Tis the Season: My Favorite Light Brown Inks in 2024!

- Let's look at some light brown inks! I'm a big fan of brown inks, and I've got at least 5 categories of brown inks, and if you don't see your favorite here it might be in the next one. So, follow along, find a new favorite ink, and tell me what your favorite light brown inks are!
Some of these categories are really specific, but that's how my colodex is organized, so that's what we get! These aren't in a particular order, and sometimes there are more than 5. Honorable mentions are always an option!

** I got these inks from all sorts of sources. I try not to let that sort of thing sway my reviews. What you see is what I got. Thanks for the support, Patrons! **

I like Ferris Wheel Press “ Workshop Wishes”
I would put “Bronze Age” in the gray/brown category.
Can’t wait to see the rest of your brown inks.
One of my favorite color choices
Well then buckle up because this week is all browns!
Robert Oster Cafe Crema is really beautiful. Love it. You have exquisite taste in inks. Thanks for a great video.
Thank you so much!
I really like brown inks.
There are more of us than you'd think!
For me: Diamine Sepia, Diamine Gingerbread and FWP Goose Poupon. I have a large collection of browns.
Goose Poupon is kinda too green to fit in the browns for me, but it's real fun to say.
Currently have my Pilot 823 "brown" inked with RO Caffe Crema, and I agree with/ can attest to your comment about it being "dry", especially in my 823 with a fine nib. Cheers!
How is that combo working out? My 823 fine is on the wetter side, but it totally dries up when I forget to open the valve.
@@inkdependence Yep! Same here. I'm thinking I might order a few ebonite feeds from the "flexible nib factory" (currently have three 823's) to improve the flow. I have one in my 912 and love it! Cheers!
Great choices! Although some of them I wouldn’t classify as ‘light’ brown 😝 You might want to give Sailor Kamoshika and Colorverse Giant Potato a try. They’re light by still legible.
Browns are a weird colorspace, and there are going to be lots of borderline cases here. And sooo much subjectivity.
Another good light brown is Anderillium Tolype Moth Warm.
That one does look cool! I don't know if I have it, though...
The Caffe Crema is the only one that I might be tempted to use; the others are a bit too washed out for my tastes, I think. I don’t dislike them, but probably wouldn’t buy a bottle.
But I always enjoy seeing what’s in your collection.
And I am in complete agreement with you about the wonder that is Pamana Brown!

Fair!
Sesame Oil is kinda the same color as your desk. It sort of looks like there's just a big, weird shaped, hole in the card.
I always wonder who would write with a brown ink, let alone a light brown .... 🤔
There seems to be quite a few people who like them ....
OK, nobody's perfect 😅
Apparently! Some folks DON'T like brown inks!
