I really enjoyed this style too 😊 It's so refreshing to see a positive review of Book of Night because it seems like everyone I've seen read it has had issues with it. I started it before xmas but had to return it to the library & wasn't really far enough into it to feel one way or the other. I'm keen to pick it up again now.
I think what I loved so much about it was the magic system! I just haven’t stopped thinking about how good of an idea it was to get magic from shadows and that you would have to feed your shadow your own blood to even use it
@@BrittanytheBibliophile Yeah it definitely felt like a fascinating concept based on what I did read. It'll be great to see where it leads especially given that there's a sequel planned (I think).
fangs was so cute and fun!! also i'm very much the same way when it comes to rereading the first books from series before starting the next. it always feels like too much effort and i'm far too stubborn and lazy lolol. but im lucky in the same way where everything eventually comes back to me
Red Rising is my favorite series ever! Dark Age is probably the darkest book i've read in my life and the death scene you described left me speechless. Would love to see a reading vlog when Lightbringer comes out!
That scene left me in shock, I actually had been listening to the audiobook when it happened and had to pause it to reread the chapters before it and physically read the scene to get the full scope of it. I actually cut out like 10 minutes of me just raving about the book too hahaha so it’s good to know I’m not alone in my adoration
I am late but I am EXCITED😂 I already anticipate the chaos🥲🖤 I only read Demon in the wood, my fav bit of the grishaverse, so this whole video is just me vibing to mini rants✨️ Scratch that, also read Heart of flames and it made me drop the trilogy🙃
Great readings!! I loved the Raven Graphic novel!! I want to tell you that i finished The Atlas Six and i loved it, 5 ⭐!! You hace to put it un your 2023 reading list!! Kisses from Argentina!!
It was so disappointing 🥲 I thought I’d accidentally skipped a page when it happened since it’s so unlike JLA, and I kept going back and forth in shock
I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid in November 2022 and I was a little nervous because I kind of knew it wasn't going to be a 5 star for me and I gave it 3.75 stars. I liked it but not a 5 star for me and I'm sad 😔 but I am going to read her other books this year 🤩🤩🤩
That’s fair!! I think the concept of it is better than the overall execution for that one- if I’d read Daisy Jones and the Six before Seven Husbands I think I would’ve given Seven Husbands a lower rating overall
@@BrittanytheBibliophile i agree. I actually read Daisy Jones back in 2019 and because it was set up interview format, that put me off a little bit but I am going to reread it again this year to see if I like it even more 💜💜
Book of night is gonna be a duology! I LOVED Teen Titans! It was one of the best cartoon shows! Teen Titans GO was just terrible and a shame to the original cartoon :(
Ahh my friend Mika from Mika Auguste actually got it for me 😭 it came in pairs, since it’s the parabatai rune & it adds your birthstone to it- I’m pretty sure she found it on Etsy!
I liked the way Brittany talked about The Heart Principle, I really took it to heart.
Lol This was fun! I was wondering when the video was going to come out that you kept on talking about in your other vlogs lol.

I'm so glad you loved Book of Night! I was on the opposite end of that spectrum but I wanted to love it too!

I'm glad you had a great time with most of those books ! Fangs is one of my favorite graphic novels ☺️ I think I'll read the little prince this year
It was such a cute read to get you thinking 🤍
It seems we have the same taste in unpopular books! First The Maidens and now Book of Night 😁 I'm just glad I'm not alone in enjoying those books haha

The heart principle is my favourite in the trilogy. Just experiencing both characters in depth and being so relatable. Tear jerker for me. 💜💐🤗
Yesss! I think it’s having the full scope of both characters that really rounded it out for me as well
I would deff read The Midnight Library. It's such a cool book and Matt Haig is just a phenom writer
I’ve been so hesitant to pick up our violent ends 😅
I’m SORRRRRYYYYYY but it was a FADE TO BLACK SCENE?! I knew not to buy that damn book. Oh my god. I’m so sorry you had to go through that.
It was so disappointing 🥲 I thought I’d accidentally skipped a page when it happened since it’s so unlike JLA, and I kept going back and forth in shock
Recently watched a compilation of Junji Ito’s short story works on Netflix and yea body horror is…..wow😂
Fangs was amazing and fantastic and I really enjoyed it prayers and thoughts for you and your family love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤

Ugh agreed, teen titans go was not it for me- especially since the OG cartoon was so phenomenal
@@BrittanytheBibliophile ahh yesss!!! I was really hoping for Starfire arc when they were being returned :(
does anyone know where Brittany got her shadowhunter rune necklace? :)

@@BrittanytheBibliophile aww that's so cute, thank you for responding! :)
Where did you get your orange beanie I’ve been trying to find good ones 😂
It’s actually my boyfriends hahah he got it from Justin Biebers clothing line- Drew, I’m pretty sure?
@@BrittanytheBibliophile ahh thanks Queen 🧡🧡

Hahaha the only kind I seem to be able to make
I know that Lyssa Kay Adams wrote The Bromance Book Club as a sad joke, because she knows it is unfortunately, unlikely.
That’s actually interesting to know! Definitely coincides with how I felt about it
