Yakko's World karaoke version -- Animaniacs Nations of the World

A couple years ago, I discovered a video of a cosplay group who used my MIDI file of the Animaniacs theme for a very funny skit they did at an anime convention ("Anime-niacs"). The following year, having now found me online, they asked if I could make a MIDI file of Yakko's World for a new skit they wanted to do ("The Animes of the World" -- more like of Japan, surely?).
So I made this MIDI file for them (actually, the one I made them had a special extended ending for the purposes of their skit).
Only recently did I come up with this idea of using the MIDI file to make a karaoke version of Yakko's World, so that folks out there can dub in their own voice tracks. I know you crazy fans are out there! Let's hear it!

This song comes from the second episode of the Warner Bros. cartoon series "Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs", broadcast on 14 September 1993. Obviously, the music is The Mexican Hat Dance (the original storyboard even had Yakko wearing a different hat for each area he sings about). ... it's Benin, also called out by its former name, Dahomey. It's the only country mentioned by name twice. A couple of places have their capital cities mentioned in addition to the country name -- San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Algiers, Algeria -- but Benin/Dahomey is the only whole country mentioned and lit up twice.)

I was eating at a Quizno's last year and overheard parents testing their daughter on U.S. state capital cities. She was struggling to remember them. I was tempted to start singing Wakko's America... but I actually can't quite remember the whole thing. Like Yakko's World -- I've never memorized it. Yet, there was a time when I could sing the Animaniacs theme in five languages from memory, so that's something, I guess!

+Xylo Piano It's easier to memorize than you might realize. All it takes is repetition. Work through it one verse at a time, and eventually it just becomes like muscle memory.

this is so true!! I find that when I start to sing it now I am almost not even thinking about the lyrics and my mouth automatically sings them. I did what you said and sang one verse at a time repeatedly.

Cool. There was a time when I could sing the Animaniacs theme in five languages from memory. I think I've only ever heard the Spanish-language version of Yakko's World other than the English. I might have it in Italian and Japanese though and just forgot about it. I do have several episodes in those languages.
I transcribed the music by ear and created the MIDI track myself, same as I did for the Animaniacs theme years ago, only this one is more precisely matched to the original.

I sung Yakko's World at my high school's last concert of the year to show off my singing skills. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be! Luckily I had a good few months to learn and sing it between classes, so I pretty much got the whole thing down. Thanks for the track! (I also mentioned you in the description.)

San Juan is the capital of Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico and Guam are territories of the U.S, Algiers is the capital of Algeria, Scotland's independence failed. Caribbean isn't a country, French Guyana (or Guiana) is a territory of France, they said Tobago and not Trinidad and Tobago, they said Cayman and not Cayman Islands, Burma is now Myanmar, they said "Asia", Dahomey is now Benin, the Spanish Sahara has been gone, Transylvania has been a part of Romania many years before this song, Yugoslavia dissolved, but making a song can take up to months.

Hasosi took me 2 months to memorize this song, the updated version Rob Paulsen made, and the one Deuterium the Sentient Mattress updated.
This piece uses amazing background chords and basic instruments to create an orchestra, like, song. Also, each section uses mostly the same instruments but creates a different vibe depending on the location. (ex. Using maracas for South America or a light horn for Europe) it is a fine example of a wonderful Animaniacs song that sounds it's best when stripped away from vocals. Not saying that the wonders of Rob Paulsen's acting isn't fascinating, but it stands just as well as a song without the vocals.
8/10- Not the best instrumental track i've heard, but it is still a wonderfull use of basic instruments and a new style each section of the song.
