- Few years ago, petrol was the only fuel that powered the scooters but now electric scooters are also available in the market. There is much confusion around the market that between petrol scooter and electric scooter, "Which is better?". Two-wheeler technology has come a long way. We have several options to choose from, including the recently introduced electric variants. While it is agreed that non-carbon-based fuel is the way of the future, the technology has not reached full scalability yet. There are a lot of homegrown automobile manufacturers that are banking on the electric scooter segment and have also been incentivized by the government to fast-track their projects.

Very helpful video. Genuine facts have been discussed here. But I myself have experienced riding electric bike manufactured by one of the best e-bike manufacturer in Kolkata Viertric Motors. My friends have been using Viertric's electric scooter since a long time now and no issues found so far. Very comfortable, durable, no battery issues, good mileage and affordable too. I believe people should invest in electric scooters more now and should think in favor of our environment.

Running cost is very less for electric vehicles,this person has told the difference is 10-20 percent but the difference is 80 percent or more.3-4 units for full charge in chetak,20 rs per 80 Kms, petrol vehicles mein 120 rs per 80 Kms.

My view: if you have a petrol bike, dont look at petrol cost to migrate to electric. Bcoz you have to add cost of battery replacement atleast once in 5years. If dont have any bike and commute is weekly 100-200km then electric is ok.
Cost of battery is once every five years whereas cost of petrol is 100 rs every 1-2 days , hmm... I can definitely say that battery one is more money saver in the long range
