      You should! It's wicked in winter, although can be known to be below -10 degrees overnight 🥶

    Awesome video as always. Am looking at doing that trip myself in the near future. Any recommendations on what i might need? I have a 2012 holden colorado with a 2n lift, 265 75 r16 rt tires, snorkel and breather kit. Say a tag along mate in another 4bie and or other things?

      Your rig is set up nice to handle the track without issue. You can check the river flow by googling Arrow River Flow Meter and anything above 7cumecs is going to be questionable and experience required.
      The first 8 crossings are the hardest part so just pick your lines right through there and you are going to have a great time!

      @@lostsheepadventures how about a stock surf with just 32" all terrains?

    Nothing better than snow other than deep crossings, but too short mate, didn't even cover my half hour lunch break lol, sorry.
    Such a great place Macetown the drive in and out, definitely got to get back down there sometime, the tight bluffs with the soft mud at the edges, might concern me in my big 80, though I am sure it was fine, if the 110 could stay on there, no probs huh.
    Good video though as as usual well shot, never tire of Central Otago.
    Not a YT expert by any means, but ya want ya video's a bit over 10min long, apparently that is the minimum length, for the YT algorithms to work effectively, from what I have seen other tubers say about how it works anyways.
    I have noticed it myself when longer channels with longer vids (some I have followed for nearly 10years, others 3-5years for example) they do seem to grow bigger and faster reach a wider audience, just an fyi fwiw.
    Cheers, keep em coming! 🤘

      Completely! Hard niche to get longer videos out though when I'm not getting stuck 😅 would like to get around 20-30 minute videos but need almost a 3 day trip to get there.
      Thanks for the feed back though! Always appreciate the views of my audience. I'll try get it to that 20 minute video for ya 😁

    Don't you guys use chains .

    • @lostsheepadventures
      @lostsheepadventures 7 днів тому +5

      We were both carrying full sets but the conditions didn't demand for it. It was just too warm in there.
      Chains are mainly needed when the ground temperature is cold enough to freeze but having a 18 degree day just the day earlier ment that the snow wasn't hanging around long nor freezing on the track. Unfortunate as that was the goal, to get in there with chains but guess that will have to wait until next year now.
