China and Europe are compared to each other a lot, but what about India? Buddhism was invented in Nepal, yet it never replaced Hinduism in India. The Maurayan empire was comparable in power to Romans and the Han, yet it had no faith which grew with a logistic curve. Another thing to consider is that the Mongols endorsed Buddhism over the more subversive Daoism which was dominant prior to their arrival. Therefore, Buddhism didn't follow a logistic curve. Rather, there was sudden spike in the 13th century following a plateau.

About the suggestion if religion is coming back I would say that the mayor religions were just a thing of a certain period in time. 20 years ago there were certainly some indications that faith was having a comeback but now it's not that clear and in my view it has waned again.

A take home mid-term examination, now that is a interesting concept. I guess that means, you don't have to learn a thing, you can just pay someone to write the paper for you. How about a paper, about the demise of the American Educational system, I find it absolutely idiotic that history text books have to constantly be re-arranged to try and please every cultural group in America. Instead of just having a chronological order, or some other order that makes much more sense, and doesn't bend to the will of minority groups. As for women in history and having to bend to the will of women, wanting more women in history. I would like to hear about what there ideas of historic women are? There are some "great" women in history. Although, the greatest ones were the one that are completely forgotten. Such as the Greek playwright who wrote about the end of the war with Sparta. I believe it was called the Great Greek Poke-out, the men were all ordered to go and vote to end the war with Sparta, or else they would not be bearing anymore children for their husbands. Vote placed, war done with!
Now I did find the comparison/contrast between the Greek/Roman Empires to the Chinese Empire to be VERY interesting, and in today's world, with the rise of China, much more pertendant to understanding the mindset of the Chinese.
