Submarine IJN I-400 - wikipedia

Was the worlds only Aircraft Carrier Submarine. Looks Great ! 👍
Good job, it's amazing that you use the same technique you used with the Yamato but this time with a submarine under water. Greetings from México.
Historical fact: The submarine you used for the diorama belonged to the sen-toku class. Admiral Yamamoto wanted to use these aircraft carrier submarines to destroy the Panamá Canal, but due to the situation in Japan at the end of the war, he decided to call off the attack.
PS: Introduction of I-400 (Shion) in Kantai Collection:
Nice to meet you, admiral. I am the oldest of the Sentoku class, the first ship, I-400. Hmmm... You can call me... Shio... Err... Shion.
I always wanted to do the I-400 because it has a plane
Nice design with resin
Both I-400 and I-401 are still at the ocean floor near Hawaii after the war. The U.S. Navy scuttled them to keep them from falling in the hands of the Soviets. By the way, I think you might find interesting. In Star Trek: The Next Generation season 2 Episode 11 there is a ship in that episode with the name Yamato(which is the sister ship to Enterprise-D from that series).
Superb job as always, really enjoyed it.
I-400 my beloved
literally... the I-400 (the whole class also) is my favourite subs
Looks cool, great idea und well done
I like It, what will happen if you put a sheat of dark marin blue under the base, you don't need to glue It, just to see how will be on the top. Will it look like deep sea?
Bubbles a problem. I’ve seen a pressure vessel used. After poring the resin the whole thing is placed in a pressure vessel till it cures, probably at 30 to 50 psi. Love your work but marred by the bubbles.🇦🇺
Great job 👌👌👌
Amazing!
magnifique 👍👍
this is underwater aircraft carrier
You can try using a vacuum chamber to remove some of the bubbles. But still great job, looks amazing
it's not a great job though, lol, the fuck is wrong with you people, it's a big huge fail, no weathering, too many bubbles, big split down the middle and yet you still think it's a good job, no, a great job, lol ... wow 🤦♂️
To much bubbles for me but still a great diorama
nice!
regarding the bubbles maybe a surfacing position would be better xD I understand the difficulties of polishing the resin with parts above the surface but because of the waving finish the top side dont need to be perfect.. also it would bring some life into the diorama which isnt a bad thing as we talking about a diorama... building up by layers even a torpedo launching is possible to depict injecting air into the not set resin.. of course all these unproved ideas xD
Yeah, bubbles a problem. I’ve seen these sort of things done where after they pour the resin they put the whole thing in a pressure vessel under perhaps 30 to 50 psi till it cure’s. Maybe a solution🇦🇺
Hmm, would USS Barb(Gato Class) be next? The only US ship that demolished a Train during the Second World War. How?, Train Wrecking with a Mine set by crew who was a Eagle Scout,
Fantastique!
too many bubbles for me and a separating line at the waterline, why?😬
The bubbles may be from stirring the epoxy too fast and the separating at the waterline is from pouring the epoxy in 2 separate stages
@@roadweary5252 the 'why' was rhetoric. I used to be an ipms contest judge at my modelling years, so if ppl post their work for feedback, I would call out the most obvious things that can be improved
@@t3avelos ahh gotcha.
and no weathering what so ever, makes it a bland, uninteresting diorama
cool
👍👍👍
❤
Hi Amegraphy, I tried your water melting acrylic idea but I failed and I ruined my HMS Prince of Wales hull if anyone has one, will you please give it to me thx
no weathering on the sub ? too many air bubbles, visible center layer ... horrible and boring diorama
Make it better
Be nice I reckon that is true but I use a sharpie to paint me models for better control Also does anyone have a spare HMS Prince of Wales hull O can use?
who even weathers the subs ? :D
@@murderouskitten2577 Grown adults do. Now back to mummies tit lil fella.
@@sam_the_dachsund_47_85 you use "sharpies" to paint your models ... 🤦♂️ ... wow
