The Spanish destroyed Tenochtitlan and if they had not destroyed the "Templo Mayor", today Mexico would probably have 2 wonders of the world; Templo Mayor in Mexico City and Chichen Itza/Kukulcan Pyramid in Yucatan. The little that was rescued was discovered some time later thanks to the fact that it was underground.

I wouldn’t say it gets a fully bad rap. Mexican food, culture, and hospitality is widely recognized in the US and Spanish is the second most spoken language in the US by a landslide. In fact many Americans know far more about Mexico than Canada

Mexico City has so many museums and they are big. We were in Mexico City for one month and half, 1 1/2. It rained so hard in the afternoon with loud thunder and lightning the whole time we were there. Even I was getting tired of so much walking, I kept walking to see things around us before coming home to Los Angeles, California USA 🇺🇸. We visited Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, so many times and it was always full of people. I didn’t understand that much of Spanish, but when people stood up, we stood up as well. We took the taxis, and we told taxi drivers where we wanted to go and it was OK. Some were cheaters, and took advantage of not able to speak Spanish. I used my Tagalog Language (Philippines’ Language) similar to Spanish and still they took advantage of foreigners from America, American dollars $. We took the metro, tour bus and other means of public transportation to get around, Uber. We stayed around the Angel Rotanda and Polanco. Polanco is for rich people and the shopping mall is for all brand names products. There is a place, called The Rodeo, closer to Polanco Shopping Mall. Rodeo, is in Beverly Hills, in California USA 🇺🇸. We had wonderful time. I was given Fake Mexican money for my hundred dollars $. We were at this place so many times, The President, Palacio. Today’s date is May 31, 2024, from Los Angeles, California USA 🇺🇸, Friday afternoon. We were in Mexico City from July thru August 2023, 1 1/2 months. Thank you for sharing your video. From A Filipino perspective, I wish Old Manila City would be as clean as this, especially Intramuros, Quaipo, Recto, Avenida & Malate. We have modern town districts like Ayala Makati, Ortigas, BGC, etc. Still, we need these clean public places thrown away from major city districts of Manila like Pasay, Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, & the Old Downtown Manila, which is now underdeveloped. They say Mexico is a poor and dangerous country too, but seeing this I really feel the great vibe.

Muy agradecida con USA por tantas oportunidades que me e sabido ganar y aprovechar pero la verdad a como extraño mi Mexico muchas pero muchas veces camine ese trayecto que tú hiciste de la mano de mi hijo que en ese entonces era pequeño. Lo enseñe a andar en metro , en combis, microbús o camión, a caminar por el centro. Lo oriente a que si se me perdía lo que tenía que hacer ( afortunadamente nunca pasó) . Nunca me dijo que ,no siempre le gusto caminar y era re-bueno para hacerlo . Ya fuera que empezáramos del metro Hidalgo o Bellas Artes para terminar si fuera posible en Tepito. Ó empezamos por Tepito y terminábamos en eje central y sus alrededores. Mi corazón se lleno de alegría y nostalgia al ver esas imágenes …Gracias .

From A Filipino perspective, I wish Old Manila City would be as clean as this, especially Intramuros, Quaipo, Recto, Avenida & Malate. We have modern town districts like Ayala Makati, Ortigas, BGC, etc. Still, we need these clean public places thrown away from major city districts of Manila like Pasay, Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, & the Old Downtown Manila, which is now underdeveloped. They say Mexico is a poor and dangerous country too, but seeing this I really feel the great vibe.

Nose como le agrandan mucho a mexico y por casualidad entre a este video y tienen lo mismo que en otro país, deberían viajar mas los mexicanos mirar países como Colombia Argentina Chile o Brasil es lo mismo, y hasta inclusive mejor que allí, deberian bajarle mas a su "orgullito" Aquí las calles y los edificios son mucho mas lindo ahí veó que es muy antiguo muy colonial y está bien, dentro de todo, pero es normal nada de el otro mundo, viajen mas acá por el Sur veran mejores cosas mejores playas y el turismo es mejor. Muy agradecida con USA por tantas oportunidades que me e sabido ganar y aprovechar pero la verdad a como extraño mi Mexico muchas pero muchas veces camine ese trayecto que tú hiciste de la mano de mi hijo que en ese entonces era pequeño. Lo enseñe a andar en metro , en combis, microbús o camión, a caminar por el centro. Lo oriente a que si se me perdía lo que tenía que hacer ( afortunadamente nunca pasó) . Nunca me dijo que ,no siempre le gusto caminar y era re-bueno para hacerlo . Ya fuera que empezáramos del metro Hidalgo o Bellas Artes para terminar si fuera posible en Tepito. Ó empezamos por Tepito y terminábamos en eje central y sus alrededores.
Mi corazón se lleno de alegría y nostalgia al ver esas imágenes …Gracias .

Capitalism is great, but it has to have serve us, not destroy us. And there is bunch of other problems like social media, huge wealth gap ETC. Recuerdo en mi ciudad La Paz, barrios Calacoto, Miraflores, Sopocachi. Asi era la gente de esas zonas. Ahora hubo un tipo de reemplazo cultural y étnico.
