far back as Egypt.
I understand why you believe what’s put in front of us, it’s only natural but you should entertain the possibility that we don’t know everything, or anything for that matter and start seeing if things add up to what the Victors write for us to read.
As for qanon, it’s mostly bs distractions but the pedophilia ties to big politicians is very easy to see and even easier to connect to the dots.

      It's perfectly normal here.
For most of the time, we are the first bit of Europe to feel the impact of the weather systems which come across the Atlantic Ocean, so we get lots of rain, and regular storms. These dominate our weather situation.
However, we are also influenced by cold weather systems which can come down from the Arctic. Then there are the utterly unpredictable systems which sweep east out of Siberia....
All in all, being a meteorologist in Ireland is NOT an easy job...

The reason we don’t have snakes btw is because the main theory is that the land bridges that connected Ireland to Britain thousands of years ago flooded before they could migrate here. There’s at least one species of snake in the UK I believe, but famously that species isn’t here.

Hi, I'm indigenous Irish and I have to say "well done to you girl". This is a very accurate video. Personally, I love our Irish food but I expect an African would find it bland. You're right that it doesn't have as much seasoning as African food. Though, I do also like African food. I love spice and found it very tasty when I tried it 🙂 Even in an Irish stew, I put in extra black pepper to make it a bit spicier. The story of Saint Patrick expelling the snakes is only a myth. But I don't think our climate is the reason either, because England has snakes and their climate is similar to ours. I could theorise why we don't have snakes today but I don't know the real reason why.

Brilliant video. I'm Irish and just saw this now. You are very honest and not patronising. I'm sorry you have had to deal with some racist incidents, but there can be ignorant people that don't reflect the views of the vast majority. One of my friends emigrated from Cameroon about 13 years ago. He had 2 young daughters born there and had 2 sons born in Ireland. He is very funny. We were talking on the street one day and his wife came up to us and started shouting at him in a different language. When she left I asked him what he had done wrong. He started laughing and said that Cameroon women talk like that all the time. It's a funny little cultural difference and I think people should embrace these. Most west African families I know the woman is definitely on charge. They are all very funny and outgoing. Sadly, we haven't had a lot of them making it in the sporting world just yet, but I think that will change very shortly. Again, I loved your video. Referring to the LGBT community as making "lifestyle choices " is a narrow minded comment. I appreciate that you probably didn't mean it that way, but that's offensive.
No one chooses to be gay, lesbian, etc.
Veganism/vegetarianism, sporting activities, drugs and alcohol, even knitting bloody cotton socks, etc. are all lifestyle choices...
These kind of references actually take away all the hard work Ireland has achieved regarding LGBT rights.
PS: I love the rest of the video though! Funny and true 👍

    Ireland isn't really Irish anymore.

    • @gloin10
      @gloin10 3 роки тому +3

      Complete and utter nonsense.
Ireland is far more Irish now than it has been in about 100 years.
We had the English/British maltreatment for more than 560 years, and they did their very best to extirpate our culture, language and people. We're still here...
Under that rule, and the aftermath marked by the War of Independence, the Irish Civil War, the Wall Street Crash, the Economic War with the UK, the Second World War, and the economic desert of the 1950s, we were poor, our population was nearly destroyed by emigration, and we discovered that poverty is not a great basis to build a flourishing culture...
Now, thanks to our EEC/EC/EU membership, Ireland is a rich country. Our society is confident, outward looking, and welcoming. Our culture is in far better shape than it ever was. Our games, pre-Covid-19, were seeing record attendances, while our music is thriving.
And now our food, music, dance and other aspects of our culture and society are being enhanced by the 'New Irish', who bring their own ideas, attitudes and foods to us.
It is much easier to be Irish in a proud, rich and confident country where the curse of effectively compulsory emigration has been lifted...

The issue is not, nor never was, about the daft concept of "...Gaelic blood..."
      Is that green?
The fact is that, thanks to more than half a millennium of English/British interference in Ireland, our population was decimated, not once but at least twice, while our culture, language and society was under sustained and consistent assault during that period.
Your attempt to use the 'No True Scotsman' fallacy against me fails, because I was born in Ireland, of Irish parents, was reared in Ireland and educated in Ireland.
I am "...real Irish...", as "...real Irish..." as anyone can be. I have never had the slightest inclination to be anything else for more than 60 years, you silly ignoramus...
As for your alleged "...real Irish who agree with me...", sorry, but that's one problem with being an English speaking country stuck between the UK and the USA;...
We have no national linguistic filter to stop your sort of ignorant bullshit leaking in, and some of our population are idiots, just like every other country...
My country was, when I was young, a poor, grey, depressing Catholic theocracy. Now it is rich, vibrant, and far more colourful.
We are much better off being an open society that welcomes immigrants. These are people who WANT to be Irish. They appreciate Irish society and culture, because they were NOT born into it, and are able to make serious comparisons about it.

I would not be claiming any particular enligjtment.
I simply try to behave like a civilised human being.
There is also the reality that marriage to immigrants/foreigners is a feature of my family and indeed Irish society in general these days.
For most Irish people, being anti-immigrant is a bit difficult because one of your family is probably married to an immigrant, and some of your grandchildren are probably called Pavel, Ivan or Aylin...
It's rather difficult to be rabidly racist when your own flesh and blood is half 'bloody foreigner'...
