lol i broke my idler arm and bend a tie rod end a rausch creek last year, of corse the people I went with wanted to rock crawl, I want to check out the trails you were on next time I go. I love my blazer other than the front end parts breaking alll the time
@wickedjester9 Those are nice trucks. I like the older ones a lot because they still had a solid front axle and they were built like freaking tanks. They make VERY good offroaders. If/when you get your truck hit me up and maybe we can plan a trip to rausch creek! You would love it there! 3,000 acres of private offroad park FULL of badass trails.
this winter its getting torn down and im doing a custom 12 inch lift so i can fit atleast 38s under it... when im done it wont be street legal in pa anymore cause the tires will be sticking out about 4 inches past the legal limit... lol.. im stealing the axles and radius arms off a 79 bronco so i will have alot of articualtion so i can hit up the black trails at rausch creek come spring...
@AggravatedBoy i was rather surprised at how good it did there.. the only reason i bent my steering is becuase i decided to go through a black trail backwards.. lol.. that truck is far gone now. but its parts are still rolling around on someone elses rig..
I dont know what is is about the chevys. I went wheelin with a buddy in his s-10 pickup and as soon as he hit rausch he started overheating, then his 4 wheel drive wouldnt work. I had to tow him out with my XJ. PITA babysitting all day. The fullsizes seem to do well but the s-10's and blazers are tender. Espicially the steering.
its a factory g80 rear.. dunno what it didnt ingage in the one part over the rocks but a couple months later i blew out my spider gears so it could have had something to do with it
yeah i do apoligize for that but there was people coming the other way.. i bent my idler arm on a rock right there when i stopped and i really didnt have a choice... i tried to tread as lightly as possible but there was really no way around the bush... i do apoligize...
dude, you are going to make me steal my mums blazer now
